  • I needed something to lift some bigger things around the shop..... so I modified my engine hoist to do the trick!!

    That was pretty clever! I like that it still has the Standard width capacity so that you can still store it.
    With the encapsulated design and the cross bracing you shouldn’t need to add rollers. Doing so would make moving it around more awkward. Those stands don’t maneuver well under load, with four wheels. Six might be a beast to move.

      Thanks, when I’m working outside is the summer lifting things normally isn’t an issue. Excavators and skidsteers help then lol. But in my garage I only have 8 ft ceilings, so this hopefully will do the trick.
      I was worried about flex at the joint when I put weight on, but now that it’s built I don’t think I will need the either.
