@@catalyst539 Not true actually. I had my wiiu running botw for a few days straight, and I got a random blood moon during the day. So it is possible, and they probably become more frequent the more random junk is left behind in ram, hence why you see it more often when the game is modded.

I did something like this. I killed all Taluses, Hinoxes, Moldugas, Lynels, and most of the Guardians but I delayed the blood moon by staying in shrines and hyrule castle.
I have been living that life as well along with no guardians as well for about 2 years now. I have been trying to kill even all minor enemies during 23hr day trips away from the castle. The game does not like it though. I get the sudden and back to back blood moons. Then i just reload my hard save and have fun again. Sometimes i let the blood moon go just to have fun hunting the mini bosses again.
@@theskywalker8416 after you go into a shrine right before a blood moon, it’ll reset the timer, giving you another 3 hours or so of bloodmoonless gameplay. If you do certain actions, the game can’t handle them and will force a blood moon to happen

I remember that I used to skip the blood moon by entering a sanctuary at the last moment. The Blood moon just waits to next the next night for some reason.
Because the blood moon is used to save the game as well, so if it doesn't work properly, it glitches the game. So that's why it goes off the next night, so that it can save as fast as possible.
@@fakeAratPrime to provide a little more detail, the game remembers what effects you've had on the world, the enemies you've killed, the loose items you've picked up, etc. However, there's a limit to how much the game can remember, at least the way they designed it, and so one function the Blood Moon provides is to reset everything so that the game can "forget" all of those details. It's also probably a game design function as well. The world would become too barren over time if things didn't reset.

I remember when I first started botw and heard about "hyrule being overrun by monsters" I actually planned to kill all of them and free the land, so I killed all the enemies on the great plateau, but then one day as I was skipping the night at a campfire I got the blood moon cutscene. At first I thought Zelda was going to remind me to get my shit together and actually progress the story... needless to say, I was very disappointed lol
I think I’d much prefer the game if the blood moons stopped after you defeat Ganon. Then there would be real progress you can make in cleaning up Hyrule. But at the same time I know Kilton would be sooo upset
This was one of my favorite gameplay videos of BOTW to watch yet. Props to you for defeating all the camps, and then editing all this gameplay... especially after failing narrowly the first time, and then trying again after learning speedrun tactics. Considering there are runs for doing certain things before other things happen in other games, a "kill as many as you can before Blood Moon" run could be interesting (extend from monster camps to adding bosses and more, with a shrineless run so there's two different runs between clearing the map and "how many can you kil" 🤔 )

in case you are wondering, he had just over 3 min to defeat each monster camp on average, and that's not including the travel time between each one. he had three min to go to a monster camp and defeat it, on average.
This was riveting. I watched the whole thing through. One TINY flaw to a perfect video is that I wish there were time stamps next to camps cleared. I want to try this, even though I probably won't make your time, I want a point of comparison. Thanks in advance if you choose to on any future runs!
Watching this only 3 days away from tears of the kingdom makes me realise just how fun the combat in breath of the wild was and how much better it’s gonna be in tears of the kingdom. Can’t wait
I would have loved the option for the blood moon to stop after beating the game. Being able to destroy all monsters for good. I just want a post game in zelda. A post evil world.(that would probably be a lot of work for the devs though)
The camps are tougher to best than I thought before seeing a bunch of them together. I'm impressed with how far you got before the Blood Moon. Not bad.
You never get a blood moon during The Isolated Plateau (I thought the bomb shrine was a guardian and was there for 75 hours) but when you complete it the blood moon will happen that night if you were there for at least 2 hours 48 minutes
@Justin Powers 2:48:15 is the amount of time without menus before blood moon, so I’m not wrong. Blood moon is on a timer. Since I was way over the time, it had to give it the same night.

I was recently playing skyward sword, and on the topic of blood moons and therefore Ganon, I realized that Demise has a scar on his head right wear dark beast ganon has the final blow dealt, could this be a connection?
Had quite some fun with this challenge, three years on! I don't do wind bombs, so it became clear it's impossible to clear all 54 camps before the first bloodmoon without the technique. After a dozen of tries, 42 was the max I'd do. I hid inside temples for the remaining 12 in Hebra and Gerudo Mountains. Still had fun!
a challenge that I thought of, the rules: You cannot hold living items in the materials section of the inventory (i.e flowers, fruit, mushrooms, misc, animals/insects and meat) for more than 10 minutes at a time, this excludes monster parts, guardian parts, minerals, fairies and dragon parts. Any food item you wish to eat from your materials section, must be washed first, and any meals from the food section must be eaten in as soon as you make it. In cold areas materials last 15 minutes and in hot areas materials last 5 minutes. When it gets to night you have to sleep, unless you are in a divine beast or shrine. You can modify this if you want to make it more difficult or easy for yourself.

You don't have to, you can just hit them twice with a sword
If you hold a lit torch up, then once they get close they fly away without attacking.

I hate lizalfos they are really annoying especially in the water but they have amazing weapons so yeah
Lizalfos are irritating as hell so I think moldugas and lynels are the coolest

I would have loved the option for the blood moon to stop after beating the game. Being able to destroy all monsters for good. I just want a post game in zelda. A post evil world.(that would probably be a lot of work for the devs though)

You never get a blood moon during The Isolated Plateau (I thought the bomb shrine was a guardian and was there for 75 hours) but when you complete it the blood moon will happen that night if you were there for at least 2 hours 48 minutes

@Justin Powers 2:48:15 is the amount of time without menus before blood moon, so I’m not wrong. Blood moon is on a timer. Since I was way over the time, it had to give it the same night.
@Justin Powers that’s why I said if you were there at least that long. The timer still goes, the moon can’t happen until the plateau is beaten.
This video is an example that hard work and strategy can achieve the impossible. Nice run. Keep it up.
BTW, I never knew a hourse can be a weapon.
I want an extension of this where you kill every enemy in the game before they can respawn, maybe while also using said moon delaying exploits

I was recently playing skyward sword, and on the topic of blood moons and therefore Ganon, I realized that Demise has a scar on his head right wear dark beast ganon has the final blow dealt, could this be a connection?

It was confusing how you didn’t go for bombs first, you could have defeated plateau camps way faster IMO
Had quite some fun with this challenge, three years on! I don't do wind bombs, so it became clear it's impossible to clear all 54 camps before the first bloodmoon without the technique. After a dozen of tries, 42 was the max I'd do. I hid inside temples for the remaining 12 in Hebra and Gerudo Mountains. Still had fun!

Why is this music perfect
a challenge that I thought of,
the rules:
You cannot hold living items in the materials section of the inventory (i.e flowers, fruit, mushrooms, misc, animals/insects and meat) for more than 10 minutes at a time, this excludes monster parts, guardian parts, minerals, fairies and dragon parts.
Any food item you wish to eat from your materials section, must be washed first, and any meals from the food section must be eaten in as soon as you make it.
In cold areas materials last 15 minutes and in hot areas materials last 5 minutes.
When it gets to night you have to sleep, unless you are in a divine beast or shrine.
You can modify this if you want to make it more difficult or easy for yourself.
