- I can stop playing TGM1 now lmao
Apart from some very funny sequences of unfortunate events, this run was very clear overall, i'd say even better than my non-20G run. It's pretty slow for a 20G run, but that's most likely due to dealing with those misdrops and playing ultra careful from 300 to 500 to make sure I hit the score requirement. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it but I don't know if I'll ever be bothered to do it again so I wanted to make any potential run count lol Игры
It’s good to see that even people who are good at Tetris eventually hit a point in this game where it’s just complete damage control and crisis management. Makes me feel a lot better whenever things go to hell at S2.
yeah whether it's because the piece RNG is not cooperating or because of screwing up the inputs, it's pretty common to have to recover in this game for me, especially in 20g with the very restricted movement
And I think that's true even if you look at, like, KAN or someone of his caliber. One of the big hallmarks of being a really good player in games like this (IMO, as someone who is just about competent but has lots of room for improvement) is learning mistakes and the proper ways to recover from them. All the other meta is just time and experience, once you have a really good feel for the game system, it clicks into place.
t. TGM2+ T.A. Death Lvl 407, Master S3 Lvl 799
I would have cried, panicked and pissed my pants at least 3 times in this run, especially with no SRS to hold my hand and tell me it's going to be okay. Good thing you're built different.
*Looking at this and nodding my head as if I know what's going on* *also occasionally shaking my head because I would've put a piece somewhere else*
i'm glad this is top tier interactive content
Honestly really awesome seeing you and Wumbo be playing this game XD Wumbo's got a lot to learn from you, you handled a lot of choices and mistakes incredibly well~
i'm better than wumbo no way
@@Oshisaure yeah, at least looking at his videos he's yet to hit 700 levels. He starts to struggle once he hits 400, and as of currently the highest he's reached is S6
@@bramble553 yeah i checked his last video and everything fell apart pretty much as he hit 20g, with how strong his early game seems to be though if he learns how to play well in 20g there's potential there for really good scores/times
@@Oshisaure Yeah, tbh I believe it might be that he's not as used to retro Tetris as you are.
I used to watch you a shit ton when I went through my PPT phase a few years ago. Glad to see you're still playing, and on such a high level too lmao
I haven't watched this channel in like 2 years, but I'd like to thank you for inspiring me to get into Tetris all those years ago with the PPT videos, godspeed oshisaure
11:40, there's a world where it happened, but congrats on Gm'ing both modes!
Man, I gotta learn this 20g arika stacking style. You got trolled by the queue a couple times and still kept a clean stack. Nicely done
Also keeping a 3-well on the left to keep it open for I pieces was insane, and that conversion to a right well just baffled me WTF
OSHI
WHAT DA FAKU
HOW ARE YOU THIS GOOD?!
I counted like 50 times i would have game over'd
litterally how???
this game is what got me into taking tetris more seriously like 7 years ago
That's a really good attempt right there. If you'd like to see the fastest 20G run, I'd highly recommend you to check out 777's runs on TGM1 20G mode.
I also hate the fact that I can't spin the I piece on the left side
Second verse, same as the first, winner does not use the emulator and never clone
I made it to S3 on my 3rd try and then my board went to hell when the line got stuck. I retried and was hit with 3 O's in a row. It's too fun to stop though. Hopefully I can join GM one day, too
you'll be able to with enough perseverance, i believe in you!
huge
5:40 i gasped
i did more than gasp when it happened to me i genuinely whined complaining it was over but then it wasn't
hey i'm wondering whether your old nullpomino videos are private or deleted - i kinda miss a lot of those old ones, and if they're just private it'd be cool to have them back up
they've been deleted and at this point I'd rather remake the more interesting ones but I've been caught up in other projects and life stuff so i dunno when I'll get to it sorry
i wish i still had them privated so i could just unprivate them but without going into details about why i did that it was a panic move and i took the nuclear option
Yo Lilla, which controller do you use to play Tetris on the Switch? And do you think docked or handheld mode is easier?
I was using a pro controller, and i was playing docked to be able to record, not sure if handheld makes any difference though
Will you be playing TGM 2/3 if they ever give those modern ports?
i might give them a try but I don't enjoy them as much as tgm1 so we'll see if i get something i can make a video of
@@Oshisaure i.e. only if she can go for secret GM
@@rocketlanterns that's most likely for TGM3 lmao
I just got gm grade for the first time ever in this 20g mode so it counts as a legit first gm right?
I would say so because it's a harder than the standard mode, congrats!!
I thought 20G mode would be great for practice but I cant get past level 100 with it :,D getting GM is so impressive
20G in general is a huge hurdle in this game. It does help with practice to play in 20G mode but starting a run is sometimes difficult from a completely empty field. keep at it, you got this!
@@Oshisaure thanks ^^ The rotation system is mainly the problem, it's really impressive how you manage to use it here to fix mistakes. It's hard to remember when you can kick pieces and when you cant :P
@@Ursi_ the basic rule is that every piece other than I tries to kick one right or one left, however when the pieces are facing up their "default" location is one cell lower than you'd expect, which probably causes more of the failed rotation attempts. For the I piece it's pretty hard to rotate it once it's landed, so try and buffer rotations for that
@@Oshisaure thank you :D
what are you playing on?
Switch with a pro controller
