Listening to Raggae music opened up my eyes to a lot of this, changed how i see thing and it helped grow. Sometimes at my age there is lot of confusion about life in general and being from the ghetto this song says a lot about my reality.
Impressed you could understand this because it took me a while even though my heritage is Jamaican Maroon. The underlying track is called 'World a Reggae' by Ini Kamoze. It had to be explained to me that he is singing "Out in the streets they call it merther", which is apparently a herb-induced state of bliss experienced when also listening to 'conscious' or thought-provoking reggae music or teachings. I'm old, so new millennial vocabulary goes straight over my head.
Nas is real hiphop legend (brought him up since he collaborated on this album) Of course he has a lot of well known songs but one thats a little less known but really good is Made You Look. Also from this same album is Road To Zion by Damian and Nas. One of the best songs on the album imo
As mentioned in another comment, this is reusing the "World A reggae" from Ini Kamoze's first LP. I think most of the tracks from the LP have been redone in some forms by other artists over the years.
i need to recommend you react to : *KAROL G, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley - Love With A Quality (Official Video)* Gnere of the song Reggae/Reggaeton / Lyrics : Spanish/English
Damian Marley is playing here in Aotearoa New Zealand next summer Strummer want's to go it's a long drive 350kms approximately each way and it's going to be well worth the drive Strummer and i haven't been to a gig together for a couple of years bloody covid His first gig was Super groove at western Springs across the road from where we lived when he was born until he was three his next gig was ROOFDOG (ska/punk) think Sublime but better and i don't say that lightly I'm a Sublime fan a big fan but ROOFDOG are better
Yip 220 hundred of your silly imperial miles and our roads have cops with radar and Lazer just waiting to take your licence off you at the end of every bloody straight bit of road and my bloody twin turbo Subaru has no Cruise control so constantly looking at the Speedo 5 kms over and $80 fine plus ten points off ya licence
No it's an Exiga 7 seater it's got a higher roofline and an extra row of seats but yeah it's based off a legacy wagon and drinks like a drunken sailor and goes like a bat out of hell
@@heathcornbeef that's not a model you get in my neck of the woods, I thought the Legacy was the only Subaru to have a twin turbo, but I guess it has an automatic gearbox, probably uses the same engine as the Legacy. They are pretty quick! Probably quicker than my Lancer
"Rastafari stands alone" 🙌🏽
Dem suit nuh fit me!
