I like to see mangaka’s storyboarding! That’s why when I make my own comic, I wanna do live streams of me drawing, so I can interact with my fans that like the same!
Why use Japanese word(which is weird to romanized) when there is a English word to describe the profession, which is called "Cartoonist", also manga is literally mean comic in English.
For a one man army, you definitely put in a lot of effort to produce such spectacular work and you're video definitely proves it all, plus it's helpful as well. Well done, sir👏👏
I am a creative writing minor just graduated college and my friend is an artist and we’re beginning to write our first manga style comic with the extra time on our hands. I had a question for you and that is with all the writing, storyboarding and drawing how to you efficiently get it done as fast as possible with a chapter/volume you are satisfied with in order to meet deadlines? When do you decide “this is how this chapter is gonna go” and keep it in the context of the overarching story you want to tell?
Common Animations we had to put it on hold due to covid and life situations but I greatly appreciate that! We’ll get back on it when we can find so normalcy
Man this was so helpful, i love watching creators thought process and this was so explanatory it helped me understand why exactly things look the way they do in comics.
I use a small hard bound sketchbook for the script, dialogue, and storyboards for my comic because I figured that it would be easier for me and I use a large hard bound sketchbook to draw the actual pages.
Super helpful to watch! Bouncing between learning storyboarding and getting back into comics by small increments, and watching these kinds of videos always help me along. :)
I love it when you do storyboards tutorial The Adam and Eve storyboard is one of my favourite videos I watched that video so many times you are a great artist and I am inspired by you Keep it up
Thanks for these videos, will continue supporting. Still would love to see a Clip Studio screen tone dark skin video again to avoid those black dots from showing up on them.
I have so much work ahead if I want to tell all the stories that have been floating around in my head all these years... But I feel like I'm finally ready to tackle it seriously. I just have to finish writing everything...
This video was super helpful and inspiring. I didn't think of doing storyboarding with nothing in them just to test the panel arrangement. I also have a better understanding and appreciation for translating scripts as well from watching this. Going to rewatch and take notes this weekend 😂
Im so glad i came across you! Your videos so far are helping me a little on figuring out how to create and put together a comic. Right now i'm creating my story for my comic! I always wanted to become an author since i was little, but recently I thought a comic would be beautiful! Im hoping my dreams will come true with taking notes from your videos and other creators. :))
I'm a completely different type of artist (vis dev environments for films/ games) but I loved this video. It's fascinating to see how other artists work. Congrats on all your success & who knows, maybe I'll do environment design on a film option of one of yr mangas one day! xo
i storyboard with full sized sketch paper that has the guides that most comic paper has. it's from a manga sketchbook. and i do it so i know the scale of what i want, and can be as exact with important details as i want, while still being loose and sketched out.
My storyboards are so vague cause im the only one who works on it, mad respect to those who just have the time to do a whole ass story board. I want my stuff to be done in 9-14 days and I cant when my storyboards are far too detailes, I jist do rough outline drafts with little detail and add what I think is needed at that time. Both hve their benefits and down sides, but yours is fantastic
Awesome vid, I was hoping you'd do a video on how to differentiate older and younger characters facially, like in a drawing, I'm not to sure where the lines go
This was a very good video whyt . Very informative storyboards are the slowest part in the process for me . Am just a year into making comics though so maybe thats why . Hope you do a video on speed lines . I really want to learn as much as possible on those .
lol... The current books available are the remastered versions with the additional chapters and pages to them. chapter 1.1 & 1.2 after chapter 1. And then... fixed art, grammar. Improved art, dialogue and explanations and additional pages in a few chapters here and there throughout both volumes.
Hey Whyt manga, I have learned almost everything I know about drawing and and making manga from you. And I know I still have a long way to go but I just wanted to say thankssss!!!!! And apple black is really underrated
Good video WhytManga! I can’t wait for your next video. I want to get better with manga storyboards, but I’m not good with it. Thanks for the advice for storyboard to script! 😁👍🏾
Theses are awesome tips I realize my panels have a lot of headshot I need to switch up panels. I just not good at coming up with interesting panels layout but I’m try out your tips. I’m in the storyboard pages right now
I jus got finished from watching the video and it would be helpful if u were to show us how u write your stories and what processes you go through and etc
IMPORTANT QUESTION! Ight so I buy DELETER paper and draw my panels, I scanned them in (Due to watching your other video) but what about the size? My paper isn’t the same size for my printing company. I’m trying to work with an average Manga size so do I resize the page? What about the bleed when I resize it? Please respond!
@@Nopeasaurus yeah i guess so. it kinda hard at times to get the dialogue just right. Maybe in the update version he edited the dialogue in this part to make it more natural sounding. i have the old volume one so i don't know for sure
Was really planning on being a comic artist for the future and this was just the thing I needed to get started on that, great video man 👍 Keep up the amazing work as always. 👌
Hi first of all I'd like to say I love your videos I'm new to the channel and plan on reading your manga as soon as I get the chance. I'm very interested in learning to draw and am a true beginner in all of this. I've recently been working on a story and wanted to suggest a possible video I'd love to hear your input on. The video would be about your writing process. I seem to notice different ways of doing things. There are instances like Dragonball for example i'd read that the story was supposed to end after the first wish but then it evolved into something much bigger. Where as in one piece it seems that the whole big picture is completely laid out and being worked on section by section. So my question for you would be you're thoughts on this. Whether you work forward or backwards. How you may take a simple idea and evolve it into something bigger which is something I'm currently trying to figure out myself. Just some thoughts again thanks for the videos I find them very helpful and look forward to many more great ones. Thanks!
Hey dude, i have a question. Can you publish your manga/comic through traditionally hand-drawn, The reason here is that I don't have a digital tablet nor afford one. i have made a few chapters by hand drawing. And I am hoping I can be able to publish my work through traditional hand-drawn way
I love watching your videos! In fact I began to make my own comic/manga, but in terrible at making backgrounds and landscape. Is there a good way of making them or something of the sort?
Hey bro! So I’ve been working on mine and I’m about 26 pages in. I was wondering whenever you storyboard do you tend to storyboard just a few pages at a time? How do you decide the amount of drafting you do before you finalize the inking and script ? I’ve noticed whenever I do a set amount, like 6 or so, after I do it it feels as if I should have boarded more. In your experience how many do you tend to do before moving to more storyboarding? I hope this makes sense!
(Off topic question) How exactly did you learn to draw anatomy? Was their a specific video you watched, or a specific book you read? Oh yea and Great video I really needed this.
One of my longer videos...
Perfect I love long durations on your vids more info to absorb!!
It's really good though
How much time takes you to make a chapter?
Hey! Can you make a tutorial of how to make comic/manga from written text to script then to storyboard? I have major difficulty. ;;
Please where can i read your manga !?

Whytmanga, please do a tutorial about perspective
This video is a HUGE help in explaining the thoughts that go into choosing a page layout. It's been surprisingly hard to find info on that. Thanks!!!

@@LegendaryMoho as long as you resize it proportionally, the ratios should stay the same as far as I know
