A lot of the people they recruited are victims. Greiger lost his family and friends, Misty lost her brother and nearly died in a car accident, Carly fell out of a building after getting pushed away by Jack, Kalin lost his friends, you could even say that Roman had issues in regards to having both marks on his body and having the two forces tear him apart, Rex lost his brother to darkness. The only one who _wasn't_ a victim was Devack.
Key point to duel: always be sure to help your friends in their most dire situation. Even if they believe you are wrong, know you are doing the right thing by helping them.

Mr. Unknown but he held on due to his deck, even in the sub. It gave him the strength to survive. Then they took it and he lost the will to live anymore.
Considering how big of a sport pro dueling is and Crow's motivations to give the kids in his care decks so they could duel and be respected like he was, I could see someone losing the will to live if they lost their's permentantly.
Now thinking about it. Kalin was probably the most powerful and dangerous dark signer. His combo into ultimately summoning his Earth Bound Immortal from the start would throw a wrench into anybody not named Yusei. If it wasn't for the personal grudge between Him and Yusei he could've trumped everyone there.

Man. Yusei and the others went through a lot defeating the dark signers. Usually the bad guys plans are thrawted before anything really bad happens but they already are seeing so many friends and loved ones being taken left and right. I know the dub is questionable in a lot of ways, but Yusei's VA nails it. I love his passion, anger, quips, and even sadness.

I thought by the time this aired they got better at catching animation errors like that one, but guess I was mistaken.
Kalin clearly never got the picture. Sector Security wasn’t just some other duel gang. Even if they had beaten them that night, nothing would’ve changed. Security would’ve just kept coming after them again and again (like Trudge did to Yusai) until they finally lost!
I mean to be fair this is YuGiOh a series in which one of the main Characters after having a bad day took over and entire world using his deck so more ridicules things did happen in this series before. Also as Kalin was apparently Okay with killing the beaten officers would New Domino City eventually run out of personal that would even dare to go to the Satellit were Cops go to die. So if there could have keep winning (which given that main Character dueling powers would more then likely allow) could there technically lead a successful gorilla war against Sector Security.

@@DownloadARevolt20 tbh Kalin legit dies (or something along the lines of the shadows killing him) so yea it's pretty clear since Yusei walks away alive and he over killed Kalin (if he didnt hit 0 LP the duel would not have ended and it could have been ruled as a tie if Kalin can no longer ride and for that rule blame their first duel as signers)

@12:31 Just found Transformers Generation 1 level screw up of the likes similar to giving Soundwave or Megatron a purple Autobot symbol instead of a Decepticon symbol; in this case it is that Kalin’s Dark Signer Mark is Crimson Dragon Signer Mark neon Red instead of Dark Signer Mark neon Violet/Purple. I thought by the time this aired they got better at catching animation errors like that one, but guess I was mistaken.

Kalin clearly never got the picture. Sector Security wasn’t just some other duel gang. Even if they had beaten them that night, nothing would’ve changed. Security would’ve just kept coming after them again and again (like Trudge did to Yusai) until they finally lost!
I mean to be fair this is YuGiOh a series in which one of the main Characters after having a bad day took over and entire world using his deck so more ridicules things did happen in this series before.
Also as Kalin was apparently Okay with killing the beaten officers would New Domino City eventually run out of personal that would even dare to go to the Satellit were Cops go to die.
So if there could have keep winning (which given that main Character dueling powers would more then likely allow) could there technically lead a successful gorilla war against Sector Security.

It's the most powerful in this series along with Uru (Greiger's Chacu Challua came very close, with 2900 attack points).
