I genuinely love tournament arcs in shounen manga and anime, it's a great way to showcase the how the power system works and different character archetypes and I love how you make every character unique!! I'm very excited to see how yours turns out!
Ngl It is a overused troupe, and yes u can copy troupes and be good at it, give it ur own spin, but they mainly seem to do the same thing 🤷♂️ hunter hunter had how many tournaments 2-3🤔 db overused it, bleach woah bleach hasn’t had one 👏👏👏

Designing my own characters is always tough. Sometimes Ill even have to just lay on the floor and like picture what they would look like and what their vibe is. I have to always think… “If i were to see this character, would I want to make fanart of them…?”
I love tournament arcs Just try not to fail your suporting cast like naruto failed konoha 13. If you dont want to use them later just kill them off. Dont let them become background zombies.
