Sometimes I can't tell the difference between what is scripted, improvised, or an accident caught on film and just used anyhow with you guys. It's just amazing.
WOAH woah woah woah i came to this video from silksong; how the fuck do you have such a similar username??? are you my long lost brother??? ...well it would be, if youtube didn't shorten my 7's for some reason. hold on i just noticed that i promise i had 7 sevens as well though
4 days away from this being ten years old, and I still think of the "Power Lunch" line whenever I am cooking. Also that battle monopoly still sends my sides into orbit every time I watch that scene. "Nick, would you eat a demon egg?" That kills me too.
This is an absolute masterpiece. Clearly not for everyone, but this is the movie i've been looking for my whole life! Genius! I wish everyone could appreciate this awkward and mellow form of comedy. Sooo looking forward to Detective Heart of America the feature film!
Nick : The feature film is as good as Heart of America the movie. It's so good I have watched at least 6 times in a row. To the point, where my computer restarted, as to tell me to stop. But then, I go on RUclips, and replay the movie, from where it left off. Just like Nick says.. "Hey, I'm Nick."
You lot are just the absolute masters of babbling, awkward, this has gone on too long comedy. By all means this should be horrible. It's completely ad libbed, oddly paced, and just too much for its own good, but at the same time it manages to be completely amazing. I don't understand how, but this put a smile on my face for nearly 75 minutes.
A cinematic masterpiece! Such a polished, detailed and engaging representation of something as surreal as the omnipresent "Nick", is truly a praiseworthy achievement. Combine stunning visuals with strong performances from the actors, a beautifully crafted soundtrack and visionary direction, and you get a film to be remembered for centuries to come.
Jason Steele himself isn't a character and I'm absolutely terrified of his presence as a writer He was just menacingly filming this going: "Yes! I think this will be a really good movie! Alright!"
I thought that the "Detective Heart of America" movie was going to be the first FilmCow feature film, but then I discovered this glorious film! I am now completely confident that FilmCow is capable of creating a great feature film. I can't wait until they finally release the "Detective Heart of America" movie! :D
I was about halfway through this film, when suddenly, "shark town", by Robert Benfer, began to play. At first, I assumed it was part of the soundtrack, until I paused. Something was wrong. The song was still playing. Skeptical, but with a growing sense of wonderment, I clicked through my tabs to see if it was somehow playing on one of those. To my amazement, the only other tab I had open was "asdfmovie9" by Tomska, hardly the explanation I was seeking. Rather than to try to understand the situation, I simply threw myself to the winds of fate and just sat and listened to the song. Then I reloaded the page and I guess everything's normal now.
oh. my god. i watched it all, I can't even describe what it was about, but I watchedd i and it was glorious, with all of Robert'sdocumentarycenter and Nick's 'hey-im-nick'-ness. woah. this is great and deserves to be in theaters worldwide.
All of the characters in the film are opposites. Chris is histrionic, while Nick is introverted. Robert is rational and skeptical, while Jennifer is dogmatic and slightly deranged, though both are overtly obsessive in different ways; Jennifer develops an obsession with Robert that mirrors his own infatuation with Nick. Likewise, both Chris and Nick seem to hold a firm feeling of detachment towards themselves and what they are doing, though while Nick is apathetic about the events that surround him, Chris feels the need to be involved in them.
Despite opposing views, this is a fairly deep movie. It manifests Sigmund Freud's theory of the id, ego, and super ego. Nick represents the ego, embodies the common sense and rationality, and the realistic practicality. Chris embodies the id, or rather the sudden, somewhat socially insensitive impulses a person has. Robert is the super ego, embodying elements of desiring perfection (as seen in Nick), being socially conscious, and constantly battling with the id (i.e. Chris).
I would love to see more of those haunting stories. "The Borrowed Man." was the best, and the dream is the filling, with the ending being the last slice of bread.
This movie contains nothing. It merely exists, but even to say that is a paradox. Nothing that took place during this movie was ever supposed to occur in our reality, and yet the balance was preserved. After watching, I was completely empty; but I was not numb. Emotion had left me entirely, but I have now come to realize that the existence of complacency does not depend on emotion. To simply be, to not feel but to only observe... it is primordial. I would call it magnificent... or I think I would call it that. I do not know how to describe it anymore; I only know that it is. Overall, 5/10
I think Nick represents any person existing, really, and how they feel throughout every day. His personality is more than noticeably compartmentalized. He is Nick of course, but the character Nick is the rational, more introverted side of ourselves. Whereas Chris is the forgetful, extroverted, and generally less desirable part. The boss guy would be self reflection, and all the paradoxical, ultimately random thoughts that come with it. His roommate even, that Robert with regard to reason, left behind because she was too shy/would slow everything down at the interview. I think Robert represents the final conclusion we come to, despite the conflict going on inside of us. He relies more on better judgment of the world around him, which can often be forgotten. I might go as far to say Robert represents sanity too. You can see the crazy cult girl (which would have to be the insanity of life we face) follow him around, with little escaping even when the guys go to Chris's house. She seemed to bother him the most/make him the most uneasy when the conflict inside grew, such as making the special meal thing scene. At the and we find the conflicting and paradox like personality traits a necessary means of survival, contrary to even what logic and self reflection will say in the name of sanity. I could just be reading too much in to it, or doing it incorrectly, but this film certainly intrigued me from beginning to end. It kept it offbeat and calm like an everyday life, while the seemingly impossible happened. At first I didn't expect much at all, but the actors did a magnificent job setting a mood to this all and played the characters equally well. Also the long term goals part, specifically "5,000 years from now..." made my sides included in a kfc combo meal for $5.95.
Both of you are wrong, there's this israeli soda called "crystal" which is so bad that when a terrorist was found in a house with it the police actually jokingly said that he would've died from the crystal anyways.
Don't forget to ask about that one time Robert and Jason went to see Josie and the Pussycats in Socktopia after they climbed in through Jason's washing machine.
CatmanPlays Ha, even so, Nick's "thing" is usually to be the one "normal" guy surrounded by the weirdness that is FilmCow, so, though I know he's part of the crew, I _do_ like to _imagine_ that he's just some normal guy like you originally said. :)
That was worth every minute of my life. This film has moved me to a intense state of euphoria and enlightenment. I now know that no matter what my life goals are, not a shred of human accomplishment will ever amount to Nick's existence. Hi Nick.
I just want to imagine how a normal day between the Filmcow folks goes Like all of them talking seriously, never smiling, but always saying stupid, random or crazy shit no one would say in their life, ever Something like "Hey, did you clean the snakes out of my closet?" "Uh, yeah, I put them in your drawer" "Okay, thanks" ...Something like that, right?
These guys have some brilliant quality about them that I can't put my finger on. Even though most of this was improv, it's all so ingeniously crafted to perfection.
Is it just me, or does Chris seem like he's making this up as he goes along? I have a feeling like he's trying to draw attention away from Nick or something. That being said, when is this film going to be nominated for an Oscar?
The thing I love about the battle monopoly game is that while it does clearly seem wacky as a game, it's a very accurate simulation of what is like to live in the real world.
Chris and the other guy represent two opposing forces, complete randomness related to feeling and realism closely related to being negative..The fact that nick says "hey i'm nick" when he comes across an obstacles is symbolic, when you find your self its possible to overcome anything!
I did it! I watched it, I made it to the end. I laughed, I cried, and now I'm gonna kill myself, because I realised that at the very center of the universe burns a collective of self-replicating Nicks. That forever and always he will be, while I will fade away and be known for nothing. He is the beginning and end of time. He is the abundance and the entropy. He is Nick. Let us dance and sing songs in his name.
I love the stories about nick, especially that super creepy one about the borrowed man... if that doesn't have a proper creepy pasta yet, it needs to get one.
Truly a brilliant example of modern twenty-first century film. The subtle nuance of Nick's tone really sets this piece apart from other works within the genre of coming-of-age
older filmcow vids, like the ones with robert, are so cold and empty, i love watching them alone. it gives me a strange feeling
Sometimes I can't tell the difference between what is scripted, improvised, or an accident caught on film and just used anyhow with you guys. It's just amazing.

i promise i had 7 sevens as well though
dammit, youtube isn't letting me
fine i'll have my 4 sevens, at least it's something
I remember when Robert Benfer followed me around all day. I didn't get a movie, though, just severe paranoia.
Lucky!
I think Roberts getting the same feeling from that woman
I feel like every time I watch this there are like 3 scenes that weren't there the last time I watched it
Best comment 😂
I love how Robert is polite to Nick but absolutely horrible to everybody else.
To be fair a lot of people he meets are kinda crappy
That's our Robert!

I wonder why they are too lazy to shoot these films as good as their animations, they have the skills if they wanted to
@@damiengates7581 do you realize how exspensive it is to make films

why do i feel as if i HAVE to keep watching
This movie keeps making its way back into my life. It's spooky, truly. I keep coming back to it
This is possibly the best movie I've ever seen

The Borrowed Man story is the best part.
I was looking for it on the youtube and i couldn't find it turns out its in the feature film
I agree
I want to have Nick, he's just so majestic.

Did you just analyze the narrative of Nick: the feature film?
Raddder And Robert is a bit normal, which was unexpected
Raddder Also, the conflict grows as more players enter. Robert's voyeurism is ruined by Chris and Jennifer.
Yep
Beautiful Analysis
This was not just a film about Nick this was pure elegant art at its absolute finest
nick is love, nick is life
I want to please Nick.
then give him a nickle
One of the most powerful endings in all of cinema
HAHAHAHA
Because of this video, i am at times tempted to say "hey i'm Nick" in important/tense situations.

I've watched this like a million times. There needs to be another movie with Chris. NEEED it.
I've watched this like 50 times.
Nick is the nickiest person ever to exist, and because of that, he's special.
I lost it at the octagon bit, how Nick is just watching this all go by.
... Did I just watch the full thing?
Idk did you

Why is Filmcow so obsessed with Josie and the Pussycats? The dinosaur wanted to watch that, too. And drink Sierra Mist.

I love how Robert suddenly becomes the most reasonable person in the room when that cult lady shows up 😂
The filmcow crew just bust up in Nick's house and just confused the shit out of this normal nick guy. I love this i can't stop watching this.

I clicked on this thinking it was the reasonably funny trailer.
I somehow went two months without realizing this had been uploaded.
4 years later and this is still the greatest film i've ever watched.

That was worth every minute of my life. This film has moved me to a intense state of euphoria and enlightenment. I now know that no matter what my life goals are, not a shred of human accomplishment will ever amount to Nick's existence.
Hi Nick.
I just finished the whole thing and I think this is my new favorite RUclips-only documentary.
I can quote every single line in this movie from memory.
I just want to imagine how a normal day between the Filmcow folks goes
Like all of them talking seriously, never smiling, but always saying stupid, random or crazy shit no one would say in their life, ever

+Irondrone4 I kind of felt like that was an intentional part of his character: trying to draw attention to himself.

To make sure this was a legit thing I randomly slid the time thing about half way through the video. I landed at 37:58. You can imagine my confusion.
I really hate how the RUclips monetization changes forced Jason to cut the Filmcow crew.
I wish someone(anyone) would take this much interest in me and my boring yet overly dramatic life
They do not suck that music and Robert playing the chest piano sounded awesome!
The beginning had me thinking this was going to be an ordinary documentary. Then the FilmCow kicked in, and I loved every minute.
Nick is love, Nick is life
Up at 4AM watching this.. totally worth it
I just watched an hour long video of Nick. I have been staring at Nick constantly, and I can't remember what color his eyes are.
Out of everything in this beautiful cinematic Masterpiece...
I, for a moment, misread Muffin Face as Muffin Force.
Muffin Force sounds delicious.
The insertion of Chris is so genius because he’s so clearly acting, it makes you question the rest of the film.
Chris and the other guy represent two opposing forces, complete randomness related to feeling and realism closely related to being negative..The fact that nick says "hey i'm nick" when he comes across an obstacles is symbolic, when you find your self its possible to overcome anything!
I bought the DVD many years ago and always watched it when I took a bath. :)
Something to remember him by now that Nick is lost in Cyberspace
I revisit this video every now and again and it warms my heart
I did it! I watched it, I made it to the end. I laughed, I cried, and now I'm gonna kill myself, because I realised that at the very center of the universe burns a collective of self-replicating Nicks. The second Chris entered I knew this movie would cease to be about Nick.
I just realized that Chris asked questions similar to the ones in the actual interview.
"You went to Misterrrrrr Washington." .... you mean *Mt. Washington.* ...well yeah.
I love the stories about nick, especially that super creepy one about the borrowed man... if that doesn't have a proper creepy pasta yet, it needs to get one.

this should have been called NICK: The Badass We All Could Be
I have an English SAC tomorrow and haven't started studying... I watched the whole thing.
Nick's life is so interesting. Plus it is so cool that his friends are not mainstream.
I am here from Cricket! On TikTok he told me to watch this
I cannot believe I just watched this in its entirety. Beauty.
I love the use of that Maria song that is also in the batman. Makes me think of the riddler
So did the tutor get sacrificed to Jennifer's Octopus God?
Truly a brilliant example of modern twenty-first century film. The subtle nuance of Nick's tone really sets this piece apart from other works within the genre of coming-of-age
This is just pure molten genius.
What the hell was that? Why did I watch the whole thing? Why was it entertaining?
Some questions shall never be answered
I'm not saying Nick is a god. But Nick is probably a god
