Metro riders put new higher and stronger faregates that were designed to help the transit agency stop people from getting on trains without paying to the test Tuesday.

The tops and bottoms of the Green and Red line are nothing less than havens for criminals. They are not going to care about these new gates and will either jump over, push through, or shoot out the glass.

My school is near Wheaton so I take the bus to and from the metro to get there and I can confirm. The entire gate line at Wheaton is like 5 feet tall and I’ve seen people spend multiple minutes attempting to scale them

And of course fare enforcement is only there at rush hour when there are fewer evaders

DJ100 (WDJY 100.3 FM) was the station back in 1984, the station House was right there!
