Myricks was a tremendous technician and had the best landing technique of anyone I've ever seen. If Lewis had Myricks' technique, he would have jumped 29-10. Lewis' peeks at the board, his terrible landing technique -- all too bad. Anyway, all moot! Powell is the man now!
I originally thought that Carl's landing was his weakest aspect, but after viewing his jumps more closely, it's extremely efficient. I also used to think Powell was the man, but if you delve into it, actually Carl Lewis is the man without the WR. You know he holds the WR indoor record right 28' 10.5? Even Powell himself says he's the best. Myricks is stronger with better leaping ability, but not as fast.
Let me emphasize that Mr.Myricks is popular than Lewis in Japan. When he comes to Japan I go to his dynamic jump with pretext which sounds reasonable. Japanese sports commentators always told young atheletes to follow him.
Hahaha 2 years later Mike Powell broke the WR !!
