A great start to the new year Brian 😊👍👍 Lovely Dunhill pipe…and …those morta blocks will make great pipes too 😄 Irish flake is too strong for me..the nic hit blows my head off 💥😆🚀 I like the rich dark kentucky taste with aniseed…maybe I can dilute it with some Prince Albert 🤔 Have a great week my’ol mate and enjoy the snow too 🌨️⛷️❄️🛷☃️
I'm envious of the snow! So far, we haven't had any in Louisville, just cold, rainy and gray for the first week of 2024. I love those Dunhills. What gets a White Spot lately leaves a lot to be desired. As for the Irish Flake, I'll pass. Always good to see you, my friend!
I like Irish Flake Brian. So much I have stocked up even with aged tins. That Dunhill Prince looks awesome. I was lucky to buy a '59 G4 and I like it. Cheers, Janez
I've always said, if its going to be cold then it might as well snow! I wish we were getting some of that. We are just below the snow line and are now getting nothing but a very cold rain. Just bought your morta pipe and can't wait to smoke it! Gorgeous!
Morning Brian. Love the Dunhill with the Cumberland stem. There are so many blends I would love to try if I could tolerate Virginias. The new storm moving across United States is going to hit Oklahoma Monday. I love the snow, but a lot of people here and in Arkansas where I’m from just do not know how to drive in it. When I reached driving age, my dad would take me out to the football stadium and teach me how to drive in snow in the parking lot 😂😂. I’ve also lived in Colorado Springs and Flagstaff. People have a hard time believing that a city in Arizona would get 150 inches of snow every season. But Flagstaff is over 6000 feet above sea level. Hope you enjoy your football. See you next week.
If that tin of Irish Flake is 7 years old, then you'll notice quite a distinct difference from that newer tin. During the whole Peterson/Dunhill rejigger, the blend for Irish Flake apparently changed. The newer blend is more dark fired Kentucky forward and doesn't have that licorice taste to it. It's one of my favorite blends of all time, to smoke on its own and to mix with Virginias and VaPers
I just got a tin from my Secret Santa, I'll be reviewing it in a couple weeks. We are getting our first snow of the year today so far about 3 inches. Thanks for your thoughts.
Great review Brian. Thank you for a great review. I literally was about to grab a tin if this last week, but pulled the trigger on the “oak” instead. Given this review… I’ll still need to get this one as well 😂. Happy sipping, Z~
Of the similar blends you mentioned, Irish Flake is the only one locally available. I quite like it, simple, bit of strength to it - fire and forget! If the providence was provable, would you have bid big for Jack's estate dunhill?!
I have a plow for my truck but I also have a snow blower just in case. I definitely prefer using the truck because it takes way less time and I can smoke my pipe!
I heard through the grapevine that the contract between Kopp and Dan allows a grace period of a couple of years whereby Dan can continue to offer HU tobaccos before Kopp take over those blends.

Thanks my friend it’s pretty watching it fall until the driveway and walkway needs cleaned
Congrats on 5K subscribers!
Thanks my friend appreciate it

Thanks so much my friend really appreciate it will ship Monday morning
Had this today for first time !! It's all blackberries and dark chocolate! Unreal blend ! Thanks for encouraging me to buy a tin.
Your welcome it’s on the strong side but good
We had our first snow yesterday also. A couple of inches. Most of it has melted today but we may have more to come. 💨💨
It’s definitely pretty but glad when spring gets here

I’ll have to give it another try cause I like DFK
Irish Flake is one of my all time favorites, but I rarely smoke it. It's so simple but the topping and Kentucky are almost a perfect flavor for me.
It’s a good one but I do like Bold Kentucky much better

We ended up getting less than that but turned to ice , more coming next week have to love winter 😂

It’s good but I definitely prefer Bold Kentucky or ODF
That Irish Flake is tasty stuff. If I couldn’t get ODF or Bold Kentucky in bulk it’d be a go-to.
I like it just not as much as ones you mentioned, have a great week
Hi Brian, I have got a bid in on ebay for a Dunhill group 2 shell briar I will keep you posted, nice little apple shape.

I passed on the pipes but was very cool for sure
I was sure I’d subbed to your channel well I’ve rectified that now.
My phone will not let me see who subs me only comments for some reason
👍
I think that I’d have more appreciation for snow if I didn’t have 800 feet of driveway to keep clear! 😂
Wow 800’ dang mine is like 100 but wide , hope you have a snow blower or a plow
I have a plow for my truck but I also have a snow blower just in case. I definitely prefer using the truck because it takes way less time and I can smoke my pipe!
If it snows here, I wont go outside haha We here dont know snow.
Love watching the snow fall but hate the mess
@@beans316 I wish I can see snow fall. It always looks very pretty
I heard through the grapevine that the contract between Kopp and Dan allows a grace period of a couple of years whereby Dan can continue to offer HU tobaccos before Kopp take over those blends.
I hope so I definitely want to stock up on a couple favorites
Let me guess. Copyright strike on the original?
Yep 😂
@@beans316 Hmm go figure LOL
Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat with IF. It's OK, but not my favorite by any means.
Have a great weekend!
Thanks my friend
