I like the way you mounted the tires. This solves an issue I was having.

That mod increased the usefulness of that crane a lot. Well done. ¡gracias por compartir!

I can already see someone making this in a kit form and making a lot of money selling it

I work outside all the time and this idea would be very useful for me. Thanks.

Super cool mods for the hoist. Now it becomes a very versatile crane.

I need to do this I have the engine hoist and only used it a few times and had to put plywood under the steel wheels. Shame is I had some old lawn tractors/riding mowers, but got rid of them. Now that I have your idea I will be shopping for used parts. Thanks for sharing!

I have the exact same crane and always intended to put bigger wheels on, and never got around to it. Another option is to take the steering wheels off, and put a tow hitch there that attaches to a lawn tractor.

You will need the steering wheels on to tow it, otherwise the crane will not turn corners. Watch... ruclips.net/video/GsvTwjLYpWQ/видео.html

Wow!! Super cool rig you have made. I've got to have one. I was surprised to see these tires handling rocks this heavy. I pittle with a lot of heavy stuff outside and see a great value in having this rig. Thank you for sharing this video.

Similar to what I am planning to do with mine. I have just over an acre.

Great. I would attach it to a car or lawn tractor to stop it rolling downhill as soon as you lift a big rock... otherwise it could be quite dangerous. At minimum you'd need brakes on it, but if you want to pick up rocks and move them, then the starting and stopping need just as much thought as the lifting

I have been using this rig for 3 years now. No. It doesn't roll downhill on its own. Yes, I pull it around with a lawn tractor. And no, With so much weight pulling down on it, it pretty much holds its ground. I love this machine, and if you ever modify one for yourself, you will too!
