I'm WAY happier now- to be a boring, cookie-baking, church lady now, with amazing, stable, successful grown kids & beautiful grandchildren. I wouldn't go back for ANYTHING. But this music has me to where I can almost smell the cig smoke & taste the cranberry vodkas & the sound of the music, & smile of my main dance partner. 💃

“How to wreck your hair “
Its just hair going in and out, in and out until it forms a full loc, but i do not recommend mat locs because of how hard it is to comb out.
"how to show people how ignorant you are". You obviously don't know that flat ironing, haïr colouring and most of the things you people do dammage your hair🤦🏿♀️. Ponytails aren't good for your hair and yet you still do it
It's not a wreck if it's your culture

@@SynterraSteen ur gorgeous girl!! just wanted to remind u💗

Not really. No one who is going through this process will comb it out anytime soon. It's permanent. You can shave it off when done with it.
@@Wakilonzo it is
Don’t know why they would think this is good for their texture type hair. Looks terrible. Everything ain’t for everyone. Learn.
Doesn't look terrible on everyone tho, for some people with this hair texture it really suits them
They liked it enough to get it, there’s nothing to learn.
Facts @SG and I agree this looks TERRIBLE.
Agreed!
Learn? Cool. White people had dreads back in the day. The Celts had them and they were called farey locks. You learn yet?
"How to destroy your hair"
@@bluebear4493 So it's only destroying it if I don't know the backstory?
Cuz they white ? Wtf 💀
This is called backcombing. Not too many hair types can take it..but it can be combed right back out. Just takes time
Not really, its just hair goin in and out, in and out until it forms a loc, doesnt harm your hair, its hard to comb out, if you want to get this type of dread removed to get back to your normal hair, you should probably just shave it all off cause it will take hours.
@shawty yes I can. I just did.
How moronic of you.
That's actually not only cool but the way they make dread locks that's s amazing

Whats so amazing about matting the hair???
I went to all black schools in elementary and middle and I miss my friends always wanting to mess with my hair. They would braid and twist and brush. I would just be in heaven. ☁️

WOW! These are the cleanest dreads on straight hair I’ve seen! I actually love this!!!!
Me looking at this travesty👀☕
Same here😂 I got my hair tie tangled for 5 min shittt hurt. I can imagine this.

This was actually a well done head of locs for their hair type. With proper maintenance these can be indistinguishing from locs on textured hair.

If that man wants dreadlocks and this is how he can get it more power to him. I’m just curious how long that took!
Or how much it cost... lol
I’m getting anxiety watching this
I dont know why but this was like ASMR to me. I watched it three times. Great work…. Artistically done!
I am just gonna say this as a "straight haired" person we can get dreads naturally. I actually struggle with them everyday on the nape of my neck and back of my head and my fam used to keep my hair short because the struggle is real. Just cause your hair is straight doesn't mean it's silky
Those are tangles and mats, not locs. Locks form due to kinky/curly texture.
That's your "kitchen" & it's just nappy. Locks & dreads are purposefully formed. All the people saying you can get them "naturally" by just not washing or brushing their hair sound crazy AF...That's just dirty, nappy hair, & that's just plain nasty 😂
@@Myhomeeating no you get them more when your hair is clean. Yeah people can get a congo from non washed but it's when you wash your hair you struggle with them. Noodles without butter stick together lol specially if you have coarse hair. But whatever
Your dreads are not like mine, definitely don’t look like mine, and have a negative connotation to it sorry but nobody wants their hard working locs to identify with some stringy matty hair that’s looks nasty by how your describing it.
I've never heard this song before (that I remember of, anyway)
It is MESMERIZING! Taking me back to the mid- 1990's when my regular group & I would all go to the club & dance. We were a big group with an equal-ish number of Men & Women , so there was ALWAYS someone to dance with.
The chorus is from "solitude" by the fat rat ft. Slaydit. Not sure where the instrumentals are from
Yeah that teasing is alot of work.
I just knew the comment section was going to be a mess, the hairstyle looks fire to me

Am with u..lol...was wondering the same
WHYYY?
It’s hard enough for me to comb through the hair without using conditioner first and now some people do this. Is it fun to have your hair ripped out of its root?
The point of locs is to not comb it...
@@KnightofAntiquity those aren’t locs it’s just matted hair
@@lindseytchappi1329 Mature locs are just that, matted hair....There is no meaningful difference unless your locs are new and still in the coil stage when the style is still reversible.

Not all do. Some braid the hair and let it be. There have been a few who combed them out and retain length. This is just damage, especially if they continue to maintain it in thid fashion. Can't comd that out.

That was my point they over here talking to this woman of color like she don’t know about hair and black hair, if she didn’t wanna dread this man’s hair because she doesn’t believe people with straight hair should have dreads she wouldn’t have.
I would NEVER want this done to my hair.
Absolutely amazing technique to make dreads, love it
You have to damage the hair in order to lock it it's not meant to be
Facts!
I think he's just trying to give it the same texture as hair typically used for that style
That looks amazing.
Can you say “see ya!” to this person’s entire head of hair after this?! There’s no way this disaster will be able to be salvaged.
It's just hair. I shaved my head 2 years ago and its longer than it ever was now. Nothing wrong with trying new things and when you're tired try something new. I found out I loved the low cut with some designs cut into it and ny hair is naturally curly so shorter hair is much easier to manage and keep conditioned so your curls pop. I love it long now. Might want it shaved on one side and long on the other side tomorrow.
The point of locs is the commitment. You don’t get these and then take them out. Your with them for life until you cut them or spend days tediously combing them out (not a popular choice)

These are *instant* dread locks on straight hair, not that you’d have to do this to get dreads in straight hair. All hair types and textures dread naturally over time and there’s safer more patient ways to do this to straight hair.
