Adding pebbles of different stone types, decorated like Pink Petals with the stacking and rotation, and boulders of different stone types (sized like a mob head) with randomization positioning of flowers and grasses, are good to liven the biomes up. As for Deserts, you can add a rare Desert Oasis biome where the Palm Trees generate.
I know it probably won't ever happen, but it feels like SUCH a missed opportunity that they didn't add a deep ocean biome when they changed the height limit of the world. A deep ocean biome where it just cuts off the ocean into a deep cliff that enters the biome and has spooky underwater creatures even deeper than the current oceans would have been so cool.
Omg that would be so cool, something I’ve wanted to see is a shark mob that would eat fish. Maybe it could drop a tooth when it ate a fish that could be used to craft new items like a new potion or type of arrow kinds of like the spectral arrows we have now. Maybe maybe arrows that could be used underwater?
Minecraft definitively need more generations with free space between elements like in Cube World Some biome really feels outdated and boring! Really nice video!
Considering they are working/adding shaders,I do agree that they *should* update the biomes, while adding new biomes like a volcanic landscape and volcanoes that has a fortress on them with Maybe a dragon that u could tame after defeating it. Also they should add more animals and mobs such as,Lions, snakes (any biome but mainly jungles, monkeys(Jungle),birds,Elephants, giraffes (Savannah),Crocodiles (and Alligators that live in the mangrove or swamp),sharks, cheetahs(Savannah),deers, jellyfish, whales, penguins (Ice biomes or snow biomes near the water),and bears (any biomes besides Savannah and desert). (Oh and tigers and fireflies) I don’t get why the fireflies were not added and cancelled. But all of these added will feel more atmospheric in my opinion.
For me its the lack of weather variety that makes biomes boring. For instance savannahs instead of getting no rain could have a 3 day long monsoon storm every 30 days or the jungle getting frequent rain. You could also just retexture mobs for biome variety. A chicken spawning in dark oak woods is simply a turkey, in savanna something like a guineafowl, ocean/river biomes a sandpiper. Maybe some can be killed in one hit but only have 1/2 chance to drop food
One idea for a new desert plant is the socotra dragon tree from the Socotra Islands in Yemen. It is known for having a blood-red sap. This could be a new variant of the tree resin, introduced in the 2024 winter drop. This new red resin could then be refined into redstone, as a new way to get renewable redstone.
Maybe you could place down the termites in a line, and then when you drop something on top of the termites, they would carry it to the other end of that line. Like a conveyor belt. It would be similar to a hopper, only it would be cheaper (so better for the early game), would only work horizontally (whereas the hopper can work vertically too), and maybe it could carry items faster.
If you want to see a more fleshed out version of the Bandit mob idea discussed here, the server Origin Realms has a bunch of new illager-type mobs and some of them have a western theme, spawning in Badlands/Mesa!
That should definitely be a thing, they could have even their version of village and it could look like western-themed villager village but all houses are dark oak logs and planks. They should have special type of illager. Maybe like someone who throws dinamite sticks which would not damage terrain other than vegetation.
The Termites could grow special mushrooms not found anywhere else (like real life termites) that maybe can be brewed into a potion. And maybe they should turn regular wood in a new type of wood called Dead Wood that's grey or black on the inside and a greyish brown on the outside.
My personal ideas for each biome: Badlands: Sand worms, with either a scorpion or sand worm boss mob. The great hunger from the old mob vote but big as a boss. A tnt pillager too. Savanna: Honestly, just more grass types and maybe lizard people that live in villages and attack in different hunting patterns. Random pieces of wood, not to common, but just as mini bushes that died that are larger than the normal dead bushes. Desert: It kinda should be empty cause its a, you know, desert. Massive underground lake with sandstone caves. Sand worms might be cool, but only at night. Birch forest: Loads of plants, just like the wilder wilds mod. That's it. Jungle and swamp villages. I agree with more structures for all biomes.
I think the biggest thing the entire overworld lacks is ambiance....everywhere just feels sterile and dead. 4, maybe 5 passive mob types spawn around...we need ambiance mobs/effects. Birds that are basically reskinned bats maybe, or just bird sounds. Mobs like the fire fly, a few pixels just flitting around. More particle effects.
Badloands could have an entire new village type; american western style. It could be made unique with more frequently pillager raids, more focus on horses, saddles, horse armor, leads.
I agree with your statement of getting redesigned biomes, but I think that most people would rather it just be a toggle-able button that was able to be enabled/disabled, because there are always going to be people that want to have the old biomes but also want the new content.
They NEED to add colored light already. We have different colors of torches and froglights, but they all just give off white light. Imagine colored light mechanics along the lines of the rethinking voxels shader.
I have an idea to the termites. They would be find in blocks (as showed in Minecraft Live) and could be catched in empty bottles. Then you could place them in gravity blocks (such as sand, red sand, gravel and all powder concrete colors) making and "termite infested block" and they would perodiacly drop "grains" of the type of block you put them in. You could use the "grains" to duplicate the block, and when mixed with a few other blocks (such as wood or leaves) you could obtain a block to speed up the process a little or duplicate the termites in a near block. I hope someone could implement my idea on a mod and sorry for my bad english.
Not exactly a biome, but i would like to see a meteorite crater that spawns anywhere in the overworld but its very rare. Around the crater is a mix of obsidian, magma, deepslate and a new block called, Crystalized Glass. Crystalized glass is a semi transparent block that has a same durability as diamond ore. It often found in meteorite crater due to sand being superheated by the impact of the meteor. Idk its use yet other than a building block. Then we get into the meteorite itself. A half cut sphere coated with Heavenly Rock, Calcite and pink amethyst like crystals called Rose quartz as its inner layer. The true contents of the meteorite is an alien like chest that damages you when you open it (best open it with golden apple eaten) Call it either a Chest monster or simply a Mimic. You can mine it and use it as a safe. The first person to mine a wild Chestmonster automatically becomes its owner, no other players can open it or they need to incapacitate the Chestmonster in order to get it's contents, but the Chestmonster had to fight back by biting the other player. The Chestmonster has a huge hp so it won't be easily be robbed of it's contents. But what about the inside of this Chestmonster? Surely it should be op items. Well since it came from a meteorite, no blocks of items from the overworld, nether or end is inside, but rather, a new set of blocks and items that can't be found anywhere. A strange new set of Armor made out of unknown minerals, maybe one or two pieces per Chestmonster per meteorite. Slightly better than iron but gives you high protection against warden Shockwaves and magic effects. I call it, The Outerlands Armor. For weapon, it should be a chakram. When thrown to an enemy, it ricochets to the nearest other enemies (up to five mobs within range) before coming back to the player who've thrown the Chakram. Enchantments could be Ricochet 1 to 3 (increases the amount of ricochets it gives) Think of a new enchantments for this i ran out of time then various New blocks like the ones i previously mentioned And then the last thing the Chestmonster contains is it's glowing saliva called Goobers. Elephantss could be bred using baobab fruit, elephants would have multiple personality's like the panda referencing how intelligent those animals are and also could be a way to add them even tho they can be quite aggresive in real life but also gentle depending on the individual. Elephants would also protect their young and attack illagers and ravagers, the illager thing is an reference to the poaching situation and elephants bully rhino's and other smaller animals (compared to them) so it could be intresting to have them chase ravagers off. Hyena's could be bred using rotten flesh and hunt zombie's, being useful for protecting villages alongside iron golems. Mobs killed by hyena's would drop more items than when killed by players. Horses and donkeys would have new skins based on zebra's and the somali wild ass.
They should reduce the number of river in the desert add more oasis also they would have more chance to generate structure in river and oasis and sand storm to
To make minecraft much better they should work into the world generation a few standards. 1 being that some biomes can't generate next to each other and require a certain chunk limit for each biome that it can exceed but not be less than. This will avoid small 5 chunks of snowy taiga in the middle of regular taiga, and also avoid snow biomes touching desert biomes. Or jungle biomes being right next to a dark Forrest. Idk I think there needs to be plains biomes between them so it feels more natural. But I also wanna see desert biomes next to savannas and red deserts. You know?
Also implement seasons along with making the polar bear spawn in other biomes so we can get black bears in taigas, and grizzly bears in regular forests. Then you can worry about bee hives having random bear encounters where they steal the honey. Or even being able to make the cubs passive with fish so you can have friendly cute bears as pets.
I completely agree with biome placement and I too dislike how some biomes generate. I looks horrible when jungle is next to birch or usual forest, there should Always be savanna around jungle and then it can go into deserts or temperate biome and then cold ones. I also hate how there is no temperature variants for beaches and Stone shore, so the water hue matches the ocean they are Next to. And generally they should make more biomes. And they should change landmass generation too, currently from a far oceans looks like huge lakes, rather than more natural look of having Islands or continents separared by oceans (nothing too large) and narrow straights. It would make exploration more fun. This can even mean some landmasses may be more arid, or wet, or cold with improved biome placement. More thematic islands.
I think mangrove forest is NOT a swamp, I mean seriously mangroves and usual swamps are not mean to to be the same biome. It is good NEW biome but regular swamp is practicly the same sadly. Mangroves are more warm and hot and usual swamp is more temperate or cold. That being said the ususal swamp should have at least willow trees, flowering lillypads and cattails (brown dye 'flower' also) Some of my ideas for existing biomes: Rivers - occasional willow tree at its banks, also warm version would generate near warm biomes with algae floating on surface Badlands wooded version - palo Verde tree, a really green wood, could still have oaks but it should be mostly palo Verde Forest - taller trees, even small ones should have at least 6 log blocks, this is meant to be a forest, not something that borders on maquis shrubland. Larger oaks should natually generate more often too. Taiga - some cold climate flower and a new tree type - pine tree, although most would still be spruce. Just to break monotony and pine can have grey wood like how old oak texture once was. Also we have old growth PINE taiga so it should definitely be added. Jungle - is already ok but maybe new tree because it is odd a jungle has only one type of wood, maybe even it can get the largest flower that exists and definitely a plant themed hostile mob. It is odd minecraft doesn't have that already. Desert - definitely some sort of brown rock for any hills there, like brownstone which can be used like normal stone in crafting Savanna - golden grass is a must, that itself would fix 90% of it + everything shown at votes Flower forest - more dense flowers, so 4 on 1 block, more of a flower placing mechanic change than biome one Stoney shore and beaches - more temperature variants so that their water matches the ocean water near it. Could have different rocks, maybe cold and frozen ones can have more often andesite for example, warm ones brownstone, lush ones maybe vines all over it
Minecraft need a new boss and dunegon,so i created him,his name is Soul Devourer,he is a IIlager, and he has a big axe,and he lives in a big,big and more big and more bigger dungeon, with a new types of Iilager
@@Sprigatitto740 it pretty much updated the shape of all biomes, and added 8 new biomes. Worldgen is a part of what makes biomes biomes and adds tons of variation to them. Existing biomes in 1.17 and 1.18 can look completely different. New blocks and mobs isn't the only way to update biomes
I think the jungle is a mix of Asia and South America, since you can find pandas but also cacao, that are originally from South America. So if they could divide the biome in two maybe we could have capybaras.

Stoney shore and beaches - more temperature variants so that their water matches the ocean water near it. Could have different rocks, maybe cold and frozen ones can have more often andesite for example, warm ones brownstone, lush ones maybe vines all over it
Honestly I dont think the Badlands are that rare, I see them all the time
Minecraft need a new boss and dunegon,so i created him,his name is Soul Devourer,he is a IIlager, and he has a big axe,and he lives in a big,big and more big and more bigger dungeon, with a new types of Iilager
"Last major update that focused around biomes was 1.7"
1.18:
That was more specifically world gen, not biomes
@@Sprigatitto740 it pretty much updated the shape of all biomes, and added 8 new biomes. Worldgen is a part of what makes biomes biomes and adds tons of variation to them. Existing biomes in 1.17 and 1.18 can look completely different. New blocks and mobs isn't the only way to update biomes
I think mojang needs to add villager soldiers and slaves
slavery 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Erm aren't husks mummies?
I think the jungle is a mix of Asia and South America, since you can find pandas but also cacao, that are originally from South America. So if they could divide the biome in two maybe we could have capybaras.

That will ruin minecraft
@@spain65 It will revive Minecraft*
4:10 stop using excuse
