Wonderful work. Especially love the expressive brushwork in the fields/grass/hay/ The figure drawing is spot on, of course, but the animal anatomy is amazing as well. I'm guessing he worked from life, but chickens and geese don't sit still very long, waiting for an artist to finish. ;-) Figure drawings were shown in this video, I wonder if there are some animal studies to view as well? Perhaps next time? Thanks again for a wonderful tour of another great painter.
