Because of this video alone, I saved my money and flew from Arizona over to Illinois JUST to go to this arcade. It was honestly one of the best experiences of my life. I was born too late to be able to experience what an arcade was ever like, and coming here for my first arcade just filled my heart with joy, playing every game that I had missed due to my age.
Jorge Castro come back they have 700 arcades bro
I’ve booked to go from London in November but I don’t think it will be allowed
az gang
@@GWJUK that's sad dude.
ChuckLOS sure is pal, I was really looking forward to it. Hopefully in 2021. We don’t have any places like this in the UK
No way! $15 for a full day of Arcade Play??? This is my NeverLand.
I have 883 GB of arcade games on my razer blade (Killer instinct 2013, Guilty gear Xrd, Ultra Street Fighter IV), So if you need to play anything you want you're welcomed to my house, just plug it on my samsung 50inch Screen & the're you go ^_^
Razer Jack how the..... KI 2013 is not on PC!!?
Arcade emulation is on a new level now buddy, i got the game from an arcade that one of my family member's own, but it's an exclusive iso , you can't just copy & paste it.
Razer Jack
I found the ISO with a Google search in about 2 seconds
Shawn Meilicke How the........?!
This is a major dream for arcade goers.
My thoughts exactly
Kokimoto Sundial Yep. I miss going to arcades because I can have so much fun playing that it's nuts.
Jacob Bennett Same here. Except I had arcades in the bronx years back. Good times.
An Arcade Outer Heaven
I just miss the competitive aspect of arcades, I wanted to win not only to beat you but to stay on the machine. I used to hate losing and having to wait in line just to play again.
Arcade gaming should never die. It meant so much to those that experienced it (myself included) and should be passed along for generations to come. There's something about standing at a machine, speakers blaring, monitor glowing, buttons pushed, joysticks waggled. That feeling of just one more go. Nothing beats it.
Just went again yesterday. it's awesome now because he bought the building next door and is expanding. Which is necessary cause the arcade is now filled to the brim.
Its even more packed now man
Now they have pinball too!
@@xdyourmom1953 glad to know its still thriving
Galloping Ghost needs to become a chain
every single cabinet in that arcade is not just a game its a huge piece of history and it deserves your repsect.
Beautiful.
And big respect to the owner for buying and keeping these machines alive.
I can vouch for Doc Mack. He is pretty much the nicest, most passionate arcade guy you ever meet in the video gaming community.
Almost 3 years later, and this arcade has expanded 3 times, and there are now 570 games in the place. It's a must to go to this place!
Gendo FM That's great. Me and my friends would love this.
800 plus games now
@@enjoyitbro981 now
i found my vacation spot. DESTINATION CONFIRMED!
Good choice, Chicago is really nice, specially in the summer, there's lots of things to do here, and if you like beer and arcade machines there's lots of them in the city.
mercy Rivera and getting shot up.
^ ignore this guy, the actual shootings only happen in the ghetto neighborhoods towards the south, where this place is not.
eros v I happen to live and Chicago, and shootings only happen in a small part of the city, there's worst cities in America than Chicago, Chicago is really nice actually.
eros v Why are you such an uneducated, ignorant sack of shit?
Arcades needs to come back. Sadly, it won't. Kids today love to talk shit in there house safe. Back then, the guy was right next to you. And they don't want that. Arcades taught me a lession. Put up or shut up. Kids need to learn that.
Dude I would rejoice in having the ability to punch a shit talkers lights out.
Lol! For real. All this disrespect and racial slurs wouldn't happen back then. If it did, you had to pay for your actions. Arcades was the ultimate "put your money were your mouth is." Plus, you can learn from others or watch that one guy just dominate others and get tips and converse with others that have the same love for the game. But no. Kids would rather hide and talk shit and disconnect.
ok boomer
@@thomasjeff2882 ok boomer. You clearly do all of those things yourself. Live in your own fantasy land.
Shit man! In the phillipines there's no place like that, I've been lookinf everywhere! There are malls here but i gotta tell ya, Its just a heap of junk, most of the arcades here are broken and of course they wont even bother fixing it. But yea man having that kind of place here in the phillipines? Its gonna be fantastic, its a 50/50 though, kids here are damn strong breaking things like that, they dont even care.
Just because you're in Chicago and going to an arcade Max, doesn't mean you gotta show up inside looking like a drug dealer from the 1980s. Also, why'd you dodge the Primal Rage 2 machine to make a cocaine deal in the back with the arcade owner you Miami Vice looking bastard? :(
Pimp Master Broda (Voice Trolling) LOLOLOL
Pimp Master Broda Hahaha! This comment is better than the video itself.
When Max was describing the arcade experience, I almost cried. Whenever I'm in Chicago in definitely going here and playing every single game. I will do it. Mark these words that Razerhd will play every game in that building.
GG is up to 565 games! The beauty is every game works, the joysticks work, the buttons work...the owner is the absolute BEST.
Now up to over 800
They're the only arcade in the world that actually has a working Primal Rage 2 cabinet! Sheer brilliance.
I almost want to start crying because of how incredible this place looks. They have every fighting game I've ever loved ever, and more. And they have FREAKING CAPCOM VS. SNK. I've never ever seen that arcade machine anywhere!! Nor have I ever seen the original Street Fighter! I must visit this place now.
Dear lord... this seems so beautiful... and reminds me of my childhood spending entire days on the arcade...
And btw... 15 bucks for a whole day of ARCADE EXPERIENCE? Geez that sounds both fabulous and generous, it's obvious the owner is both an awesome guy and a videogames lover.
Thank You Max, for showing me where this great arcade game is, im going there tonight
Watching this in 2021👍
As somebody who grew up playing arcades in the '80s & '90s, places like this are a Godsend and I never fail to feel like I've magically transformed back into a little kid or teenager everytime I set foot inside one of my hometown's 2 local arcades😃
God willing that this pandemic ends sooner rather than later because once its finally safe to travel again, I'm going to make plans to visit this particular arcade🤞🙏🤞
One of the best things about living in the Chicago area is knowing that this place exists. I love this place!
I was in the US last year. Spent an evening at GGA and the venue did -not- disappoint! Max mentioning the Chicago Deep Dish got me all nostalgic to something that wasn't all too long ago, cause I also had that before going to GGA.
Man, Max, thanks for this video. Not only are you informing people of this amazing place, but your video also allows me to relive memories of one of the best international trips of my life.
Love from Sweden!
who else cried a little after watching this?
Just a little, dude...lol
I cried for an hour. Being European feelsbadman.
Watching this and tearing up. Born in 98 but my entire childhood was in dying arcades. I miss it too much.
Keep making videos like this, not only is it good to watch, but you'll promote the arcades you visit and maybe even cause a full-bore arcade revival one day.
Galloping Ghost is legendary. Probably the most legendary commercially run arcade still in existence.
What makes this place better than any other arcades, even sega akihabara is that they own unreleased prototypes and also rarest ones like gain ground, ninja baseball Batman, and even trog prototype
@@Kourumeme Don't forget. Primal Rage 2. Only two known prototype boards exist and GG has one of them running.
@@Darxide23 and beavis and butthead arcade game. Also I can predict that they could get an old space shooter from Spain called the end of times (which was a lost arcade game at the time until someone brought it to be repaired but the owner had no clue what it was when owning it). It’s held In Spain
15 dollar per entrance, eh? For something like that, it seems way to generous!
Can you play as much as you want?!! Awsome!!!
$15 at the door and every game is set to free to play. Also if you leave, you can come back if you have the receipt.
that;s actully the best way to "market old stuff' or "to make people come to you", mostly people if they wana play arcade they`ll go to Streetfighter or so on, but once u pay the 15$ and go in u wont just play SF and u`ll play many games = encourages you to come back, i`ll do same thing with my cybercafe to make maximum profit from "each pc being used" which is "pay this ammount of money and PC is all yours for 1day thats it or 12hours/24hours", its a brilliant idea .
Abdullah al-asousi they have one of thosehere in Fresno California you pay 20$ you get 24 hours and say you leave and they take your picture they mark how long you played and hold your place and after that its however many dollars you pay you get that many hours and they save them in that book
dude its for real. This is in my town.
Thanks for introducing me to this place! I just visited and this was heaven on earth!
Im happy that this place is in my city and im able to experience it myself
lucky dog! omg
I want to to be you! xD
About to go GG next Saturday. While people putting all their focus on our stereotype of our city, I'll be hitting the cabinets lol.
You got to go back max!!!!! I go every 2 weeks or so and they have expanded up to 3x more
I'd love to visit this place this is just epic.
Thats real multiplayer! Besides, no one says bullshit to one another in an arcade, while on the internet there are a lot of keyboard warriors.
Der Vogel so true, can't get better than this
No. There's still BS.
Der Vogel lmao, you guys were either to nice or to afraid of each other. my arcades use to be a fight ring, people will shut your game trash talk, fist fights, choke holds, alcohol. there was no time for the weaks, (well maybe 9am-4pm) aftwr that it was a casino, a bar, a ring. everything.
every launch of a new game there was always something crazy going on... then they got closed.... and it was never the same...
There was good and bad at arcades. There was drug deals regularly from young people in junior high or high school and old people showing up. There was swearing. Some arcade operators got rid of machines because of fights.
Other times people were really nice and showed you how to play or you could switch rounds with each other.
SyncroScales drinking and smoking, we got some cases of prostitution aswell, but we got rid of most of them. people dont know how strong they are till they decide to move, and im not talking about fighting with our fist, just making a point. and it wasnt the "owner" of the business who did it. it was us the players, we always cused each other slam the machine, yelled, some even shut the machines when they were pissed, and yes we did have fights aswell, but when it got darker and shadier we did a move.
I'm happy to see arcades are still alive and well. I'm still hoping they will come back into popularity. People still go out to the movies, why not go out the arcades too?
Hey Max, I'm glad to see that got this video up and going, I've met you while you were at GGA (I was the Sadira player in KI and also holding multiple world records in the classic fighting games. And we had a photo together each repping the Blue Bomber Mega Man). I'm glad that you had a really great time there and I hope you come back here at some point.
God... I missed these days... If I had a load of money, I'd dedicate some of it to preserve arcades like this by opening up my own. As far as I know, arcades here are totally gone except for bar-cades. Tilt and Fun Factory were the last two great places but they've gone down hill after consoles took the main stage.
I'd do the same if I were pretty wealthy as well! :)
I'm honestly glad that you managed to take a trip there, that is definitely one of me n my brothers' favorite places to visit. To know that singer's from out of state took the time to visit and appreciated it for what it's worth excites me. Hopefully next time you're in the Chi I'll catch you there
Absolutely awesome, I wish I can go there someday.
Galloping Ghost Arcade is one of my many Arcades to go to!
Thanks Max, you have rekindled my desire to go to Chicago!
I think the arcade scene is big here because of Midway studios, they left such a big impact on this city.
Midway had an assembly plant here in Chicago for their arcade machines
theSomeguyatwork they sure did, my friend used to build circuit boards for them.
My high school used to be walking distance from their offices. Is Netherrealm Studios still in the city?
no thanks did you go to Gordon tech or lane tech? Midway used to be on California ave, but after Warner bros bought them out they moved by the WGN studios about a half a mile down.
I live north of Chicago, and had recently went there months ago. It's the best arcade I've ever been to in my life and managed to play many games I never see anymore!
I am in a car heading there right now
I live 5 minutes from Galloping Ghost and I’m super salty I missed on Max being here lmao
North America: Ghalloping Ghost Arcade
*_"The stage of battle is set!"_*
Glad you liked place, Max. I've been there a few times (once for a Smash tournament). Great on you for giving them some exposure too, they obviously deserve it.
If I ever happen to be in Chicago, I want to be there
Yes and you need to try deep dish pizza from Lou Malnatti's
mercy Rivera this guy knows what he's talking about, that deep dish pizza is unbelievable...
I think Petes pizza in the city is the best, pizzanos... Never heard of it, and it's probably small mom and pops place. .. probably in the suburbs I presume? ?...I only mentioned Lou Malnatti's because it's the best out of the big 3 (giordannos, Lou Malnatti's, ginos east) there's hundreds of little pizza places in Chicago but they have to be downtown to count, most toursist come to downtown anyways.
mercy Rivera
Pizzano's is bigger than Pete's. Has more locations actually. Does better deep dish (think Pequod's type pizza).
Xagrand Web Pizzano's is fine and all but can't compare to Beggar's, Connie's and Home Run Inn.
My brother and I (from Canada) spent two days in Galloping Ghost back in September 13 and 15, 2019... at that time there were 732 video arcades. Expanded to the entire building. There were only a handful of games out of order. Very impressive. The fee was $20/person/day. They also have a separate building for PINBALL (approx. 30 ea. pinballs - fee was $15/person) but if you pay for both entrances then save $5 on pinball entrance. The PODCAST was discussing looking for another building or bigger location to support more video arcade games.
I want to go back again.
I go all the time!
Really ? You live in Brookfield, I live in the city I want to go there tomorrow.
Doooood I'm so jealous UGHHHH I wish they had something like this in PA.
2020 update from a local. They now have a second building exclusive for pinball machines for $15 a block away and the main arcade had an even larger expansion that now costs $20. Still more than worth it.
I'm sharing this, everyone, share this! >o< love arcades...
YESSS!!! This is wonderful. I used to haunt arcades and miss them and it's been fun to hear you talk about them on your show. To know a place like this exists makes me super happy. Also super happy you were able to visit and enjoy it. I'd like to see more arcade ressurections!
The arcade owner has a remarkable resemblance to Tommy Wiseau...
Holy shit, I thought I was the only one that thought that!
Galloping Ghost Arcade truly is the best! I have never veered far from Brookfield, so as soon as this video popped up, I was happy to see Max came out near my home! 5 years too late but still!
I hope you do come out again so I can go support Max and Doc. Yes, I know Doc because that man introduces himself to everyone and is extremely nice and chill.
I'm not sure if its still happening, but Doc was also working on Dark Presence, his own game which was a love letter to Mortal Kombat. Another amazing thing about GGA.
DAMN, WHY DO I LIVE IN AUSTRALIA!!
Seems like everyone is fucked in Australia for arcades. Your government doesn't like fun does it?
Alex Moore
australia have some of the most strict(if not the strictest),gaming regulation and censorship in the world, and that is a big"F*CK YOU"to the gamers in that country,in fact i believe mortal kombat 9 is still banned in there
yup were fucked. our arcades here are for 10years and under. WHAT HAPPENED TO REAL ARCADES!!! lol i dont think ive ever seen a street fighter arcade in australia (thats me personally)
Nia Geeh
i can understand that the law in there considers mortal kombat like something that should be banned, but street fighter? that sucks dude
street fighters not banned here, its just no one has it cause australians dont really play it here so its nota big seller if u know wat i
mean
Been here a few times, its freaking awesome.
I took my little brother to show him how things were done back in the day.
My and my brother are going to have to go their with some freinds when wer're older
I must say, I can appreciate the dedication in order to keep a place (to this caliber) open due to my dad being partners with a couple of arcade rooms back in the day. I had access to alot of this stuff.
I've been blessed by growing up around the arcade "world", but the 30-ish yr old machines were fresh back then, and these look great! Its alot of work (on different aspects) to run an "arcade".
The original cabinets generally weren't designed to live 30yrs!
I'd love to go one day!! I must research more. I'd love to see the line-up.
Circus Circus in Vegas has a pretty big arcade. Sucks my local arcades suck.
I live in Las Vegas and been there, so I can tell you first hand that this arcade beats Circus Circus arcade out the park.
Julian Miranda I live 6 hours away from vegas and currently that's the best Arcade i've been to. I wonder if it has Killer Instinct 1? Anyways it seems arcades are getting way too expensive. I remember it was 2 tokens/quarters per game now it's a dollar for pretty much every game.
Yeah last time I went was about a month ago and I don't recall seeing KI1 in it sadly. I stopped going there because it was getting really pricey and most of the games there, including the game stands where you win stuff animals, were getting really expensive.
Atleast you have a arcade where you live :'(
atleast you have some man lol
After 10 years...I finally went to galloping ghost arcade in 2024. I spent a good 3 hours just in awe and shedding a tear. It was a lot more "updated" compared to when this was uploaded. I'll always return to GGA whenever I'm in Chicago.
WHY DO I ALWAYS GET NEW REASONS TO GO TO CHICAGO... THATS AWESOME.
Did you ever get the chance to ask him about a guilty gear xrd machine? If there was one ther, I'd be planning to go right now.
They only have Guilty Gear XX Accent Core
They'll make a machine for it when it comes on console
syxx573
It doesn't matter. GGA is no 2Chainz. Stop supporting fake artists.
Xagrand Webb ... How does that have anything to do with Guilty Gear? Or do you not like Metal? I don't vare if ya don't, but I hardly believe someone who designs characters, games, AND music is a "fake artist"
What's 2chainz got to do with any of this? Is there a game he made I don't know about?
I was talking to syxx. That comment wasn't meant for anyone else. Inside joke.
Looks amazing, I'm both happy for you for getting the chance to go there
and ever so slightly jealous!
I live 40 min away. Still haven't gone
You fool. I live on a different continent and I am now thinking of going on holiday to Chicago for this and you live 40 MINUTES!
***** It's not inner chicago you fool. It's not even in chicago, its in a suburb called Brookfield.
***** Go now before its to late!! Heaven awaits
This is AWESOME!!! I live about 40 mins away from Brookfield, IL. I will definitely visit that Arcade soon. Great cover on this Arcade Maximilian. Much appreciated bro!
They increased the admission from $15 to $20 but oh my god, it still looks worth it! :D
Luke Garry hey they gotta cover the electric bill somehow this place is an oven with all those machines but it's worth it
It can'r be easy keeping all these machines running. Must be real expensive.
Thank you Max. Illinois will be on my travel list just for this single arcade.
Well as someone who is from Chicago, I will tell you it's a romantic idea to live there, but it's kinda shitty.
Would probably be better to live like an hour away wouldn't it?
Yeah pretty much.
It depends on where you live in the city. A lot of the townships in Chicago are not shitty.
theSomeguyatwork Fair enough, where I grew up wasn't the best place. Don't get me wrong I love Chicago still but would not live there again.
Vampire Savior and Vampire Savior 2 arcade cabinet! Too hype! Need to make a trip to this place.
look good but best in the world its a little too much. if he go to japan arcade he going to have a heart attach lol
I disagree.... You will never find these vintage games in japanese arcade nowadays.
jackmac66 This.
Most of the buildings that used to be arcades have closed down even in Japan. There aren't a lot of them or even game shops anymore. It's like the US, really.
But all they have are really fighters and driving and dancing games mostly as well as specific Japanese games like Pinko Machines and such. They don't have vintage machines like these.
PotbellyPunch except it's not considering I was just in Tokyo and there are still multi-level arcades on almost every single corner.
This was years ago, but thank you for bringing good exposure to this awesome arcade. I’m a Chicago native and I go to this place as much as possible. You should see what it looks like now!
How shady of a neighborhood is this in?
Damn Chicago crime rate...
Not shady at all Brookfield is a Chicago suburb
Dude Chicago is much more than a city with a higher than average crime rate.
SafeShack no dude is average, tv media just likes to emphasize on Chicago because of Obama, some channels support Republicans they will do anything to make Obama look bad, they did the same thing when Clinton was president tv made new York look bad, it's pretty much average, if fact Detroit has more murders that Chicago but you never hear about it do ya? Nope you don't because 1. no one cares about Detroit, 2. Obama is not from there.
SafeShack any number of crime and murders are the same as new York and L.A and Chicago , that's what big cities have, but that doesn't mean the whole city is bad, I lived in Chicago my whole life, I can tell you only 7% to 10% is considered bad, but none needs to go there and it's in the far side of the city, away from the good stuff, it doesn't affect tourism or anyone that doesn't live in the bad area.
mercy Rivera Ok, I don't mean for this to get too political or anything, but you keep saying that people, the media especially overstate the violence in Chicago because of Obama. You may be right on the exposure part, but you're wrong on it not being all that violent. I've seen the numbers for number of homicides for Chicago before, they've been well over 300 for quite a long time now, sometimes reaching over 500. Even for a big city, that's pretty high. And it's "beaten" Detroit in that sense multiple times. Overall violent crime I believe is lower than Detroit, but the focus here is murders; although the rate for that is still fairly high. And this is all well before Obama was even a blip on anybody's radar. I mean, just in the past couple of years, the number of homicides in Chicago has hovered around 400, 500 while Detroit and New York City (to throw in another example) have hovered around 350, 400. (NOTE: I'm definitely not completely accurate on the numbers here. I'm just going off of what I remember and I'm 100% sure I'm at least in the ballpark on the numbers. It's close enough to make my point.)
I don't doubt that it affects tourism. Chicago has a rich culture and heck, people still visit smelLA (LA) all the time too and LA is a MUCH shittier place than Chicago (I've never been to Chicago, but I have been to LA and I doubt it gets much shittier than that outside of Detroit and the non-Mall area of DC and what not), so that doesn't surprise me. I also don't doubt that it's only a small part of the city that ruins the reputation for the rest, that's really the case for most cities, but you can't deny that Chicago is violent. Even compared to most big cities, it's still pretty violent. There's a reason it has the reputation it has and the facts, unfortunately, support it.
One last thing is that you keep comparing Chicago to other big cities in your support to say that Chicago isn't that violent. Well, all those big cities are also REALLY bad so if Chicago is similar or not much worse, then…well…I think you get what I'm saying.
I have only been there once and I live in Illinois...after I left I told myself I have to go back and play more of the games. I'm glad that you enjoyed it so much Dood since it is a beautiful arcade.
I didn't even know this existed and it's close to where I live! Definitely going to visit this place in the future. Great video Max!
Rock on, Max. I go out here whenever I can. It's a great place, with awesome staff and they keep the machines up in great condition.
Loved how you talked about putting quarters down just like old school days. This is paradise!
Still operational as of the date of me posting this. Brother took me there on my birthday and since this video, they are up to 900+ games and the building has been expanded to contain more games. They have a Lucky & Wild that me and my brother couldn't beat as kids cause of not enough quarters, but after 20 years we sat down and finally beat it.
10/10 place
This is why you the man. I live in chicago and had no ideas that was here. Thank you dood when I go I’ll post a vid and shout you out
This is definitely a must-visit whenever I get to Chicago. The amount of machines they have that I want to play is staggering.
I live 30 minutes away from GG and have been there several times. Amazing place
I love going to this place. I have a tradition of always playing all the street fighter games against whoever I bring along with me.
I haven't gone here in a while, after watching this, I feel inspired again. It is only about 25 minutes away from me. They have an MKX tourney going on soon too. I'm glad you had a chance to experience it. Definitely worth the trip for any gamer.
I've always seen the guys from GGA in tournaments, but never knew what the arcade looked like. That place looks SUPER AMAZING!
Thanks for sharing Max. I was just as amazed watching your video. I haven't seen an arcade like this since the last time I was in Japan. Even then, this arcade is superior. You've just motivated me to visit Chicago. I'm not even kidding.
WHOA! Thanks for showing us this! I will definitively will visit if I'm in the area!
I'm shitting myself a little bit because I live right by that arcade and have been going since the day they opened. I'm bummed I wasn't there when you were, because you're my main source for fighting game content. Rock on.
awesome for sharing this max! this gives me that spark of hope that arcades aren't dead!
I love galloping ghosts lol I go there with friends all the time, I'm so happy you love it AND PISSED THAT MISSED MEETING YOU. Give a shoutout next time you're going!
Love your enthusiasm in this video, it's infectious. :)
I've watched streams from the arcade on the arcade's twitch channel. They usually stream Injustice and sometimes Mortal Kombat tournaments every Thursday around 9 pm Central time. Looks like a great place and the people there seem very chill and entertaining.
I love that this place is less than 20min from my place. Doc is the fucking man
I was just there this past weekend. 6 of my best friends and I drove from Indianapolis, Indiana just to spend an over night in Chi-town for this place. I met Doc and chatted up with him for an hour. I haven't been to a place like that since the 80's and I had an absolute blast. My friends and I did the "Arcade Experience" with Street Fighter 2. We traded spots for about half an hour. We took our time on other machines to beat games all the way through to the end. We beat Smash TV, The Avengers, Bucky, Injustice, Gauntlet, Star Wars and Terminator. I played Tron up to level 8, Donkey Kong to level 6 and the entire Killer Instinct ladder 2 times. And then there were the various 5 min rounds of old school games. We were there from 11 am until 1pm broke for lunch, then from 2 until 5, broke to check into hotel, then from 7 until 10, broke for beer and bar food, then finished the night from 11 to 12. We had a complete blast.
I met the team that went to EVO this year that was sponsored by this arcade. Those doods were so freaking awesome. They told me all about this arcade and I'm like super hyped and want to go.
I couldn't believe I was living in a city with an arcade like this. Glad you love galloping ghost max it's the best!
Max, thanks for sharing! This place looks amazing. Even though I'm in my late 30's I missed out on the arcade experience, maybe I'll make it out there some day.
i live in chicago and i never heard of this place till now, thanks for spreading the word, im definitely going to check this out
Try to go on a Thursday, when GGA does their weekly Gods Among Us tournament.
Lots of stream viewers for a reason. It's grrrr8 fun to spectate that stuff.
wow, Im extremely envious. I've been wanting to visit Galloping Ghost for years. It would be my sole reason to visit Chicago.
I was born in 1980 so i got to live thru the whole arcade scene and honestly it was always my favorite scene, I'll be visiting this place soon , it's a 5 hour drive but worth it. I'm going to shoot for getting a hotel and staying 3 days. I recently went to Gatlinburg's Pinball museum and played every pinball machine in the place then I was told it closed shortly after I got to go there...real shame
Dude I was just there last night cant get enough of this place and its so huge that once you think you found everything they have and then turn a blind corner and boom something new amazing place
I live in a suburb next to Chicago and yet I've never heard of this place...
I guess I know where I'm going this weekend.
I was lucky enough to go to Ghost Arcade earlier this year when I took the whole family to Chicago. My Chi-Town experience was complete. Got to see relatives I have seen in ages, had the awesome deep dish and of course got my Ghost Arcade on.
The heat in there is horrendous...I almost passed out from that and all the nostalgia...seriously
