I just got my first switch OLED in May of 2023, so personally I won’t upgrade for a while. But I’m going to Japan celebration so if there are exclusives there or it’s cheaper then I might think about getting it.

It definitely feels like its time considering its been out for 7 Years. But like the 3DS, They'll still support it for a couple more years. That being said though, I feel like if the launch games and power are better than the Switch and if they can fix the problems with new model(Ergonomics, Joy-con drift, frame rate drops and etc.) than I think people will be interested. Part of the problem with the Wii U was due to the lack of interesting launch titles that really showcase what the console is capable of(It launched with a 2D Mario that's just HD) as well as the confusing name and marketing. But with the Switch, I feel like they learned from that mistake and are trying to prevent history from repeating itself, Like how their still making games for the Switch, and will continue to even after the next console's launch rather than leaving us in the dark with nothing to play while we wait. Sure, most of them are remakes/ports/remasters but:
1.Their based on popular titles of old
    2. Their more faster to make than new big titles like a 3D Mario or a Mainline Kirby game
    3. For the Mario games specifically they rely on the recognition of the Mario movie since people who saw and liked it, naturally will want to play games. But since their not going to make a game based off the movie, they decided to bring back titles that parallel scenes in the movie.

i just got a limited addition Switch OLED about 3 months ago so it's gonna be a long time b4 i can afford to get the Switch 2 as much as i might want to. i can't justify spending that much again for a long time.

If it's not backwards compatible with switch games I'll stop supporting Nintendo
