Judge Elizabeth Scherer was selected at random to oversee the criminal trial and eventual penalty phase for the Parkland, Florida school shooter who killed 17 people and injured 17 more. Did u watch every minute of the trial? If u did u would know the judge wasn't even in the room! Nor was court in session. This is the problem with everything in America right now. You repeat what you HEARD from a third party source without knowing the actual basic foundation for the actual truth. Then people spread it around as fact. And that is how EveryThing gets misconstrued. People don't want to put in the time or energy to receive the information straight from the actual source, they just want to believe what someone's conclusion online was, an exaggeration. And then comment it as a fact. It's ridiculous. (I'm not here to argue about the case or the middle finger) I'm merely pointing out the facts of what's wrong with our media and our country!!

Uh? Nobody is saying that the shooter isn't wrong. But saying the judge was in the right is wrong too.
The first clip of the judge telling off the defense isn't just ridiculous, but it shows the hypocrisy of the judge. The defense was upset after the parents of some of the victims brought up the children of the defense council during victim impact statements. The defense obviously wasn't happy about that, and for the judge to get emotional and start berating the defense, then act outraged when defense brought up the idea of the judge's children being mentioned PROVES WHAT THE DEFENSE WAS SAYING.

He took it personally for being called out by the parent of one of the victims, so he decided to attack the Judge.
I also believe she was pregnant during this trial ... I could be wrong, but I believe she was.. and in that context, I completely understand why she took the defense lawyer's mention of her children so personally.

like the judge mentioned here, it was a misunderstanding due to one of the victims family having a heavy accent. so where the defender thought/felt his kids were wrongfully mentioned, turns out they were not mentioned because the word she actually said was defendant. and that's why the judge said, if his kids were brought up at any point, it must've slipped past her because she didn't hear it.

Secondly to the judge I’m a trans woman and I admire you and what gets me is how could anyone man or woman sit in a room listening to what happened to the victims loved ones and NOT give them a hug at the conclusion, when I saw that I knew this woman had empathy something I think every judge should have for both the victims and in some cases the defendant! A judge should not have a emotional or physical connection with the victims or families nor should they be as prejudical against the defence as this ex judge was.
I watched it all and it was hard , but this ex judge made it 10x harder

The moment you know how the judge feels about the defence and the state is the moment the judge has failed horribly at their job, to the point where they should 100% be removed from the bench. You are happy because it's some psycho with a bunch of evidence against him, but if it was your brother or sister or someone you care about you wouldn't be so giddy. She is unhinged and the way she is acting now - with the media tour, is even more evidence her being taking off the bench was a fantastic idea.

She ain’t unhinged. She was trying her best to deal with a group of just children who were acting behind disrespectful in a very serious situation.

SHE WAS SO WRONG. Extremely biased . We can't have biased judges in the courtroom. Not if we're going to stand on the nobility of our court room process.

She made the mistake of getting her personal "feelings & bias"! She didnt act like a dignified Judge, but rather a high school MEAN GIRL!

I love the way you handled this case! I love the nonsense you displayed. I do agree that the lawyers should’ve never been targeted, they were doing their jobs.
