Wow, first time watching Larry Myricks and his technique is awesome - 28"6 clean. He finished 3rd in 1991 at the greatest long jump competition, so he's right there behind the two all time best, and one of the greatest himself, only Carl more consistent. That's impressive he jumped near peak at age 33 - they all had best jumps around 30.

Carl Lewis was the GOAT but Larry Myricks had an awesome tecnique with a great talent, not inferior in quality to Lewis' Unfortunately he suffered so much King Carl, from a psycological point of view, that he never reached his peak when it counted, during Olympic and WC. I think Myricks was one of those exceptional athletes that remain in track and field history for not having won anything despite their huge talent. In this particular category I would put also Ralph Metcalf, Herbert McKinley, Jürgen Hingsen and Asafa Powell.

In Japan sports commentators respect Mr.Myricks more than Lewis. They always tell young atheletes to follow him.
