- BLOOD INCANTATION - Slave Species of the Gods (OFFICIAL VIDEO). Taken from the album "Hidden History of the Human Race", out November 22nd, 2019. Order now: BloodIncantati...
“Slave Species of the Gods” was filmed at our performance in Santa Ana on October 11th during our tour with Immolation. Directed and edited by Gabe Gomez, who first filmed us on our very first tour, the video for this song evokes the disorienting, chaotic and psychedelic vibe of our live concert. Filmed directly onto VHS, the video contains an aesthetic similar to many of our favorite old recordings of classic bands while also being engagingly trippy. The song itself was the second song written for Hidden History of the Human Race and has been played live since the Decibel tour. Being the first track on the record, “Slave Species of the Gods” is meant as a full force brutalizer, going non-stop over the course of its relatively short five minutes and thirty-one seconds.”

Nothing but pure death metal! 🔥
Hidden History': Satisfaction guaranteed or you get your planet back.
@Astute Cingulus uhh wat?
I'll go with satisfaction. They can take the planet as long as I have countless death metal CDs to listen to and lots of metal chicks.
We are watching one of the best modern death has. Incredible band.
Actual but heavily cemented in 1990's tradition of old school american DM. Morbid Angel, Death, Immolation, Incantation and Nile drenched in a 1970's classic psychedelic Pink Floydian and King Crimson topping. Top notch dish.
That’s my uncle Jeff on bass
Check out sylosis
@@ygsgxll8871 that’s awesome. I just saw your comment on the adult swim performance.
@@shapeshifter-theamorphousg3264 Big truth
Blood Incantation continues to be one of the most creative modern death metal bands. That's why they stand out from the rest.
@morbidcorpse who's Trey?
@@RenKurono
Trey Azagthoth, guitarist of Morbid Angel.
@morbidcorpse Kinda true but Morbid Angel is the best thing to emerge from the metal genre imo so I'm not complaining ;)
@morbidcorpse Absolutely agreed, Morbid
@morbidcorpse all creativity is just influence and experience. These guys are plenty creative. It takes a creative thinker to take your favorite bits of different bands and smash it into your own take.
This is how proper recording must be done. They just made it right without compression!
It's been a while since I've found death metal that's actually interested me. I love how it's technical but not too much, not too rigid like some tech death can get, it has a kind of flow to it. Definitely reminds me of older bands like Death, Nocturnus, and Gorguts.
New Cattle Decap is great too
I hear Morbid Angel way more than those but I agree with what you're saying
0:26 to 0:56 makes me feel like having a Pokemon battle
This is everything I always hoped Death Metal would become.
doesn't sound any different than death metal that was being made 20+ years ago...
@@brothercartman For me. It's all my top bands in one package, with their own twist on it.
My god death metal has been the worst genre of this decade. Thank god something slipped in at the last moment. Black metal has been pretty much been the only good shit to happen to metal in the 2010s, with maybe Vektor and Power Trip pushing thrash a bit.
@@EliteBeast Then you really don't know enough good death metal bands. Gorephilia, Ghoulgotha, ofc Spectral Voice (3/4ths blood incantation), Tomb Mold, Blood Urn, Mortiferum, Father Befouled, Rude, Skelethal, Skeletal Remains, Witch Vomit, Coffincraft, Fetid, and Gravebomb. This last decade was great for getting back to the old school sound of death metal.

lyrics:
Incarnate in time
To play the game of life and death
Human souls at war
Endlessly reborn just to die
And die again
Sow the seeds of suffering
To break the chains of consciousness
For he who's called Yaldabaoth
You're free inside
This demiurge is beyond Time
This great nothing is everything
But the only change is in your mind
What the eyes can't see
The search begins within
Synthetic light beings
From within the nine dimensions
A hologram unseen
The soul's ascent begins again
As the Mind merges with the all
Cross the bridge divine
From the Cosmic Mind
Quantum desolation opens the Gate of Mind
Love the retro VHS coloration, there's just something about low-res that makes everything heavier.
One of the best death metal bands on the planet right now show this to the aliens and maybe they’ll spare us long enough for to hear a live set
SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT
I remember falling in love with the album cover, only to realize the music is heavy as balls (I liked Judas Priest and Metallica the most back then), now my music taste is so evolved/degenerated to enjoy this masterpiece.
Everything about this sounds so familiar but totally new, like picking up some apeshit record from 91 you never bothered to check out. @1:55 is total oldschool Nile.
this album has bits that sound like immolation, death, obituary, morbid angel, and nile as mentioned. blood incantation are keeping death metal alive and breathing.

What's not to love?! Stellar hooks, celestial break downs and down to earth vocals. Would love to do a Q & A Feature on these guys.
4ork3D 70n9u3 totally agree. These guys are sick.
I'm an Editor at Metal Inferno plus I do my own webzine.
Morbid Angel - Blessed are the sick mixed with Death - Indiviudal Thought Patterns...
With a spice of Nocturnus - The key... And some Gorguts - Considered Dead + Immolation
Dawn of possession, lol And there ya go, kids.
You get top 90s albums in one \m/
I've listened to Death and Gorguts plenty, any recommendation on where to start with Morbid Angel?
@Ely Gallego Awesome, thanks.
Its more of the erosion of sanity than considered dead or maybe even obscura

I've been on the edges of death metal for a very long time, trying to figure out how to step into it. These guys are finally grabbing me by the collar and dragging me in. Their tunes are fun as hell and their ambient side is pretty novel too.
Chemistry of this band is beyond impressive.. 🔥🤘🔥
BC Rich Guitar, you know your roots boys.
Wow, it's almost like Chuck is still with us. This is fucking killer!
A true modern old school banger ! Excellent musicianship !
Great raw sound and very organic with untriggered drums and musical abilities
Are drums not triggered?
The amount of quality riffs in this song is absurd AND they hit like 20 riffs before repeating one. TOP SHELF.
🛸🛸SO GOOD!! 🛸🛸
Your post brought me here.... Hails!
All doubts are dispelled. Excellente song.
I keep listening to the first 18 seconds over and over again its so good
My favorite song of this album. I listen to it almost everyday since I discovered this band. The atmosphere and those deep growls are so good!
I'm a late 80s\90s death\grind\black\doom metal head - this is awesome, best new stuff I have heard in a LOONNNGGGGG time
Holy shit they sound incredible yet again.
Very Morbid Angel inspired but trippier
No more mental trips😵😵😵😵🙈🙈🙈🙈
This album is so fucking cool! The saviors of modern Death Metal
I'm so Angry I didn't find this band before. Their sound is pretty amazing and the tracks composition too. Truly among the greatest acts of DM.
Imagine a Cattle Decap and Blood Incantation tour. Hard to decide who had a better 2019 album.
They both play at Brutal Assault!!
Absolutely🤘
Imagine if Decapitated was also on that tour and played "Winds of Creation" set
Oh... Hell yeah!!! 🤘that would be sick!
That would be the Dream !!!
If this band doesn't blow up after this album drops I'm gonna be seriously disappointed
C'mon, it's still underground extreme music. Notorious in it's scene for sure. 'Blow up' is for the mainstream radio herd of sheep.
@@shapeshifter-theamorphousg3264 a contestant on that NBC show The Masked Singer just performed this. They are also apparently going to do a collab with Diplo and Panic! At The Disco for a charity event this holiday season. They blowing up for real!
well, they are pretty mainstream in metal world nowadays

Excellent!, one of the most finest Death Metal Bands what i've heard in the last years
OOOOOOOOOH I REMEMBER THIS SONG when you guys played it live!! Deja vu here!
This record is so fucking good it quite literally invigorates me , filling me with joy and lifting me from the deepest pits of depression thank you for this work of art
I dont always like me some Death Metal but when I do its Blood Incantation!
Holy shit, just discovered the band, these guys are incredible!
What a crazy video, the song is awesome!
Absolute madness \m/
Seriously one of my favorite bands!
The fact you guys used a live version is so fucking awesome... and then I hear giza power plant at the end... thank you
DYLANS official I think the audio is the studio version until the end when they splice in the crowd cheering.
@@jamesmackay7603 you're right, the RUclips audio was tricking my ears.
Looking forward to the new album \m/ \m/
Great song,from beginning to end.🤘
The VHS horizontal stripes are a really nice touch, as if somebody had recorded it off TV from a late night rock show, so many years ago.
Thank you
Superiority!!!
The Morbid Angel influence is strong, I like it
Triple Rec goodness riffs are very good.
They use Peavey 5150's I believe.
hell yeah!!!
Por Dios que buena rola, y que buen disco!!
Blood incantation is from another world 👽👽
This band is so fucking dank it's out of control.
Hey guys I just wanted to say you were amazing in Toronto, I hope the tour goes well for you all
Whoa, this video is...too good. Really takes the song even further. Same with that other video, it fits the song perfectly
I wanna hear that riff at 0:47 for 10 hours straight
Nocturnus + morbid Angel + gorguts = Blood incantation, technical, Groove and brutal!!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊😀👍
I love those melodies!
Fuuuuck Yes!!!!! Ya'll were fucking amazing in Houston! Thank Ya'll.
FUCK MAN!!! I cannot WAIT for my copy of the album to arrive! The production is fucking PERFECT!!!! I love that you guys went analogue and old school for it, it REALLY comes through - not too tight, not too loose, clear with hints of warmth, and a slightly rounded feel to the mid-range (bloody hell, it sounds like I'm talking about food haha). SPLENDID \m/
AOTY. No doubt. All the best attributes of old school, no frills death metal, but also fresh as fuck. I'm in love.
I love the Immolation influence.

old school as fuck while being progressive... this has hints of Morbild Angel in it, Death and some riffs remind me Immolation. Great stuff
I'm getting an Immolation vibe from this
Great opener to what’s I’m sure a wonderful album.
Seeing this live their setup was so loud you could hear the music echoing from your rattling bones \m/
Death metal on acid. Love it!
Melodic riffs kinda remind me of old Atheist but with a stoner death metal twist, this is marvelous music.grande.

2:54 made me say “fuckkkkk…” under my breath
Immolation on acid. 🤘🤘
Reminds me of Morbid Angel (which is great!@!). Great song and an awesome band!!
splendid and cool, very good elaboration of death metal!!!
Thanks for the IG link for the director too
Album is fantastic
Decided to check these guys out from a random RUclips comment that said y’all were really good. They were not wrong, holy shit❤️

The album cover is amazing OMG
Drums sound fantastic

Man that was sick
Aliens and Death Metal such a cool combo!
finger style bass for the win
Exactly how I like it !!!!
This band got me listening to death metal non-ironically.
it truly is the pokemon song>! wow
New kings of death metal have arrived.
LOL
Okay, I just realized this is almost the exact same riff as Immortal Rites by Morbid Angel!? Did they mean to do that as like a nod to their influences???
Yes
