14:27 while I do think that the shipwrecks are cool. I feel like the best thing in the 1.13 uptade was (By a lot) the ability to swim, it made you actually want to explore the ocen since you could move fowards at a speed faster than 1 block per minute
He forgot that in 1.13 we have a swimming animation. We couldn't swim fast before 1.13 and it was a pain. But the update was very helpful. Also you get to go through a 1 block gap!
1.13 is my favourite update. I always thought the Minecraft oceans were boring and I always wished Mojang would update them. 1.8 kinda did that but 1.13 just made the game more lively in a way no other update could’ve done
The other great thing about enchantments requiring lapis is that now doing a max-level enchant doesn't eat all of your 30 levels, it just takes 3 but requires you to be level 30.
@anime_vibes__. i think the old combat system was broken and 1.9 was a great update becasue it required more skill and you need to choose the best weapon for each senario and trade offs of attack speed vs attack damage made combat more interesting and 1.9 shields were better becasue they didnt eliminate all damge unlike now, and the off hand has been a great addition - at least on java - and made the game much harder and more interesting to play. like, in 1.8 and prior there's like no skill at all, all that really matters is how much cps you can manage and how well you are at tracking objects. but that's just my opinion.
makes the game too easy i play 1.2.5 where the max enchant level is 50 and it eats all your levels, really makes it feel like you earned that enchanted diamond sword and makes it more valuable instead of something you grind out by day 2
One change that always get buried under the bigger changes, but was absolutely huge in my opinion is the changes made to boats. They used to be absolutely horrible, but now they actually function as boats. They don't break on impact with literally anything anymore and if you do decide to break it, you actually get the boat back instead of some planks and sticks. 10/10
I feel like armor stands shoulda definitely won 1.8 because of how much they did for people who worked with command blocks and custom maps. Also honey was definitely underrated because since they act like slime blocks that don’t stick to other slime blocks it was huge for anyone who likes redstone.
@@_Mintyz_ the new display entities basically replace a lot of features developers used them for, such as floating text, floating items, and blocks, but they're more flexible and convenient than armor stands ever were.
Not only that, but it made the game playable again in multiplayer and modded. Servers struggled to run 1.13 and 1.14, and even when forge caught up to it, there were hardly any mods made between 1.12 and 1.15 because the lag was unbearable. 1.15 wasn't meant to be a content update, it was meant to make up for mojang rewriting the game for better performance.
honestly, 1.11 was a very tricky choice to make because it implemented two very useful features: shulker boxes (mentioned in the video) and rocket boosting, a much easier was of using the elytra to travel long distances instead of punch bow.
I have a theory. The Nether wasn’t always a fiery hellscape. It was like lush caves. But then the piglins found Pigstep. When they played it, it was so fire, it turned the dimension into hell.
It's dangerous and has lots of cheating mobs.(even though zombified piglins, piglins and blazes are the only ones that cheats) But I'm not a noob. I'm a pro. We also so annoyed when sometimes the portal spawned us in random parts of the Overworld when we exit. @@ArcticFox-s1z
I always hate the nether! Reasons: Too dangerous, has the cheating mobs that I really hate(zombified piglins), can't place waters, easy to lost the nether portal,(until uses a lodestone), nether portal spawn us in a different parts of the Overworld after exit the nether, it's hard to strip mine because of the stupid lavas underground and snow golems can't survive there.(even though they can hurt blazes)
The best thing about 1.3 will always be the "Open to LAN" button to me. Playing in the same virtual space as my siblings from different computers was once a rare commodity!
1.17 was like a malformed cookie. Sure the basics are there, but it's definitely not good. 1.18 was like a cookie made with the purest grandma essence ever. It's leaps and bounds better, despite having lots of the same things, just that it's higher quality
@@zcarp8642Thank you. Not enough people realize this common sense. 1.17 was one of the worst updates and people treat it like it was one of the best because technically it added a lot when it really didn’t lol
@@jasonsenter1646As a builder I love 1.17, because you are able to use all 1.18 blocks (obv not talking about later versions) without -64 world boarder and specific deepslate levels, so it’s much easier to strip mine and find diamonds. Also, because deepslate isn’t instamined with haste 2, mining in post 1.18 is just unpleasant
As an honorable mention for Release 1.3 (1.3.1 in specific), it added the creative menu we all know and love today, with life saving categories instead of the jumbled mess of 1.2 and prior. Still remember spending ages trying to find a block instead of just searching it or looking it in a category of blocks.
My favorite part of 1.18 was The Increase of the height of the world from height limit being from Y 256 to Y 319 and minimal height being from Y0 to Y -64
Hi Omicron! I noticed that you really seemed to hate 1.15, but imo, it was a neccesary update because of the PERFORMANCE issues. 1.13 is infamous of being laggy on low-end devices without Optifine, and not only did 1.15 fix that, it also fixed several bugs, like the Alt+F4 dupe. This is something that only a little part of the community knows about, and I hope you change your view on The Buzzy Bees update.
not to mention the fact he put a music disc as the most impactful feature of 1.16 when 1.16 completely overhauled the nether, adding 2 new wood types, 4 new biomes and a plethora of new mobs and structures.
My picks: 1.0: Brewing (Potion is a fun addition) 1.1: Superflat (Making creative builds easier) 1.2: Jungle biome 1.3: Ender chest 1.4: Same as you 1.5: Same as you 1.6: Donkey (Act as an early game/pre 1.11 shulker box) 1.7: Same as you 1.8: Ocean monument 1.9: Shield 1.10: Magma block (For gold farm) 1.11: Same as you 1.12: Concrete blocks 1.13: Trident (1. Trident killer, op mob grinder for bedrock, 2. Easy way to get mob head once you get channeling) 1.14: Trading rework 1.15: Honey blocks (For redstone nerds) 1.16: Warped forest (1. Getting ender pearl from enderman if you hate bartering, 2. Warped woods) 1.17: Pointed dripstone (For infinite lava source) 1.18: Cave generation 1.19: Same as you 1.20: Same as you
Extra info on things you mentioned that I expected to be mentioned: You can use iron golems for automatic iron You can use haste 2 from beacons to instant mine stone You can use a nametag on an endermite to prevent it from despawning, making enderman farms possible I'd argue honey blocks were definitely the best feature of 1.15 since it revolutionized slimestone Also, the main reason why 1.15 appears to be so lackluster was the amount of fixed bugs, performance improvements, and Bedrock parity changes
something that not a lot of people remember is the fact that originally, you could not attack AT ALL during the attack cooldown for 1.9, but this was changed almost immediately because people hated it so much
from what I remember in 1.9 coming out was that my friend and I would laugh our ass off from just switching from a sword to an axe or pickaxe. due to the slow movements of the other tools (from the attack cooldown) we found it difficult to contain out laughter, and it was the funniest shit in minecraft for several days@@hiddlestunned
I think I started playing Minecraft since a little before the 1.12 update, and when 1.12 came, the ability to have beds that were not red was an amazing discovery to me
I don't even know in which update it was introduced but the recipe / crafting book is a godsend even for us veteran players. With the rapidly growing number of recipes you have to memorize and some tedious stuff you have to craft a lot of its a great way to safe you some time and braincells lmao, It's also really helpful for all the new players. I even love how you can only see the recipes you unlocked and not all of them immediately when you create a new world, which could spoil the fun and also overwhelm the player
In additon I would love for them to include a note book you can craft like a shield and then equip to a inventory slot.... I feel like not enough games especially open world games have a feature to write something down.... I always get distracted and lose sight of the materials I was looking for.
cave biomes were added in 1.17, i believe that's what he meant. In his description of 1.18, he says "in this update is when caves finally started going down to y -64". He should have specified new cave "biomes" instead, even thought that still is classified as generation
@@TheLucas0828 I still think he was confused, 1.17 included the majority of the new blocks like amethyst and the moss family, but no biomes were added. Geodes formed, were commonly spotted in the ocean due to lack of space underground, and the moss family of blocks could only be bonemealed after you found some in a shipwreck or mineshaft. Axolotls were added too…(There was a bug that they spawned in the end dimension if water was present, it was hilarious) Basically 1.17 added 70% of any features that didn’t involve terrain generation in the sm caves and cliffs update. Part 1 introduced most mechanics, part 2 gave the terrain generation
Yeah, ima be honest I kinda botched the difference between 1.17 and 1.18, it was kind of confusing with all the snapshots before 1.18 that were "technically" 1.17, I eventually just did one of "caves" and one of "cliffs" lol
@@mien1216 Technically speaking, the new cave gen *was* added in 1.17. It was just moved to a datapack halfway through the snapshot cycle. If you enabled the datapack when creating a 1.17 world, you could get a WIP version of the new caves.
I think that in 1.20 armor trims are definitly best feature. They added a new level of exitment for exploring all of old and new structures + they just look cool af
One of my favorite features/changes in 1.18 are finally having interconnected rivers. for many years If you wanted to connect a lake to the ocean you had to do a lot of terraforming.
My favorite 1.20 addition is definitely the raft. Or as some people rather, BamBoat. As boats being some of the most overpowered early game items, having a new variant of it that just looks amazing is awesome.
I’m probably gonna be the only person on earth who says this, but my favourite addition of 1.12 was Concrete. Having a decorative block that’s purely just the colour (and not extremely off like terracotta) is lowkey invaluable if you enjoy the building side of Minecraft
A little correction, u can get shulker boxes in survival without killing the enderdragon, but it will consume a lot of lifetime 😅 because you'll buildig a very very long bridge to the nearest island from the end center
@@Xenorvya Thats true. I just wanted to mention it is possible. Its not about making sense. I did because i was on a 2 player Server and we wanted together fight the ender dragon. I had more time to play at this time as my colleg so i build a veeeerrrryyyy long bridge. Useless but fun :-).
I know it's been extended even more since then, but 1.2 upping the height limit was so so so so good at the time, it felt amazing to finally build that large

My favorite feature from 1.13 is probably the turtle shell. It's an item that requires animal interaction that's deeper than killing it. The shell itself appeals to both early players with the water breathing, and late players with the turtle master potion. It's very versatile, but it's sadly overlooked.
As someone that works with a lot of the cosmetic side of minecraft, the Texture update in 1.14 has to be my favorite. Raids are great and provide a lot of opportunity and fun features, but as I work primarily in creative, it doesn't stand out as much to me.
I am 31 and played waaay back in the day. Getting all these updates at once has been SO fun. I can only play when my kids are asleep but it’s fun escapism still.
@@borgnut7243 Wait, how´d you get netherite armor and stuff before? You ONLY needed netherite ingots? No Netherite Blueprint? What he said: 1.0) The End 1.1) Bow Enchantments 1.2) Iron Golems 1.3) Trading 1.4) Beacons 1.5) Hopper 1.6) Name Tag 1.7) Roofed Forests 1.8) Role of Lapis in Enchanting 1.9) Elytras 1.10) Endermen Spawning in the Nether 1.11) Shulker Boxes 1.12) Parrots 1.13) Phantoms and Shipwrecks 1.14) Raids 1.15) Iron Golems Displaying Health (cracks) 1.16) Pigstep Disc 1.17) New Cave Generation(?) 1.18) Jagged Peaks 1.19) Ancient Cities 1.20) Cherry Blossoms
As someone who played since before Minecraft had its name, I can say with assurance that out of everything, the most memorable update for me was the 1.5 hopper. Many survival servers had just basic protection of doors and chests, disallowing certain building radiuses to be destroyed by anyone who wasn't the host. But one KEY feature went so overlooked when the hopper dropped. every single chest that was locked for me, could have a hopper placed under it and drained entirely. I went to every single server I frequented as a kid, and drained EVERYONE of their resources that I could find. All the way till I drained an admin on my main server, while he was online. So many good memories, and being the richest person on one of the biggest servers at the time, was phenomenal.
Tbh, there are only few choices that I would pick differently. First would be Parrots. If we have to keep ourself to one single feature (so no just colour) - Concrete for me is the more significant thing out of that whole update, because of how it makes builds even more unique and personal, without additional wool texture; it expands use for gravel and sand and it's also not as extreme looking as Glazed Terracotta. I would also consider to maybe pick Scaffolding over Raids, due to its utility. Having a quickly destructable climbable block changes a lot of how the building in Survival looks like, not to mention it's simpler to use than ladders and allows for vertical movement as well. And it also expands use for strings. Its also hard to not pick one of the new utility blocks as well. Stone-cutter is so good. Barrels, Composers are all super significant additions here. But then again Raids do add immersion to Villages. For Nether Update - I would just go for Biomes. Making Nether look good and unique was the most impactful thing that makes you want to go back to it. But I can live with Pigstep representing the whole update. Because almost every element of this whole update has been super significant. For Caves and Cliffs - aside Cave Generation, for me the changes to Ore and Gems generation has been the biggest change. It sounds insignificant - but it made me actually explore the world more to find the places where some ores are more easily to find. Going super high, but also mining extremely low made my gameplay change a lot and it affected how my bases has looked as well, due to how my mines are planned. It's also one of the most beautiful updates we had in the whole game. Mountains and broad unique caves really changed how this game has been looking. It's not a flat game with dirt-blocks and trees. It's extremely vertical game (I know it was always like that, but it feels like it finally - it created the immersion level I needed to see this game as proper representation of real world). For 1.20 at the moment I am more into Customisation changes (Trims, changes to Netherite and so and so). But also new Ruins looks so fun.
I can’t believe you said honey blocks aren’t too significant 😂 they change red stone forever edit: just to clarify I respect everyone’s opinion I just found it hilarious that a video about what features have the most impact managed to absolutely side line the most impactful feature in the update with a minor golem mechanic 😂 of course there were a few other features that he chose that I didn’t agree with but that was just because he would talk about how later updates would give the highlighted feature more use rather than focusing on the original feature in the initial update, however it’s just a minor gripe and I’m sure would’ve taken a lot more time to research and fact check to make the video.
@@HotPocketsDryerLint👁️👄👁️ actually I personally wish the team made more small updates so it would feel like Minecraft was ever so slightly changing from every few months or so😂
1.17 added all the new blocks as trades from the Wandering Trader, in chests, and some patches of tuff, glow lichen, amethyst, and dripstone would spawn in the world. 1.18 changed the world gen
I agree with all of them except 1.13 1.14 1.16. While shipwrecks were amazing 1.13 also added one of the best features ever swimming. For 1.14 I feel like you completely overlooked this part and that’s… the much needed texture update which polished and gave all the textures a fresh new look. Which is my second favourite update right behind 1.16. And while pigstep is the best music disc to ever touch minecraft it’s more of a meme then an actual helpful thing which is why I give this to piglins making Minecraft way more lively in the nether with their human like actions and there “amazing” trades. Great video keep up the good work!
on my ps3, the newest update i currently have is 1.13. its very nostalgic to see when i started playing and what changes i missed when i was younger and didnt understand quite much about "updates" or gaming in general
The bees polinating crops and the honey blocks functions in contraptions makes it a very good update imo. But outside of the farming benefits the honey block stuff is failry niche but powerful As a person who builds very aesthetically, can't remember which update. Could have been 1.16, adding having regular chest next to regular chests was a game changer. More compact storage and not having to have a block gap was nice.
My diff opinions...is right here! ↓ 1.8 Ocean Monuments 1.10 Ice Spikes Biom 1.12 Blocks 1.13 Coral Biome 1.14 Villager blocks for jobs 1.15 "Bugs and Bees Update" - optimalization definitely 1.16 Biomes 1.18 Removed high-limit for datapacks and mods and larger high-limit (-64-320... +128), but New Generation is rly great too. BTW they split it bcs is much easier add new things then adjust old things.
These videos make me feel so old. I mean it felt like a year ago when I first started playing Minecraft myself in Beta 1.5. Back then a classmate sent me the exe and we just played for hours and days nonstop next to each other. Then when they added LAN mode in 1.3 it was the best thing. My Brother and I played SO MUCH together. It was incredible. And here we are. 12 years after I first touched Minecraft myself and 13 years after I saw my first Minecraft lets play.
I know many people hated 1.9, but honestly I love the updates it brought to combat. Now I don’t play PVP games (nor do I play Hypixel at all) but I think 1.9 was one of the best updates ever. The shields, critical hits, AOE damage, I find all of these useful.
For the Name tags, there is also another thing where if you were to name like a rare zombie creature or something in the game, The name tag prevents it from de-spawning, which is also a cool thing.
I genuinely don't understand why people don't like the 1.9 combat update's Attack Delay. That mechanic is just SO much more interesting than just mindless spamming of left click! The fact that a stone axe does as much damage as a diamond sword doesn't even bother me since the delay is so damn long! Swords STILL have an advantage at the same material level, and shields only make that nuance deeper. I love the combat update, no exceptions
This should give you a general idea of why people love 1.8 combat, if you actually want to understand the other sides point of view. this is not meant to start an argument, i play 1.19 for all my SMPs, and 1.8.9 for chill fun pvp. People primarily don't like the attack delay because it made multiplayer pvp gamemodes less fun. The appeal of 1.8 combat was that it was simple enough that anyone could pick it up quickly, but skilled players could still decimate their opponents. part of the magic was that you could get on with friends of varying skill levels and all have fun. as long as a new player could sprint towards a target and click, they could deal damage and contribute to a team effort, and let the more skilled player take on 2 opponents, with one already weakened. With current combat mechanics, a new player will be unable to deal damage to an opponent that is more skilled, if they simply have a shield. And now the only way for a skilled player to win against 2 players with basic game knowledge is for the skilled player to run away, occasionally trying to surprise their opponents by turning around and landing a single hit, which is needless to say, not very fun to play against. This made 1.8 combat more fun in team minigames, because you could play with anyone who owned the game, and still be competent. This is why there are few popular 1.9+ minigame servers in java edition (bedrock edition has no hit delay, and has many large popular minigame servers). Mojang made 1.9 combat for survival worlds, and fighting mobs. and it does that much better than anything else we have seen. And this explains the rise of many large public SMPs (lifesteal). also, both versions have respectable 1v1 pvp servers. Also, a major difference is the playstyle that each version promotes. 1.8 combat was much faster paced, because if your opponent misses a swing, you only have a fraction of a second until they can attack again, which means you have to constantly be on your toes, never letting your guard down. In contrast, in 1.9 combat, if your oppenent misses a swing, you know you have a 0.625-1 second pause in combat, which makes the combat much slower paced. Also, with the addition of shields, a player can stand still and not take damage, allowing for a much slower playstyle. In 1.8, if you stand still, you WILL die. the combat was just much faster paced. Additionally, 1.8 combat was not just spam click based. it was very much movement based. a player clicking 2 cps can do the same damage as a player clicking 20, if they have good movement. 1.8 skill was based much more on how you moved, and how you gave knockback. To be successful, you needed to actively strafe and sprint reset, and know when to jump crit safely when they wont hit you, move backwards to dodge their hits, or use a rod/egg/bow to neutralize the opponents momentum and gain the initiative. The timing in 1.8 combat was much more fluid and dynamic over the course of a fight. In contrast, 1.9 combat is much more based on a rigid timing, and watching for gaps in your opponents defense. both require immense amounts of skill to master, but 1.8 combat is much more fluid and fast paced. Overall, people liked 1.8 combat because it was more fun in a multiplayer minigame scenario, much faster paced, and easy to learn but difficult to master. And that is why i play newer versions for SMPs, but whenever i want to play with my friends and have fun, i hop on hypixel. now PERSONALLY i just think it should be a gamerule to toggle between. /gamerule doAttackCooldown (why can't we just have this mojang?!!!)
@@sabenator2770 Never considered that actually! I would tend to disagree on the "Easy to pick up" part of it, but eh, it doesn't truly matter The gamerule idea is such a good one hh
For someone who doesn't like 1.8 PVP, they would say it's just mindless spam clicking. And for people who don't like the 1.9 combat system, they would just say that it's just slow and boring. But even though I like the 1.9+ combat system more, here is my unbiased POV and I'll list both the PROs and CONs of both. 1.8 PVP - Pros - It's fast paced - You can block - It's simpler 1.8 PVP CONs - It's less open to casuals - If you're not a fast enough clicker then you won't do as well - You can't hold items in your other hand 1.9 PROs - Cooldown makes hits more satisfying - It makes PVE actually fun - You can hold things like food and buckets in your off hand 1.9 CONs - Tipped arrows are stupid - Shields can be seen as OP due to them deflecting all damage (I'll finish this later, I have to reboot my pc)
Beacons are great and all but I'm surprised they were chosen over command blocks, which were also introduced in 1.4. Command blocks were revolutionary for mapmaking and huge for the game in general. Also, for 1.13, arguably a bigger feature for the game overall would be either the new swimming mechanics or bubble columns.
I remember playing Minecraft when I was like 6 and it just had one type of wood, one bed colour, and when you made a world in creative and put stuff in your chest, it would disappear in survival…it really changed a lot
To my mind, the best part of 1.14 is a new texture pack added. While watching this video when the author was showing 1.8 gameplay, I was lioe "What' wrong with this sand texture?!".
I remember playing since before 1.5. Don't remember when exactly but I know it was before the horses were added. It was really fun experiencing each of the updates as they came out. My most memorable experience being when Endermen were added. I remember being so terrified of them XD
1.14 introduced the recipe book. It was the first version I played, and I was always worried about having to look up how to craft everything, so having the recipe book was a pleasant surprise. And even if you already know the recipes, it's still a great addition because it saves time by not having to place each item
Honestly the Sculk in general is one of the coolest additions in recent updates. The Warden, Ancient Cities, all of it is just so fantastical and mysterious. Its very unique and pretty much completely original to Minecraft, and its mystery elements are very good at inspiring creativity.
With Minecraft 1.15, you missed the best thing about it which changed the game. Honey Blocks. They act like slime blocks but they don't stick to slime blocks making them super useful for massive piston doors, flying machines (that can be used for farming in some cases) and way more!

Hoppers are pretty handy!
1.11 This update is amazing, they added shulker boxes, totem of immortality and the possibility to use the rockets to boost the elytras
17:58 No, that's the 1.18 part. So "cave generation" is a 1.18 feature
I like this style of content, much more laid back and chill :]

The wither: am I a joke to you?

I can’t believe you said honey blocks aren’t too significant 😂 they change red stone forever
edit: just to clarify I respect everyone’s opinion I just found it hilarious that a video about what features have the most impact managed to absolutely side line the most impactful feature in the update with a minor golem mechanic 😂 of course there were a few other features that he chose that I didn’t agree with but that was just because he would talk about how later updates would give the highlighted feature more use rather than focusing on the original feature in the initial update, however it’s just a minor gripe and I’m sure would’ve taken a lot more time to research and fact check to make the video.

I think the best addition from 1.19 are the upcoming 1.19.4 interaction and display entities... But I like mapmaking and data pack making 😝
What about the enchanting changes? No longer requiring 50 levels, only uses 3/30 and the thing you mentioned about lapis gaining a use.
O yea forget about it
For the Name tags, there is also another thing where if you were to name like a rare zombie creature or something in the game, The name tag prevents it from de-spawning, which is also a cool thing.
I can really see the effort put into this.
I would tend to disagree on the "Easy to pick up" part of it, but eh, it doesn't truly matter
The gamerule idea is such a good one hh
For someone who doesn't like 1.8 PVP, they would say it's just mindless spam clicking. And for people who don't like the 1.9 combat system, they would just say that it's just slow and boring. But even though I like the 1.9+ combat system more, here is my unbiased POV and I'll list both the PROs and CONs of both.
1.8 PVP - Pros
- It's fast paced
- You can block
- It's simpler
1.8 PVP CONs
- It's less open to casuals
- If you're not a fast enough clicker then you won't do as well
- You can't hold items in your other hand
1.9 PROs
- Cooldown makes hits more satisfying
- It makes PVE actually fun
- You can hold things like food and buckets in your off hand
1.9 CONs
- Tipped arrows are stupid
- Shields can be seen as OP due to them deflecting all damage
(I'll finish this later, I have to reboot my pc)
Beacons are great and all but I'm surprised they were chosen over command blocks, which were also introduced in 1.4. Command blocks were revolutionary for mapmaking and huge for the game in general.
Also, for 1.13, arguably a bigger feature for the game overall would be either the new swimming mechanics or bubble columns.
Swimming is the most underrated feature added to minecraft.
Change my mind.

I remember playing Minecraft when I was like 6 and it just had one type of wood, one bed colour, and when you made a world in creative and put stuff in your chest, it would disappear in survival…it really changed a lot
“Because GODDAMN that looks gorgeous” 21:17
It’s REAL beauty 🌸
The best part of 1.14 was the texture change :)
Nah, I hate the new textures
17:29 probably one of the most stupidest sentences I've ever heard lmao
To my mind, the best part of 1.14 is a new texture pack added. While watching this video when the author was showing 1.8 gameplay, I was lioe "What' wrong with this sand texture?!".
I really underestimated when I actually joined Minecraft. It was around the very beginning, probably 1.3 or 1.4, which makes me feel old.
Duuude same here reading these comments saying they joined after 1.13 makes me feel weird and senile
that's like 2012 not really the very beginning. the game became popular during the alpha and beta versions of 2010-2011
great vid, only disagree with 1.15, honey is insane for people that build redstone contraptions
He is not a redstone engineer
Thing I love about 1.13 is tridents. They did as much damage as diamond swords and you could throw then
they are slower
I remember playing since before 1.5. Don't remember when exactly but I know it was before the horses were added. It was really fun experiencing each of the updates as they came out. My most memorable experience being when Endermen were added. I remember being so terrified of them XD
Yep, I started playing in 1.4.7 and the amount of progress Minecraft has made since then is insane.
I started playing since around 1.4.2, since I remember there being withers and stuff, but no nether quartz or horses.
I know i love mining on cave and cliff when 1.17 update is my favourite update because space of hole cave much bigger easier to explore as ore
A lot of these shocked me how late in development these updates came out. i thought trading with villagers and colored beds were a thing before 1.0
15:30 he forgot to mention the fact that raids can take up to half an hour or more if they spawn in caves
I think that happened one time while I was recording my footage LOL, that would make sense

1.15 came not only with honey and honey blocks, but Mojang also rewrote the entire lighting system. Good choice of best part tho :)
12:11 what happen to the sheep😂😂😂
1.14 introduced the recipe book. It was the first version I played, and I was always worried about having to look up how to craft everything, so having the recipe book was a pleasant surprise. And even if you already know the recipes, it's still a great addition because it saves time by not having to place each item
Honestly the Sculk in general is one of the coolest additions in recent updates. The Warden, Ancient Cities, all of it is just so fantastical and mysterious. Its very unique and pretty much completely original to Minecraft, and its mystery elements are very good at inspiring creativity.
11:42 I thought that was part of the 1.16 nether update
With Minecraft 1.15, you missed the best thing about it which changed the game. Honey Blocks. They act like slime blocks but they don't stick to slime blocks making them super useful for massive piston doors, flying machines (that can be used for farming in some cases) and way more!
8:53, spruce looks the best
It’s a opinion
@@DavidooKolaspruce looks the best
@@cookiezandcream5434 once agian, it’s a opinion 🤦
The best of 1.13 to me is without a question: Waterlogging
I've always hated it how ugly slabs and fences looked when under water.
