Hi, I would suggest if you have kitchen scale then use the measurement in gram. Cup measurement is for those who don't have kitchen scale at home. FYI, do not compact the flour if use cup measurement. The recipe is correct dear, the dough should be thick and sticky consistency.

For this recipe u can’t use baking soda! Because the recipe uses yeast hence u wait 40min for proofing like bread making. You can use baking soda for baking banana bread but u’ll need to bake it fairly quickly, also u can’t mix as much like she did in this recipe either because the gluten that has been activated with mixing won’t have a chance to relax. So basically go a find a another recipe which uses baking soda if you want to use it otherwise stick to yeast if u want to use this recipe!
