Thanks for the review! I just used Addictive Trigger to replace a complicated snare drum where the drummer played with the snares turned off. The client wanted a traditional snare drum sound instead. The part was very busy with tons of rolls and ghost notes. I was using the demo version and this was the first thing I tried it on. It worked fantastically well and I now own the plugin.

Good vid, also your time alignment one after this.
Getting the trigger sound to blend with overheads (which have the natural tone) is another topic...

Surprised you didn't show the superstart feature which is one of the best things about this plugin. The audio fingerprint allows addictive trigger to work at lower threshold settings and still pick up low dynamics while rejecting bleed

Awesome video! I gotta check out that trigger plugin now. Quick question, did you setup a quick command for creating a new audio track? Or is there one by default? I usually am using shift+cmd+n (like in pro tools) but it usually pops up the track window first

Will this work on a stereo pair rather than on separate close-mic'ed tracks?

They had one called Biden but it didn't make any sense, often sputtered, and was frequently found to be controlled by other sounds. So, it was shelved.

What about phase issues? Does Addictive trigger automatically correct phase issue? I didn't hear any mention of phase. Thanks 4ur prompt response

Very useful tutorial. Bug honestly I prefer SPL Drumxchanger which I found more easy and less complicate to select which sound we need.

PLEASE! I´m new to drum replacement. I don´t understand in which way to open Addictive. On the same track as, say, the kick as a regular plugin or how do I do it?

I will never record a real drummer, what for? Look at what you have to do later to solve all those bad sounding recordings, why wasting the time in recording a drummer if from the beginning you have the best options to get drum tracks sounding at its best using Addictive Drums and others? That is why Trigger is not an option if we plan it good from the beginning. I use Addictive Drums 2 and as I always say, better than this, no one can play it better and no studio will capture a better sound as what is already inside Addictive drums and others, it does not matter how good the microphones are and how good a studio is; recording a drummer will be always worse than these Drum VSTi can do…..anyways, thank you for your effort and video, greetings from Germany, Alfredo
