    I’m laughing at the fact that they made the gates taller but totally forgot about the tiny fence next to it that people just use instead.

    How did fare evasion change when Metro abolished paper magnetic strip fare cards and set a minimum price of $10 for SmarTrip cards?

    Interesting how ALL the people jumping the fences and gates appear to be the same demographic

      What is that demographic exactly?

    • @zekeigtos7240
      @zekeigtos7240 8 месяцев назад

      The same demographic which inhabits all of southeast DC and makes it so dangerous that a person cannot even stop their car at a red light without a high risk of being car jacked or killed. I actually never use the bridge down by RFK stadium since the area is incredibly dangerous and there are constant carjackings and murders@@ronaldrotich78

      Brilliant idea. So when "them gates" get broken, the perpetrators will be cited for destruction of property AND theft of services. Not to mention the sheer embarrassment of everyone seeing how much of a loser they are when committing that crime. They can regale of those tales of glory while wearing their orange jumpsuits in prison.

    I KNOW D.C. has the money to make the Metro FREE for EVERYONE.

      There has to be a middle ground. If its free, the homeless will come there and ruin it. However it still has to be affordable for normal individuals.

      @@roninecostar The city needs to own up and take care of its homeless population. Convert unused office buildings into residential. Once there is housing for everyone, THEN we can really enforce laws against loitering/camping in public without cruelty. Everybody wins when the government actually DOES something for its people.

      @@sullen2420 Or just do what some agencies did and give out free passes to those who need it.
      That way it won’t become a free for all and it’s still free for those who need it to be. Requiring some sort of pass or card really does help out a lot with trespassers.
