Thank you for sharing this amazing artist with us all. Was not familiar with him, but now a fan…his work is amazing! His handling of the back lighted hair made me gasp! One to watch more than once. You bring to us these wonderful videos that are so well done, informative but not laborious! Merci beaucoup!!
I urge you all to visit the Chicago art museum, they have the painting of lotus flowers in the beginning of the video. After seeing Homer, beaux, sargent in the next room, the lotus painting stood out the most to me.
Amazing light in these paintings. I especially loved the backlit subjects, not a simple situation to master. I also enjoyed the brief comments on the use of grays. Most painters talk about color, or the lack there of, in paintings and light, trying to capture that color or this color in that particular light. But, truth to tell, our world is mostly filled with grays and gray has an infinite amount of color and variation. It might be an interesting subject to explore in another video. Thanks as always to another insightful look into another artist of light. Bravo!
I really enjoy these videos-they’re fantastic! It would be wonderful to see more women artists featured on the channel. I haven’t seen any so far, and there are so many incredible women masters to discover and appreciate. Thank you for considering this!
I have to say that it is so easy to leave a like after seeing these so well done presentations. Thanks so much
