- The Gerudo are one of longest running groups in the series, featuring their incredibly distinct militant style of outfits and weaponry. But just by using all of this gear without picking up any other type, is it possible to clear all divine beasts and beat the game? I really hope you all enjoy the run!! :)

@@wPorpeta yeah, a lot of blights have those details that show why they had an advantage against their champion, for example fire blight can stay too high for Daruk to hit him and has a range attack, plus being the blight that can deal more damage with a single blow

but yeah they should just let him in normally, they even let him keep their heirloom, THE THUNDER HELM, WHICH IS ONLY WORN BY THE CHIEFS, YET THEY STILL LOCK HIM OUT
@@justinbombach9873 Technically they already broke it. In the town you find some Gorron that are surprised that they were let in. There are no Gorron women and even if they are technically not Male either their confusion obviously shows that they consider themselves men, or at least not women. By letting in Male identifying Gorron they are violating their own laws. Also it's probably only because Gorrons have gemstones that the Gerudo adore so it makes it even worse.

I still remember being kinda disappointed that Urbosa's fury can't be used without a weapon
It would've been a neat detail if Link could just snap his fingers to use it like urbosa did especially because he literally does it when he first obtains it
Fun fact: This is the only challenge run where croton doesn't use the Gerudo Vai set as an example for "Mandatory armor" since it's obvious you can use that as much as you want anyways.
Idea for another themed challenge run: Hylian Military. You're only allowed to use sets like the the soldier's series and knight's series. I imagine this might be an easier challenge, but it's there.
So just Soldier, Knight, Royal and Royal Guard gear ?
i like this. like sort of a, "pawn of calamity", like youre playing as the "army" in hyrule warriors(age of calamity), or youre a soldier who survived the stand at hateno fort or akkala citadel, and looking for revenge
In my opinion the Royal Guard Outfit is the best looking one so I support this run where he might have to use it

I remember that hidden weapons cache near that giant tower. That was pretty cool. There should have been more weapon/treasure/equipment outposts hidden away in Hyrule.
Challenge idea: korok only challenge
-only weapons that can be used are the forest dwellers set, korok leaves and sticks.
-the korok mask must be obtained, and be the only headgear used in the run (other than the geurudo veil)
-all Divine Beasts must be completed
-the korok forest must be accessed
-all side quests and shrine quests in korok forest must be completed
-and finally, you must help hestu get his maracas back.

My only pet peeve is that I kinda wish they had matching gear sets for the horses 😂. Like one based on each race/faction- a gerudo horse or sand seal set would be so cool
Horses can't go in the desert anyway so It doesent matter

Urbosa said that ganon was a gerudo, and something about that it would be more satisfying to defeat him herself, and she sortof tells link to use her ability.
She would be very happy with this run since her weapon was in the final blow.

She mentions in the cutscene after Naboris fires its beam at the Castle that it was written that Ganon once adopted the form of a Gerudo

I feel like a zora only or rito only run would be torture considering the weapons are rare and mediocre considering the gerudo weapons. A Goron only run would be relatively easy if you count the sledgehammers as goron weapons since they’re primarily made by and used by gorons for mining. Plus the Boulder breaker is an absolute beast of a weapon.
Wait a minute I just realized goron’s don’t have bows… nah who needs bows when you have DRILLSHAFT

The name for the horse is actually really good, because “Arbeiter” means worker in German/ its the desert temple in Twilight Princess!

Defeating an ancient evil gerudo king dressed up as a gerudo voe with only gerudo weapons and particularly with a gerudo chief's weapons ... ¡Poetic!
Fun fact you can actually skip one of the puzzles before you fight thunderblight, you need at least 2 charges of revali's gale to get over the wall, it doesn't have a roof over it so you're able to just bypass the whole thing
Amazing video! For your next challenge I'd love to see an only-zora gear video. That one should be pretty challenging since not only are zora weapons (zora spear, silverscale spear, zora sword, and zora longsword) in relatively short supply, but also the zora armor set cannot be obtained through shops and must be acquired by either beating quests (zora greaves and armor) or finding it (zora helm).

Zora: Mainly spears and all types of weapons
Gorons: Double-handed weapons + THE DRILLSHAFT
Gerudo: All types of weapons at your disposal
Rito: All types of weapons except for double-handed weapons
Koroks: Good luck killing Fireblight while constantly switching weapons and use mainly spears
Edit:
Yiga: Good luck staying naked for the entire run
Traveller/Soldier/Knight/Royal: All weapons scattered everywhere
Royal Guard: Congrats cuz you'll need a near full inventory
You get fucked with the shields for the rito, and the gorons don't have any shields at all
Parrying would be the only annoying part for the forest dweller set but I think just equipping the shield only when absolutely needed should be enough to be able to keep from losing it; one screw up though, and that's the end of it. The Korok leaf is technically a part of the set but you can knock enemies off cliffs or into the water with it or roll the bombs faster. Situational, but it has it's uses.
Rito weapons I'd give a pass for any wind based weapons being part of the set. Yeah wind cleavers are technically sheikah and a weaponized version of the korok leaf but they at least do more damage

26:14 for the comment saying Zelda is making the Divine Beasts more doable, I think its actually because Ganon is using the power of 2 ganons, thus powering up the blights.
I could imagine in death mountain those gold boots would be getting pretty soft.
realistically gold has a really high melting point so link would be pretty safe and sound in death mountain asking asking as he has those fireproof lizards :)

Golds melting point is about 1,948°F lava is usually lower than this melting point but some lava could melt all that geare

@@zyenogaming2239 they don't have shields but daruk's protection _is_ a shield and you don't need a physical one to activate it. It might be best just to go to rudania first and since the run is impossible without a shield during Ruta just pick a random one from death mountain for nabooris or using the cryonis rune (since there is no bow). Bombing the sentinels would take a long time so runes like magnesis are allowed. Otherwise you'd be breaking through all your weapons too fast trying to kill them.

How about wooden items only
Only items made of wood are allowed, anything that generates electricity from thunder is off limits. Armour is an exception and the bow of light is allowed

really cool idea for a run! the armor certainly gives an added challenge on top of playing master mode
I find it funny that you can’t use a horse in Gerudo town, but in Oot a feature of the Gerudo fortress was the horseback archery mini-game
This is the run I'm most interested with. Gerudo Armor are my favorite armor set from this game. It's really interesting too that the desert is actually really close to your starting point. I always wanted to find Impa first so it took me to tour the whole world before finally the desert.

Hi Croton! Before anything else I would like to thank you so much for the amazing content that you have been making! And Congrats with 250k! So, I would just like to note one thing, I tried to do this challenge like you did it and I noted that, in the map, there's a shrine where you said that had a Moonlight Scimitar in the treasure chest, the Dako Tah shrine, but there's also a radiant shield there! It was a surprise when I was looking for more weapons! Have a great day!

@@Star_II3S There’s barely any weapons for zora so you would have to keep waiting for a blood moon, they don’t have much attack and i’m pretty sure there’s only at least 2 silver bows and 1 of them doesn’t respawn at a blood moon

You cant beat silver or gold Lynles with bombs without spending half an hour. Not as bad as the stick only run I tried using durability transfer but still bad

I would love to see a zora themed run. Though you could also do a goron run, a hylian soldier run, a guardian run, rito run, a lynel/barbarian run, a monster only run, a korok run, a yiga run, or a farmer run. You could even do something like a boomerang only run, or a rusty weapons only, or an elemental run.
I may attempt this run. It looks fun and challenging. I'm considering doing all of his challenge runs except for the Blood moon one
With the zora being my favorite race, I would love to see an only zora gear run next

At first I thought “I mean... of course you can beat it with only gerudo weapons” but after watching I realize that the actual hunt to get the weapons was really entertaining and obviously had a lot of planning. Do you think you’ll do more of these in the future?
