@William-w6f Exactly. A lot of these other companies over spent and over expanded during covid, it wasn't sustainable and sadly it meant a lot of people lost their jobs because of short sighted executives.

Pokémon should just be Pokémon, not Persona or whatever it is not. Pokémon was fine when being Japanese it once was with attractive characters and immersive regions. Changes are only fine when they help improve the gameplay like having different ways to get and interact with Pokémon and even the characters. I don't care if the graphics are like an anime since those help save memory size to allow extra gameplay content, in which how Mew was created in the first place.
If you be real its not a real quality dip its jus missing features and all pokemon and its not keeping up fast enough with other games of this time we just arent kids anymore and dont use our imagination as much as we did as kids
What would pair nicely with this development is if the scope of the game also focused on the area shown; just the one very large city with clearly designated sections to it. It might look better since Pokemon has an easier time with modeling artificial things vs. natural ones, and it might have more neatly organized content to fill that space and not have trainers standing out in a random spot in the open field.
I'm worried about your credibility now that you said you loved scarlet and violet....
