It all depends but the smaller parts will have his hair real full while larger parts will have his hair not as full but thicker. It all depends on what you going for
Either way they will eventually lock. With the twist out it will be more freedom without defined boxes. Some people care about the box parting and some do not
I'm learning, I've been doing 2 strand twists on my sons and when we take them down it's torture! HOW can you/ do you take down a LOC? or do you? Just thinking about it makes me fearful. My baby is so tender headed. 😢
Great question ✨If he’s getting locs they stay in and the only thing he needs to get is a retwist or interlocking…….regular two strand twist should be easy to come out especially if you don’t leave them in for longer than 6 weeks. It all depends on you some people start with two strand twist when their hair is short as 2 inches and some wait till they hair is between 4-6 inches because some like the longer length.

@ayooitsnova6968 You can either retwist or continue the interlocking process every 6 weeks. This is to keep each loc uniform. It’s not the interlocking or the retwist that causes your hair to loc is time and your hair matting together. I hope this helps answer your question.

You just make your parts smaller

Everytime you want to refresh them do you still do the same method or just twisting
You can either continue with interlocking or retwisting (comb coil) it’s totally up to that individual

It should come unraveled because I usually wait about 4-6 weeks to wash that way it’s stated to mat some.

You can if you only leaving it in for a short time about 2 weeks
What’s the need to interlock the roots?
It’s so much security especially if you work out a lot or sports. It don’t come unraveled like a retwist sometimes does.
