There are a lot of DCS creators out there on RUclips but only a few who are also the Salt in the Soup like you are. Cause you bring up the historic aspect also, wich others lag of out there. The Problem with DCS is they lag of jets from the 60ths like the IAF Mirage IIIC during the six day war 1967 or a North American F-100 Super Sabre, Republic F-105 Thunderchief and Phantom F-4 from Vietnam era just to name a few and they should really get some Maps like Vietnam and Israel. And yes, lots if assets are missing from DCS but many are coming. Mirage III, A-7 and F-4 are in the pipeline. In the meantime, we do with what we have. I usually include landing footage in my mission videos. This time the replay track was completely messed up, showing the plane just randomly hitting the ground instead of landing. I didn't feel like redoing it and thought maybe people didn't care much about that. Maybe I was wrong :) Thank you for your comment!
Hello! Someone else commented a similar thing. When I listen, it seems OK but I think it might have something to do with the engine noise in the cockpit. It might be drowning the voice. I will try to put it down in the future so the voice is clearer. Thank you for your comment and keep watching!
interesting fight and nice video. Of course the passage of time has shown that the Israeli tally was closer to the truth. They did lose a mirage, but no RF-4 was shot down. Unarmed, they simply extended away from the fight. Cudos to the syrians for showing the courage to confront the israeli's who were probing the syrians AD systems as the russians had supplied them with some new missiles, and significantly, after this encounter, the russians sent the first SAM-6 system to syria and a bettter Mig-21 model to replace the loses. I can't remember which variant. The modified mirage the israeli's flew was a very good aircraft and very capable in a dogfight. As we now know...those SAM-6's were to prove very costly to the IAF in the 73 war until they were dealt with.

Probably because it is Mirage 2000 😁 When I did this video, I had no other way to simulate Mirage III. In the meantime, a Mirage III mod with Israeli skin has appeared and that's what I'm using in my latest video.
We know Israel lost some 300 aeroplanes just a few days later with Arab losses negligible by comparison so much so that IAF was ground for most of the war there after so a claim by Israel of 12 kills & 1 loss is definitely bogus. The Syrian claim is consistent with what followed later..so I will go by the Syrians
Well, yes and no. The original Track IR still costs its own weight in gold. Delanclip is much cheaper but if you don't live in the UK, postage will cost you more than 50 percent. The only really cheap option is DIY. I actually have all the components for it. I just need to make myself finish it. Removing the IR filter from the web camera is the part that scares me a bit 😁 Thank you for your comment!
@@showtime112 There actually is a Chinese trackIR copy that I hear is basically identical to the original track IR and runs on the same software. If you don't mind buying the Chinese knockoff version. Goes by the name TrackNP5 in the US and retails around 60-70 usd in the US.

There were many dogfights between 1967. and 1973. Sadly, main Israeli fighters of that era, Mirage III and Phantom are not available in DCS as proper modules. If any of these two should appear, I'll be all over it!
That wasn't the point at all. The 2000 was simply the only choice. And the video was done the other way around. From the final result backwards. It aimed to emulate the historical events. Other channels do the opposite, they start with a historical framework and then just let the thing play out.
Syrian Air défenses were under strict orders not to illuminate any intruding Israeli warplanes with the newly acquired Sam 6 missiles. The Sam 6 came as a complete surprise when the war started the following October 6. The Israelis mistakenly interpreted Syrian troop movements in the interim as a Syrian show of force because of this incident and not the real thing. It is speculated that this air engagement was specifically for that deception.

You witnessed it? There was a lot of dogfight going on back then. Pakistan lost some F-86 Sabres and a couple of F-104 Starfigters in air combat.
