Good to see you again! although I remember still 2 things that they put in their backlogs when it was 1.13, back then in a stream the team revealed that they had plans for Pinguins to appear on Icy Ocean types and Anemone in Hot ones. But were put away during development for later updates.
Honestly I would be perfectly fine if they stopped votes and just focused on implementing the content that did not win previous votes, not just the Biome votes, I mean all the votes. But I understand why they do them, it draws eyes to the game, and keeps it in the public consciousness. So maybe they should do some votes where the losers of previous votes get a second pass, a losers' bracket.
And also farming leather is SO ANNOYING. You just wander around and look for cows or waste your time wrangling them up and stuffing them in a pen. With cacti just being a pure leather source it makes collecting leather so much more reliable.
I like the meteor idea. I always thought their should be some kind of end structure in the overworld to explain how the portal frame is made out of end stone
They’ve announced the addition of camels, so maybe they’ll do the other desert update bits for 1.20 too. Really liked the salt mines, and the end meteor idea is really neat too.
I think salt-rock caves would be great as its own cave biome. There could be salt crystals growing like dripstone that can be used to make salt lamps. Maybe salt can be placed on a plant to permanently keep it in whatever growth stage it's in. Also on dirt to prevent any grass from growing, and on any block in snowy biomes to prevent snow layer buildup.
Since you mentioned salt, I think it would be a cool detail to have Allays and Vexes have extremely negative reactions to salt, maybe Allays are scared off by it and Vexes are just outright damaged if they touch a salt block

It doesn't matter if people don't use baobab wood in real life... if they add baobabs as a new tree type, players will not be happy if they don't have a unique wood type (looking at you Azaleas...).
One issue with the meteors is that they may teach players the wrong thing. If the only way a player has interacted with the void is through a meteor then they may assume that falling in the void doesn't have any downside
That's a good point. I assume the texture would make it clearer that they aren't falling into the void, but it wouldn't be certain. Maybe the void could just be made less punishing in general lol
@@MinecraftIdeasAcademy the void is meant to be punishing, youre literally proposing turning the ender dragon fight thats arleady easy into a baby difficulty fight, and it wouldnt make any sense at all for your items to magically apear on your bed after you fell into a dark abyss in a different dimension 😪
Is it meant to be punishing? It was originally just designed as an out of bounds limitation. Also, Minecraft has plenty of things that don't make sense. Losing your items doesn't make the fight harder it just raises the stakes.
i love these ideas, especially the cactus leather and coconut milk ideas! although i’m not vegan myself, having the option especially for kids playing the game would be a great way to experiment with the idea 🤔
Just fully watched the vid and it's really good! Here's some of my own ideas for a backlog update for the 3 un updated biomes in this vid Badlands: don't really have much, maybe fossils could spawn more commonly as well as being closer to the surface in the badlands biome, since in real life fossils are relatively common in badlands. Other than that I don't really have anything else to say. Savannah: maybe alongside ostriches there could be other unique wildlife such as giraffes and zebra. For giraffes they would mainly be ambient mobs that could be bred with baobab fruit. Wheras zebras would be skittish herd animals that run away from players that aren't crouching, kinda like ocelots, and could be bred with wheat or normal apples. There could also be abandoned mud huts near rivers containing early game loot and could add to Minecraft's quasi lore a bit. Desert: elaborating on the idea of ancient pyramids, maybe there could be a sort of "grand pyramid" rarely found in deserts, modeled after the great pyramids of Giza (though not as big.) Within it could be husks and giant scorpions that would poison you with their stingers, along with simple redstone boobytraps. To compensate the loot found in grand pyramids would be very valuable, and normal desert temples would generally spawn with less valuable loot to encourage players to seek out grand pyramids. Anyway enough of that ramble, leave your thoughts down below in the replys
I really love how in addition to adding new functionality, you always make sure the ideas also tie back to older mechanics - stuff like stripping the cactus, vinegar's interaction with calcite, and ways to guide new players organically into things they wouldn't figure out on their own, like nether portals, fireworks, and the nether ancient city portals!
I had to turn on subtitles during the palm tree section to understand lol. I was just sitting there like "what do you mean canibals during the revolution!?"
As someone from Mexico, I'd like to propose some things for the new cactus: - Call it Prickly Pear (English name) or Nopal (Spanish name in Mexico) - Call the fruits tunas (Mexican Spanish name) - Make the pads edible, too. IRL they're cooked and then are ready for consumption. Here in Mexico they're commonly used in salads and soups, so perhaps there could be an option to mix them in with other crops in the game to make a nopal salad It's nice to see more elements from our little corner of the world get more recognition, like axolotls and this upcoming feature, however I feel like Mojang and you to some extent (no offense) are kind of skirting around making completely solid portrayals. For the axolotls, for example, I feel that comes in with their in-game diet of tropical fish. Axolotls are small-ish amphibians whose habitat is a lake in the literal center of Mexico. The type of fish they eat is not well-represented by tropical fish, and if anything, it's quite the opposite of what happens IRL. One of the types of tropical fish in Minecraft, the Blue-Gray Sunstreak, resembles IRL cichlids, a type of fish that are invasive in Lake Xochimilco and which are contributing to the decline of axolotls in their natural habitat. Given Mojang's track record of spotty research, I doubt it was intentional. Our crops and cuisine are very important for us, and they're one of the things that are 100% great about our culture without drawbacks. I'd love to see at least that get represented fully, hopefully make more people both overseas and here in Mexico decide to give nopal-based dishes a try, instead of just seeing the Minecraft nopal as "another type of cactus".
idk how this keeps happening but i was literally checking back on your channel yesterday to see of i i had missed an upload! seriously you’re one of my favorite youtubers and your ideas inspire me a lot!!
The Hot🔥 update would be really nice, as the Savannah and desert are looking really plain right now. A bunch of new consumable plants would be great as well.
This is really well done, good job man. Have really stuck well with the minecraft vibe and haven't strayed off, would love these unique mechanics for these concepts to be added in future!!
love your videos so much. its really cool to see how much of a team effort this video was to put together. the release timing is so perfect too. you always nail it with these.
I’d more make it so the vulture has a nest and it will take your items and bring them to the nest, preventing them from despawning but making you have to take the items back from the nest. Nests with stolen items will sparkle to indicate that your items are there. Sometimes nests will also have a vulture egg in them that you can bring home and make a nest for. Once you do that, the vulture you raised will take the items back to that nest if you die.
These ideas are actually really cool! They fit well with Minecraft and add new and interesting functions that could easily be approved by Mojang while also benefiting the player base. Great job!
we don’t have ostriches in Australia we have emus. similarly large birds but endemic to Australia. we also have the lesser known more menacing cassowary
I think the problem with just adding things to overworld biomes is that it’s not a large enough change. Minecraft has fallen in popularity since caves and cliffs. I think what makes a good update is something that very clearly makes older versions feel old! Just adding some niche blocks and items isn’t going to make the game more interesting besides adding an hour of content.
i feel like you’ve taken certain parts too seriously, i don’t think the whole “invasive species” part of the new cacti plant should even play a part in Minecraft at all, however i do find your idea of getting hurt when punching the new cacti rather cool as that’s what cacti did when it was first added to Minecraft, so in a way you’d be restoring a feature from alpha Minecraft
I like the idea of trees growing only in certain biomes, but i think that limits minecraft a bit too much. Maybe you could make it so you have to use a special fertilizer with a hard craft in order to grow them in different biomes. Like something made out of dragons' breath.
Pear cactus are native to a LOT of places, from savannahs to grasslands to deserts, to beaches, to islands, and even some found in forests! Plus, the areas where they’re invasive are of similar climate to their home regions. I don’t think the invasiveness needs to be touched upon, given the same issues apply for cats, bamboo, wolves, salmon, acacia, and parrots.
also pear cactus are just fruit???? you should be able to eat them like fruit because they’re fruit. they’re not particularly more medicinal than any other fruit.
Thank you! It was mostly Wikipedia, and a few mistakes have been pointed out in the comments from people who are more familiar with some of the features.
it's awesome to have a new video from you again!! The ideas presented in this video are really cool, and i love the vulture model lol ----------------------------------------------------------- Encouraging transport between areas is a really interesting concept that i think Minecraft should explore more, and maybe it could even lead to an improvement to minecarts? 👀 ---- OMG the badlands pyramid would be so awesome, but i think that instead of having a Nether portal, it should contain instructions/clues for how to build a Wither. The Wither is currently almost completely inaccessible to players who haven't looked at the Wiki or other external sources. ---- The meteorite idea is amazing too. Perhaps it could include a hint for how to find strongholds and enter the End? The meteorite also fits into my crackpot theory that amethyst geodes are interdimensional holes between the Nether and the Overworld lol The fact that amethyst geodes are mode of amethyst (a type of quartz) and basalt, is what led me to this theory.
@@MinecraftIdeasAcademy ah, that does makes sense for the wither and i'm glad you found the geode theory interesting haha ^-^ also, it's really neat that you read all the comments
1:35 NO WAY!!! is that a reference to the HIT VIDEO GAME team fortress 2 released by valve studios in 2007??? (After 9 years of development)??? (no but seriously is it a reference or is my mind just too far gone)
Vultures protecting your death loot from despawning I think would remove all punishment from dying and will make dying just a slight annoyance/inconvenience. Not to mention that if the chunks of the death are unloaded, you can take all the time in the world getting your items already.
Although some of these features are pretty awesome, many have aspects that are kind of awful. Limiting plants like palm trees and prickly pear cactus to one biome goes ageist everything that this game’s philosophy stands for. Likewise, making baobab not have a wood type would not only cause an uproar in the community, but also be completely unnecessary as although the wood isn’t the strongest or best material to build with, it still looks nice and would work fine inside of a Minecraft world.
You could still grow palms in other biomes, just be unable to renew them. I can revisit the prickly pear cactus, but I don't think baobab's wood colour would be sufficiently unique
The end meteors are such an amazing idea. I haven't seen anyone think of such a thing, not even in modded minecraft. Perhaps closest is the twilight forest's progression, but your idea does it with way fewer things that need to be implemented in order for it to work.
I don't wai you're videos much but I got to admit you did a pretty good job with all these especially the end meteorite one. Good job! It would also be nice to hear your take on the mob vote this year!
i absolutely LOVE the meteor idea, the rest of this vid had amazing ideas but the meteor one especially stood out to me. i never really thought about the organic aspect of everything tbh and it's definitely really interesting to think about. thank you for the ideas
I can't wait for the three hot biome updates, especially desert and badlands since they feel so empty yet so numerous. The end concept you had at the end is quite interesting, I would love to see something similar, but not exact, having pieces of the end seeping into the overworld, similar to the ruined portals and their surroundings would be cool.
Wow! Incredibly well produced video with so many good ideas, all the modelling really helped to illustrate your concepts, I’m sold! I hope this video gains more traction, not only do you deserve it but there are so many good ideas for discussion. The ideas regarding the Boab trees gets me the most excited, especially the concept of having trees not necessarily for the wood so they don’t just get cut down. I think it would make perfect sense for Minecraft, a game that has shown a fair amount of consideration for the animals they have chosen to add and what they want players to take away from their interactions with those mobs, this is a perfect chance for them to promote concepts of conservation of biomes.
Wow, that's high praise! Glad you enjoyed all the content, and thank you for your comment! And I agree, it would be a shame to see baobabs get cut down for their wood. They'd probably be quite complex to chop down anyway given their size.
Very cool ideas and implementation! Thought I should mention, the 'ostriches in Australian farms' were actually emus destroying crops in farms which lead to the emu wars
I think all of these ideas are awesome and would be cool to see ingame! My favorite is probably the interdimensional End meteorites, the concept is great and considering how apparently only a fraction of people actually get to the End (if I remember correctly) it could help the dimension very much. Giving players hints on main gameplay stuff they may have to look for on a wiki or something otherwise is always a good thing.
Holy crap. I wasn't sold on much of the ideas until the pyramid with lodestone one. No new blocks required but adds so much more into the game (and gives you a free lodestone, which is rather expensive).
I absolutely love the end update idea of meteorites that link to a temporarily locked section of the end, that's brilliant. Maybe a change could be needed for multiplayer, since it's not guaranteed everyone on a server goes to kill the ender dragon at the same time-and it's also possible to respawn the ender dragon. Maybe instead of unbreakable blocks it's more like a world border, but one that you can't see past, and one that only exists for players who haven't gone through one of the main stronghold portals, or maybe who haven't themselves gotten the achievement for freeing the end (which requires you to be in the end when the dragon dies).
I don't think every player should need to kill the dragon to access the rest of the end, but I could make the blocks come back if the ender dragon is respawned at the very least
I really like your ideas for palm trees. The idea of saplings that produce different kinds of fruit is neat on its own, and you came up with interesting uses for the fruits as well beyond just eating. coconut pvp sounds fun. Not sure about the arrows bouncing off the wood
On the topic of archeology I like the idea of adding a desert or badlands ancient village like Ait Benhaddou in the Sahara desert, my idea is that this would be many of the new structures where you can find pottery and fossils of ancient mobs. Other previous structures like ancient cities, ruins, mineshafts etc would also feature these archeological objects. And since we got the new chiseled bookshelves maybe we can get ancient books to find that feature small little tastes of lore.
Now I’m 2025 , with the whole warm and cold variants of mobs , I wouldn’t be surprised if the big drops of the year were a cold update and a warm update. The warm update containing these 3 , and the cold update containing an iceologer , penguin and ice spike village.
I honestly thought that they would add one of the backlogged biomes per update alongside something new to keep people interested instead of “Took you guys long enough” because of the mods lol
In regards to prickly pear fruit preparation another easy way to do it that people often do in real life is burn off the thorns because the spines are effectively just curled up dried leaves their super combustible whilst the cactus and fruit have a waxy outer layer combined with super high water content are effectively completely flame retardant, so you can often stick a cactus over a fire and burn off the thorns. I'd recommend being able to get "raw" cactus that heavily damages you if you try to eat it but you can cook off the thorns on a campfire or furnace OR you can use a flint and steel to clean of the spikes like the axe. T.some one who lives in a place that lives in the place prickly pear are native too
loving that you even included some content from minecraft dungeons in the form of those end blocks and mobs. while i do think that dungeons should have its exclusive content, id love to see a few things from dungeons make their way over to minecraft
as gem once said, birch forests are already perfect, mojang knows this 🥰 jokes aside i feel like birch forests updates are _planned,_ just as part of the general long-term biome revamp project they want to roll out gradually instead of something they'd prioritize right now... but it'd be great if birch forest revamps happened this update anyway
As someone who grew up watching meerkat manor watching this video has given me sooo many ideas for cool mechanics to add for them. Meerkats tend to be family units (mom + dad + a few generations of kids) and if any females of the group get pregnant that aren't the main matriarch it's not uncommon for them to either get kicked out or have their babies killed, so in Minecraft if you wanted to breed meerkats a requirement could be to get meerkats from two different colonies and to make sure they are a certain distance away from the two og colonies, and even further away to make sure the groups can't get into fights. There'd have to be away to tell apart the parent meerkats from their kids, so maybe once two meerkats set up their own colony they get larger or something? Just so it's easier to tell them apart. Meerkats also eat bugs n stuff so their ai could be set up to attack spiders during the day time (which I feel like is also a good interaction with the fact that spiders also become passive during the day time).
i was thinking the palm tree might give you bananas that when eaten gives you peels that when place give to floor ice physics or maybe a unique interaction
I think salt could still be used with food in a few small ways. maybe it could remove the hunger and poison effects of foods like the spider eye and rotten flesh?

But I understand why they do them, it draws eyes to the game, and keeps it in the public consciousness. So maybe they should do some votes where the losers of previous votes get a second pass, a losers' bracket.
I have good news about the mob vote
Really like the idea of being able to turn cactus into leather for the people who actively avoid hurting mobs. Underrated idea honestly
YES, this has always bothered me so much!! same with wool for beds, but at least you don't have to kill the sheep for that.
Yeah Minecraft desperately needs more pacifist features and foods !
And also farming leather is SO ANNOYING. You just wander around and look for cows or waste your time wrangling them up and stuffing them in a pen. With cacti just being a pure leather source it makes collecting leather so much more reliable.
@@noizepusher7594 its not "pacifist" but, on peaceful you can atleast make a hoglin dropper in the nether
What level of vegan do you need to be before you start refusing to kill minecraft cows?
I like the meteor idea. I always thought their should be some kind of end structure in the overworld to explain how the portal frame is made out of end stone
They’ve announced the addition of camels, so maybe they’ll do the other desert update bits for 1.20 too. Really liked the salt mines, and the end meteor idea is really neat too.
They didn't do the other desert update bits for 1.20 too. :(
This is honestly all I am hoping for now. They have SO MANY missing promised features that could easily make a huge update the community will love.
Those would be some cool uses
That end idea is PHENOMENAL like genuinely so simple yet genius it would be a shame if it Wasn't used
Since you mentioned salt, I think it would be a cool detail to have Allays and Vexes have extremely negative reactions to salt, maybe Allays are scared off by it and Vexes are just outright damaged if they touch a salt block
lovely to see the video fully realized just before the minecraft live! apologies i wasn't able to help build much, i definitely would've helped more if i could (i did the and gate puzzle at 9:50, although imo that's not significant enough, if i could i would've made more stuff in the pyramid) though my week has been completely packed :(
also, 8:52 i see you're manifesting the same salt and succulent vibes as luna is
Oh yeah I couldn't not include salt and succulents hehe
I think the badlands could also have a western influence. Perhaps you could find an old ghost town or something
Great idea for a badlands village(?)
@fandroid6491 bro if they made badlands villages based off of old western towns, that'd actually be amazing, even if it wouldnt make much sense lol
I just LOVE the palm tree ideas! Stripping dyes and bouncing projectiles has a lot of potential for map building
@@MinecraftIdeasAcademy agreed! Probably drop you off at spawn or something
Maybe it could still kill you but drop your items at spawn so you can still recover them
@@MinecraftIdeasAcademy the void is meant to be punishing, youre literally proposing turning the ender dragon fight thats arleady easy into a baby difficulty fight, and it wouldnt make any sense at all for your items to magically apear on your bed after you fell into a dark abyss in a different dimension 😪
Thanks! I tried to avoid the use of the word vegan in the video for fear that it would start arguments in the comments section lol
@@MinecraftIdeasAcademy but by using pacifist instead you risk bringing in undertale fans
That's okay
@@Melecie totally different things
You're finally back! It took a long time but it was worth it!
I like how you show these ideas through multiple perspectives, more specifically from a game design one and an educational one.
Thanks! I figured it was the best way to figure out how mojang might implement them.
The meteor idea is awesome. But I loved the palm woodset, with blast and projectile resistance.
Just fully watched the vid and it's really good! Here's some of my own ideas for a backlog update for the 3 un updated biomes in this vid
Badlands: don't really have much, maybe fossils could spawn more commonly as well as being closer to the surface in the badlands biome, since in real life fossils are relatively common in badlands.
I used to use a mod that turned spiders which spawned in the desert into scorpions. Really wish that was real! Great idea
Fun ideas. End Meteorites would be fun to find. Would like to also find downed end ships in the Nether for that as well.
Thanks, I like adding onto old stuff. Helps improve its design
The t-posing vulture are the most terrifying thing ive ever seen
I love how the vultures are kinda just T posing in the air
This was super cool! Great job to everybody involved in making this video :D
Bro the vulture is doing a t-pose right there 0:52
I had to turn on subtitles during the palm tree section to understand lol. I was just sitting there like "what do you mean canibals during the revolution!?"
As someone from Mexico, I'd like to propose some things for the new cactus:
- Call it Prickly Pear (English name) or Nopal (Spanish name in Mexico)
- Call the fruits tunas (Mexican Spanish name)
- Make the pads edible, too. IRL they're cooked and then are ready for consumption. Here in Mexico they're commonly used in salads and soups, so perhaps there could be an option to mix them in with other crops in the game to make a nopal salad
It's nice to see more elements from our little corner of the world get more recognition, like axolotls and this upcoming feature, however I feel like Mojang and you to some extent (no offense) are kind of skirting around making completely solid portrayals.
Thanks for your comment! I'll keep this in mind when continuing to work on the mod.
idk how this keeps happening but i was literally checking back on your channel yesterday to see of i i had missed an upload! seriously you’re one of my favorite youtubers and your ideas inspire me a lot!!
Thank you very much! Glad to see I have been missed
Thanks so much! It was great fun to collaborate with so many talented artists, coders and builders
This was by far one of the best vanilla friendly concept videos i've ever seen, so cool! I want all of this in the game now haha
They have to do an update dedicated to adding 2 - 3 of the non voted biomes, just because of how much content it adds to the game
The updates are like the world rapidly evolving and slowly becoming a stronger ecosystem again.
I love complex crafting being accessible in the crafting table.
But agreed we should have a firework table.
These ideas are actually really cool! They fit well with Minecraft and add new and interesting functions that could easily be approved by Mojang while also benefiting the player base. Great job!
Thank you very much!
Im glad to have been there when it was recorded, the vc was a lot of fun
we don’t have ostriches in Australia we have emus. similarly large birds but endemic to Australia. we also have the lesser known more menacing cassowary
This guy's ideas are so good mojang needs to hire someone as brilliant as him
I hope Mojang goes the Cities: Skylines route and leans into its modders and community...
@@danachos their dev team already consists of a lot of modders already, not exclusively modders but a good portion still is
i feel like you’ve taken certain parts too seriously, i don’t think the whole “invasive species” part of the new cacti plant should even play a part in Minecraft at all, however i do find your idea of getting hurt when punching the new cacti rather cool as that’s what cacti did when it was first added to Minecraft, so in a way you’d be restoring a feature from alpha Minecraft
I love the ideas for the vulture companion mechanics.
I like the idea of trees growing only in certain biomes, but i think that limits minecraft a bit too much. Maybe you could make it so you have to use a special fertilizer with a hard craft in order to grow them in different biomes. Like something made out of dragons' breath.
hoping to see more of your quasilore series with all the new update has to offer in regards to each player’s storytelling abilities
I would like to make one. Maybe once 1.20 is out
Pear cactus are native to a LOT of places, from savannahs to grasslands to deserts, to beaches, to islands, and even some found in forests!
The meteorite idea is really cool.
Maybe an update to the stronghold would really be cool.
The vulture just T posing around the sky was a beautiful sight
It is amazing how much research went into this, grounding the ideas in reality, I would love all of these!
Thank you! It was mostly Wikipedia, and a few mistakes have been pointed out in the comments from people who are more familiar with some of the features.
it's awesome to have a new video from you again!!
The ideas presented in this video are really cool, and i love the vulture model lol
-----------------------------------------------------------
Encouraging transport between areas is a really interesting concept that i think Minecraft should explore more, and maybe it could even lead to an improvement to minecarts? 👀
----
OMG the badlands pyramid would be so awesome, but i think that instead of having a Nether portal, it should contain instructions/clues for how to build a Wither. The Wither is currently almost completely inaccessible to players who haven't looked at the Wiki or other external sources.
----
The meteorite idea is amazing too. Perhaps it could include a hint for how to find strongholds and enter the End?
The meteorite also fits into my crackpot theory that amethyst geodes are interdimensional holes between the Nether and the Overworld lol
The fact that amethyst geodes are mode of amethyst (a type of quartz) and basalt, is what led me to this theory.
I'd like a hint towards building the wither to be in a new nether fortress room. And interesting theory about the geodes!
@@MinecraftIdeasAcademy ah, that does makes sense for the wither
and i'm glad you found the geode theory interesting haha ^-^
also, it's really neat that you read all the comments
I love reading the comments. That's part of the reason I like to make videos!
1:35 NO WAY!!! is that a reference to the HIT VIDEO GAME team fortress 2 released by valve studios in 2007??? (After 9 years of development)???
(no but seriously is it a reference or is my mind just too far gone)
Tumours!
@@MinecraftIdeasAcademy my guy we are literally gonna live forever
Vultures protecting your death loot from despawning I think would remove all punishment from dying and will make dying just a slight annoyance/inconvenience. Not to mention that if the chunks of the death are unloaded, you can take all the time in the world getting your items already.
You still have to get your items back which may be very far away. And you'll lose most of your XP
I love these videos so much! This has really got me thinking and speculating about what might happen during Minecraft Live.
Honestly true and fair. I got to say, I have a lot of respect for you commenting on criticism like this. Kudos to you and good luck!
Thanks, I appreciate constructive criticism.
The end meteors are such an amazing idea. I haven't seen anyone think of such a thing, not even in modded minecraft. Perhaps closest is the twilight forest's progression, but your idea does it with way fewer things that need to be implemented in order for it to work.
Thanks! I was pretty proud of it too
Minecraft’s backlog is really fucking huge, like so huge that they need to add potato chips from a public poll from years ago
I don't wai you're videos much but I got to admit you did a pretty good job with all these especially the end meteorite one. Good job! It would also be nice to hear your take on the mob vote this year!
I was going to put out a video but I didn't have much to say, mostly just spreading developer messages. I ran out of time anyway lol
i absolutely LOVE the meteor idea, the rest of this vid had amazing ideas but the meteor one especially stood out to me. i never really thought about the organic aspect of everything tbh and it's definitely really interesting to think about. thank you for the ideas
You're welcome, and thanks for the praise!
You are a smart game designer. Your ideas are gold
Very cool ideas and implementation!
Thought I should mention, the 'ostriches in Australian farms' were actually emus destroying crops in farms which lead to the emu wars
the animation on the termite blocks look really cool and would be a great decoration in my wooden house!
Thanks! The numbers aren't as low as the incomplete data suggests, but I think comparing them to the nether paints a more accurate picture.
The meteorite concept is so cool! It'd help new players know about the end (and maybe contain some lore?)
End Meteors sound really cool
Loved the concept of the palmtrees making arrows bounce!
Holy crap. I wasn't sold on much of the ideas until the pyramid with lodestone one. No new blocks required but adds so much more into the game (and gives you a free lodestone, which is rather expensive).
lodestone has no reason to be that expensive imo why does it require netherite
Blockixel Artistry has a good idea for the badlands, as well as archaeology, and the two things tie in with a new item.
This is so cool ! I love the real world ties
11:43 End Meteors idea is such an amazing idea, I LOVE IT!
I really like your ideas for palm trees. The idea of saplings that produce different kinds of fruit is neat on its own, and you came up with interesting uses for the fruits as well beyond just eating. coconut pvp sounds fun. Not sure about the arrows bouncing off the wood
You've got some really really wonderful ideas, I hope they use some of them!
Wow, GEEZ! Your end idea is GENIUS! I love it dude!
Thanks very much!
4:22 I'm not the only one that misheard him there right???
It's happened before lol
Hahahahaha me too
Now I’m 2025 , with the whole warm and cold variants of mobs , I wouldn’t be surprised if the big drops of the year were a cold update and a warm update. The warm update containing these 3 , and the cold update containing an iceologer , penguin and ice spike village.
i really enjoyed the idea of plants that can only grow in certain climates & trees which act more like cool structures than a typical resource
Well that was mainly because without dungeons blocks the meteorite would look pretty bland lol
All it’s missing is the better birch forests from the wild update concept art, although I’m not sure how much of that art is still planned to be added
as gem once said, birch forests are already perfect, mojang knows this 🥰
jokes aside i feel like birch forests updates are _planned,_ just as part of the general long-term biome revamp project they want to roll out gradually instead of something they'd prioritize right now... but it'd be great if birch forest revamps happened this update anyway
They were never confirmed so I didn't bother to put them in. Also everyone else has done them to death lol
This stuff would be really cool! Thank you for this information, I found it hard to find information on meerkats
i was thinking the palm tree might give you bananas that when eaten gives you peels that when place give to floor ice physics or maybe a unique interaction
Cool to see the stuff we worked on in game :)
your ideas are always so amazing to me they inspire me to play the game more. :)
I think salt could still be used with food in a few small ways. maybe it could remove the hunger and poison effects of foods like the spider eye and rotten flesh?
