Glad you got the trailer wheel sorted. The 400 is a real corner queen, 1st ride out was very impressive to see it hang onto that s1000 for a little while.
on a small tight track like that small cc bikes have the advantage being so light, low on power and flicky in those tight corners, where the big heavy bikes are are at a disadvantage due to being more bulky and heavy and the fact they never make it out of 1st gear. my whole family races and we all agree 125-400cc is by far the most fun class on the track being bale to ride a small bike with in a inch of its life is way more fun than being able to only use 25% of what a big bike is capable of doing
I have the same motorcycle, and I thought that the standard tires had no grip and I wanted to change them before spending them. I've seen your video and I was really surprised how you can go so fast with some street tires.
Audio was a little tough to hear. But besides that, how do you like the little 400? I still have and will probably NEVER get rid of, my lil r3. I freaking LOVE that lil bike. I am a pretty tall rider but I changed rear sets and clip ons, a whole lot of other stuff and made it a little more comfortable for me. I even had some pretty significant engine work done. Not by choice tho lol. Had a cylinder that wasn't making ANY compression and had to remove the head, so while I had it apart, did the damn thing lol. But yeah, I have more fun on that lil bike than I do my mt09. Doesn't wheelie as easy, but twisty roads are the shit on the r3.
As a beginner going into a turn you should roll off the throttle, apply break BEFORE turning, look through the turn and accelerate when you get to the apex of the corner. If you apply brake during a turn, you lose traction on the wheel that you're applying the brake on - which will lead to wobble if you're lucky, a high side if you're not. There is an advanced technique called trailbreaking, but not something a beginner should be too concerned about. Essentially you 'drag' the rear break through a turn - but it's tricky. Apply too little pressure and it won't do anything ,apply too much and you're going down.
Your in luck. I made a series dedicated to comparing the R3 and Ninja 400. Available on my patreon.com/irnieracing channel. Enjoy. www.patreon.com/posts/25596913
I like Thunderhill, but I has its problems. My favorite track for technical track, fun factor, smooth pavement surface, track safety, pit amenities, and spectator viewing is The Ridge. Thunderhill lacks runoff in some areas ruclips.net/video/E4Kn1xq6czs/видео.htmlsi=AiKKkmzdPWNThFzx
Those fields look like Windows XP wallpaper :D
Sviests that’s Willows CA for you! At least in spring. Turns golden in the summer.
Lol, i was just about to comment. "How does it feel racing in a Windows wallpaper?"
400 is such a great bike. Beautiful riding out there. I love mine. Itching for more track time.
Stock everything vs tricked out S1000RR! Epic!!!
Vs track speed limit

when you go into those turns, they don’t look like turns, fantastic lines

That giggle and “what kind of bike is that?”
Dude knows that s1000r rider isn’t as skilled
Epic Irnie !!!
👍👍👍👍👍
400’s are like the Miata of motorcycles. Everyone talks trash until one is knocking on your back door on track
Haha #right Loved my rally miata. Check the rally miata video playlist!
Damn those lean angles 😳 look like i almost saw your mirror touch the asphalt.
This was awesome to watch
Very good riding my man
cheers. Keep at the moto.
Haha that's how it's done, stuff it under the thou's in the corners. I bet he was fuming 😡.

How did your breaks do during the track day?
Haha that's my Duc stuck in the swamp at the end of the straightaway. The crash video is on RUclips.
reply with the link! Sorry to hear about your duck. At least it found it's home. :%
Notice how he accelerates and brakes in the paddock area? This is the fastest way to warm your tires people! Spread it!
Actually I was warning my brakes!
Paddock area?
Good stuff!

Yeah, the mic setup didn't go well this time. It's hard to know until testing ontrack, and then im busy to check the footage to verify audio quality.
no tire warmers?
OEM Street tires bike came with new!
You have to initiate their line and drift performance from behind Takumi! You and your Trueno 400 can do this! -Itsuki
Why are they letting you run with mirrors on? Doent make sense.
I teach others!
Beginner question
Are you not supposed to brake in a turn ?
avoid ever breaking during a turn. Thats a wonderful way to lock the wheel and highside your bike or have it slide under you.
Yes, trailbraking, but as a beginner and road rider, you should be very careful with it

Ahh I can't remember. 2 something. Hmmm
I love my 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 400
Same! Mine is blue such a fun bike I want to give it upgrades and make it even fast if that’s possible??
Please ride R3 and give your opinion compared to ninja 400. Thanks.

@Irnieracing AMSOIL Synthetics nice riding. I was confused when I saw 160 :)
Lol @ 8:56 your mirror kissed the pole
What was the speed limit? Lol
Ninja400 top speed? I made a video somewhere that went into the top speed. Look at my ninja400 playlists. Maybe 190kmph...
Dear god how are you that fast
Raw video of the Ducati crash. It was my second session of the day.

Dang, drop those mirrors, they really suck.
Haha actually they are awesome for RT! Haha
@@irnieracing so you can see those bearing down on you, keeping up with anything in the corners, must be fun
How does thunder hill stack up to the Washington tracks in your opinion?
