No, Gayle, no one is confusing Danielle Brooks and Da'Vine Joy Randolph. They look completely different and are beautifully unique and talented in their own rights. That was a rude and reductive comment to make and it just reinforces negative stereotypes. But Da'Vine is such a pro and responded with such grace.

Everything about this film, including Ms. Randolph's performance, was truly outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend it without reservation.
She’s a true genuine woman. Always enjoyed being in class with her at Temple, she’s such an inspiration and she builds people up and cheers for them not against them.

I saw her in Ghost the musical on Broadway in 2012 on my 42nd birthday.
She played the Whoopie Goldberg role from the movie. It's awesome to see her go from Broadway to the screen.
