Maybe you won't try sailing to Miami LOL!! What a cool cruise! This would be right up my alley! If we ever get back to the Virginia Beach area this will definitely be on my todo list! What an awesome tour! Great video!
Thank you Jack, Brad and Alice! Brad, happy Veterans Day! We live in Richmond, VA and plan to take the Victory Rover Navel Base Cruise when we can get it scheduled.
Very cool video I'm just bummed because I was just there on the Carnival Magic but didn't know that tour existed...Thanks for sharing and the great info.... cruising out of Norfolk and passing Naval Yard was really cool ..
Very cool that you cruised out of Norfolk. And I am glad you at least got to see the Navy yard as you departed. I hope you are able to come doe this tour at some point in the future. It was fascinating. Thanks for watching and commenting!
This was a great virtual tour! Really enjoyed learning about the different ships and the history of the Norfolk Naval Station. Had no idea the aircraft carrier's flight deck was so big! Thanks for sharing this!👍
So sorry we are behind! We have been away for a couple of weeks and we will catch up 😊 what a cool naval base! Wow some huge cruise ships are there. So nice to be out on the water. Some of those naval ships are ginormous! Nice they had bathrooms and snacks available during the tour. Awe a dolphin! That’s a big medical centre, so cool it’s from 1830, wow! Thanks to brad for the great info too and for his service. Fantastic video as always! 😊
Thank you so much for taking us on a cruise exploring the beauty of Norfolk with us! I love all the additional background information that you are giving us in this one! Cool share :) the navy station is actually huge! All the different ships!
A very interesting vlog Jack, much about things I have no idea about the shipping Ports and industry. Interesting to hear about Brad's experiences on the ships. Thank you for taking us along Jack. All the best for 2024. 🙏🏼👍🏼🤠♥
Very interesting cruise and experience. Lots to see and learn about. They also had Herr's chips! Lol! That's a big deal where I'm from because they are hard to find around here. Motions sickness is never fun, but if you ever get sick, just film it and include it in your vlog. 😂 Jk!! Awesome video!!! I will try my best to stay caught up as well as I can, now that our fall-holiday travels are winding down.
We enjoyed the Naval base tour, Alice, Jack and Brad. We taken one before there and loved your previous tours of the Big Whiskey. Thanks for bringing us along.
Never know has this kind cruise, which is really great to see. Those ships looks awesome. We ever visit this kind big ship in Texas, but only one ship, not like these so many kind. Very enjoyed watching and thank you for very informative sharing 😍👍👍
wooowwww..very beautiful place and very natural too...very love to watch it until end scene....feel enthusiast❤❤❤❤ best regards from Indonesia #willysandy58
Grew up in the tidewater . The maritime aspect of the area gives it a unique environment . Every where you go there is a ship or a place ship’s navigate
We both love a harbor cruise and it was interesting to see Norfolk. I had an uncle stationed there many, many years ago (before your family member) and I always wondered what the area looked like. I didn't know there was a cruise terminal there. The boat looked nice. Lovely story about the USS New York. Interesting boat ride, thank you for sharing. Fabulous Brad could tick something off his bucket list.
Thanks so much for watching our video about the Victory Rover cruise. We hope you get a chance to experience it in person some day. We are glad you enjoyed it!
I have never heard of this before. Boat cruises are so fun and something our family would love. The ships around there are huge. We don’t see that in Lake MI 😂. Out of all the channels I watch you guys put so much research on your videos. I remember USS Cole, cool they fixed it up. Didn’t realize there was a fleet there. Cool you had a Navy vet with you. Thanks for taking us around.
Boat cruises are always a great way to see a town along a harbor or lake or river. I used to really enjoy them but starting a few years ago, boats started giving me motion sickness - which is why I stayed on land for this one. But it is impressive to see the Navy's Atlantic fleet parked along the docks at the base in Norfolk. It is cool that they were able to fix the USS Cole and that it is still in service to this day. Thanks for noticing how much research we do. We try to add some interesting information along the way in our travels. Thanks so much for watching - and for taking the time to comment!
One of my favorite things to do in coastal cities is to take a harbor tour. This is one that particularly interests me because of the large naval presence, since both my sons have a strong interest in pursuing a career in the Navy.
That is great that both of your sons aspire to have a career in the Navy. That is a great ambition to have. We wish them both luck in the Navy (or wherever else life takes them). It is always fascinating to see the Navy fleet docked along the harbor at the base. It is something Norfolk is very proud of. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
The Navel Base was great, I remember the attack on the USS Cole which were an ominous precursor to 9/11. I didn’t know about some of the steel from that tragedy being in the construction of the USS New York. Such a sad synergy.
Yes. It is still operational. Google Victory Rover Naval Cruise and you will find it. The bus tour of the base closed in 2020. But my understanding is that they will be starting bus tours again soon . Thanks for watching!

There's something quite incredible about seeing the vast amount of designs there are of boats and ships, always fun to have one of your own too!

Large naval base with many large, modern ships
Thanks so much for watching our video about the Victory Rover cruise. The ships were impressive!
Is the tour opetational now?
Saw on trip advisor that Oct 2023 boat rover and bus tour been shut down for years
Yes. It is still operational. Google Victory Rover Naval Cruise and you will find it. The bus tour of the base closed in 2020. But my understanding is that they will be starting bus tours again soon . Thanks for watching!
