As a Jamaican I appreciate this review. This song really gives an enlightenment of what's happening on my little island. Trench Town is the name of one of the "ghettos"in Kingston. The two political parties in Jamaica are the People's National Party and the Jamaica Labor Party. When I was a kid and I lived in Jamaica I remember if you lived in Kingston you couldn't even wear the color of the party you were voting for in some areas. It's like Bloods walking into Crips territory, you just don't do that. Jamaican politics is interesting and from what is hear still dangerous in some parts. It's a beautiful island but so many poor people and so much corruption. The Jamaican Government pretty much sold everything on the island to the Chinese. They privatising beaches that I use to go to as a kid, now people gotta pay. It's really sad because the people are kind and loving and we go hard for each other no matter where in the world we live. Anyways sorry for the long post. Just wanted to show my appreciation. I will find a few songs and submit some requests. Now can you please react to Tamar Braxton's song Blind. Her vocals and runs are ridiculous on that song. If I'm not mistaken she is singing lead as well as background on that joint. Thanks
Interesting, sorry to hear that the Chinese are are stealing your little island using fiat currency 💴 hopefully enough of y’all can take back your little piece of heaven ✅
Metalhead here too, but love ALL good music. This song is off the hook good and, I try to turn as many of my metal friends on to it whenever I can. This song defines grove & rythem at it's most rawest level.
@@skatee99as a metal head who happened, out of necessity, became a bass player for a regionally successful roots reggae band, you couldn’t be more correct.
I love so much of y’all music! I really really really love what I think is y’all’s music & that’s the song everyone falls in love sometimes! I love it!
right... you could have the most worst day, listen reggae and all is again ok after 5 minutes... ^^ a little bit weed helps of course too to feel better...^^
Hell yeah! Growing up in NY you are so right that this culture has a huge impact back there. I was a crazy kid listening to Bob and still listen to his music on the regular. Damian definitely carries on the Marley legacy! This song was the shit when it came out! Awesome guys.
Some old school rocksteady/lovers such as Dennis Brown (shashamane living, or lovelight), JC Lodge (someone loves you honey, kiss and say goodbye), Delroy Wilson (won't you come home girl, no more heartaches) as well. Yeh, and defo the cool ruler, Mista Gregory man. 'Once ago' is one of his best, or 'no man's footstool'. What about Freddie McGregor - 'can't stop loving Jah' or 'freddie'. I could go on.
First off, I’ve got mad love for what you guys do. I watch a lot of reaction channels and you are by far the best because of your combination of intellect and passion. I now consider myself part of the rat pack and I never really listen to Logic before I start watching you guys, so thank you for that. I was big into rap growing up (80’s baby) but fell off because of mumble rap, so thank you for getting me back into it. I’m sure you have heard of Ed Sheeran. It’s easy to write him off as just another popstar but he’s so much more than that. This guy literally slept on couches for more than five years trying to make a big. He’s literally the only person who does a one man show with a loop pedal that’s out there today. In addition to writing every song he’s ever done he also writes for the top artist in the pop game today. I love you guys and I love Ed Sheeran. I promise you if you start going down that rabbit hole of his live loop pedal videos your channel blow up even more than it already is. As big as the rat pack is, it does not compare to Ed Sheeran following. Remember it’s his live loop pedal stuff that separates him for everybody else check out this video please. I know you’ll appreciate this good music and it will grow your channel. Much love. ruclips.net/video/WTRzW6VGuCI/видео.html
Ayo we out here with that reggae music !!! Like you'd hear reggae being blasted during the summer out here in New York lmaoooo prolly even see people hotboxing to this song too 😂. The chill vibe and beat that you get while listening to this type of music and the woke lyrics and writing is on a whole other level. Damian Marly shoutout to him man and really love reggae and you guys should to more reaction/reviews to it. Great Job Lost In Vegas !!!
HELL YEAH! I remember when you guys said to do some requests for some reggae music and I immediately recommend Damian Marley and brought up the fact that he and Nas collaborated as well and it's so dope to actually see you guys react to Damian. Honestly I think Damian is my favorite artist who is the descendant of another famous artist. Man... Great reaction you guys you have all of my support. Solute!!
The moment I saw this video I clicked on it, then paused it, pressed the like button and wrote this comment just to express how happy I am to see an actual reggae review. Reggae is the grandfather of dubstep(my fav genre), so I can't help but feel content upon seeing a "Welcome to Jamrock" Review. :)
I'm so happy you guys got to some reggae. Been waiting for this a whiile now. Thanks guys If you guys want more give this a try Stephen Marley - Rock Stone ft. Capleton and Sizzla or Stephen Marley Jah Army ft. Damian Marley and Buju Banton. Jah Army is fire though. If you do Nas please to Road to Zion, track is huge
Who the hell gave this a thumbs down??!!! I LOVE me some Bob Marley and Damian does not disappoint. ❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥love this channel!! Got a chance to see the non-resort side of Jamaica last year. Amazing people. Love going to the local joints for a Dragon Stout and amazing music. Ran into this music not long after. I am a huge fan of his father and his legacy. Great review.
Oooh so...on that reggae note, Alpha Blondy- I wish you were here. Such an intriguing rendition of a Pink Floyd classic. Uplifting and always makes me smile!
One of my favorites!!! I love Damian Marley! I had to listen to this song a gazillion times to learn the lyrics! I loved when he hooked up with Bruno Mars in Liquor Store Blues. Thanks for doing this song!!
I've heard about Damian Marley for years, but never listened to him. This is awesome! Thank you for, once again, introducing me to some great music. Please post a playlist (if you haven't already).
The positivity you guys show for each song you review is so infectious, since watching your videos I've really expanded the genres of music I listen to. Challenge for all other objective minded individuals, after work each day I listen to a full album from a genre that I wouldn't typically listen to, obviously start with the classics from each and work your way deeper. Really enjoying the musical journey you guys are sending me on!
Ayyy I'm happy y'all finally got around to reggae !! you definatly need to check out Patience by Damien Marley and Nas, in fact they had a whole album together and let me tell you it is amazing, one of my favorite collaboration albums of all time.
I haven't listened to this song in a year or so I have to admit I had goosebumps throughout watching this video of the whole song .. I love everything about this song from the sound to the lyrics to the truth behind the lyrics. Thanks for breaking this song down for me , love your guys reactions
Brothers, First of all great to hear from you guys. Secondly, though I am a metal head for the most part, I believe I have been blessed by friends from all music genre that have influenced me not only to listen to different styles of music (Country, Reggae, Rap, ETC) and actually like it. Listening to this reminds me of a great friend of mines who I knew while I lived in Miami, Florida. Yes, he was from Jamaica and got me interested in the music. Thank you for drawing me back in time not only when life was easier but was surrounded by the best of friends.
Great reaction guys. Shout out to Damian Marley for being one of the few real artists to follow in his parents footsteps. Haven’t heard anything outside of the Nas collab album, which was fire. Love the sound of this song. How about Sublime for a future reggae reaction? But I’m gonna keep requesting All I Think About by Bad Meets Evil, Shady CXVpher or Laf (Remix)

my most favorite memory of listening to reggae was at my Senior Drill Sergeant's home over Thanksgiving watching Bob Marley concerts on laserdisk. a very very long time ago

This song is so hard in so many different great ways! Damian is one of my all time favorite artists. His vocal tone is so sick! Also I would highly recommend that every human takes a trip to all the islands of the Caribbean. Not just going to Sandals for their all inclusive stay. So much culture missed! Not to mention some of the best food and music on the planet!
Skidstainz 1D Way better reggae out there better than rebulution..The Itals, Buju Banton, Everton Blender, President Brown, Tony Rebel, Brigadier Jerry, The Gladiators, etc...Rebelution...Cho...fuckery
Againan Again oh never mind I had to read your comment a couple times, I just woke up. I’m not going to say I don’t like them, because I dig them. But, I like rebelution being the first reggae music I’ve listened too. Not to mention they are a really good band. This is coming from a Metallica/slayer fan
I usually request metal songs, but there's enough people doing that. I'd LOVE to see you guys react to Anderson Paak: The Season|Carry Me and/or Aloe Blacc: Love is the answer/ Can you do this. Both of these guys use components of R&B, Funk, Soul and Hip Hop in their music. They're awesome and I feel like they don't get the recognition they deserve. Hope you guys get a chance to check them out!! (I'll continue reposting this until then lol)

Yes Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley...finally 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Can you react/review his newer joint ‘Medication’. Thanks for all the real reactions and expanding my musical taste.
"Welcome to Jamrock" = "This is Jamaica" before Childish Gambino made "This is America"
damn, that's the best description ever, not just for the song but generally speaking
Pretty damn good description and so true.

Thankyou
Difference is, this is America is shit
