I do love having a full fridge in my room versus a bar fridge... looked like a pretty well stocked kitchenette... pool looked quiet... I wonder if the pools get much use at these hotels... when I was younger, the pools were always full of kids at the hotels we stayed at (not big resorts, just regular hotels)...seemed it was a thing for families to stay somewhere relatively local just to have a little getaway and to use the pool...

A full size fridge is nice! "The dump station" LOL!!! We have never stayed at a Home2Suites but it looks like a good option when deciding between different places!

My old roommate lives in Overland Park. So we try to stop there on our road trips. I remember passing this place. You got so much content from this trip. The bathroom nicknames is my favorite running gag. LOL, I’m a vacation unpacker.

This is such a nice hotel. The rooms look very comfortable and accommodating. I love getting a room with that sort of refrigerator/freezer setup. The quality of their complimentary breakfast is well above an average hotel breakfast. The pool area looked nice and clean, as did the gym. The price was also very nice. You got a great deal for the room. Excellent video and great recommendation for anyone visiting the Kansas City area.

Wow...those performers were awesome! The atriums look huge... what? No Christmas music at the North Pole? ha ha...seems odd... The harbour looked beautiful... So many activities and events... I love it! Oh, I need some input from you guys! We are heading to North Carolina... Boone, NC... this weekend... have you been? Any tips or advice on things to see or do in January? I have never been to Kansas City but I’ve always been curious. Great accommodations! Very cozy suite w nice amenities. (Jack is so funny - “The dump station”)😅😂 I used to travel w my late hubby as much as possible when he worked for Callaway Golf. The amenities in Japan were teeny-tiny! Nothing like this. Nice indoor heated pool. Workout while waiting for laundry - convenient! 💪🏼. Thanks for sharing dear Alice and Jack. Sure wish we lived closer to each other. Happy Thursday dear friends!🎉💫✨👍🏼

Kings Dominion is such an amazing park! Their Winterfest looks so much fun. Unfortunately, we have been way too busy to really get into the holidays, so it came and went. We were also extremely burned out and stayed in for NYE, though I wish I would've pushed myself to do the Carowinds NYE celebration. Your holiday plates look much better than the ones we got from Carowinds. Love all the party favors, lights, shows, and the fireworks display with the Eiffel Tower replica in the forefront. So much fun!! Hope 2025 will be a good one.

Very interesting place and video! I agree that we hear very little about WW1 compared to other wars, which is crazy given how significant of a role it played. I wish it really was the one war to end them all. That would've been nice. 😢 The trench exhibit was pretty wild. Crazy how quickly planes made their way into war as well. The newspapers, clothing, weapons, and the many other artifacts really brought those years to life, as did the time capsule. I also really liked the tower and area around it. Very nice views of KC!

Wow! I had no idea Kansas City had this museum. It looks fantastic! I’m like you- I don’t know a lot about WW I either- gorgeous views! This will definitely be on my list when I make it back up to Kansas City!

I miss the holidays already... love all the decorations and lights everywhere... very cool old home... great history to it... and it was the town library at one time...wow... love the idea of the Christmas Candlelight tour... such a nice community thing to be part of...

What a cool place! The chair lift looks like it would be fun! As we get older I would like to start visiting more places like this and just seeing the beauty of our country!

We are asleep by 9:30 pm on New Years Eve LOL!! However this looks like a fun place to celebrate New Years Eve with the family! We are going to have to take our little one to Kings Dominion in a couple of years! Sorry to hear about your loses in your family :( Love the countdown you did with the highlights from your travels!

I gotta agree with Jack. WWI for some reason wasn’t on my radar like other wars. Nice museum and very informative. Come on Jack it’s common knowledge Wasps like to mate in tall towers 😂

Fantastic views of Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia. The shows, decorations, lights, and atmosphere were absolutely mesmerizing. I would love to do this! What gorgeous homes and decorations. I love the themed trees from businesses and charities. I love that you can go your own speed....some tours feel like a forced march instead of a tour! I've never been to Edenton and now want to go! As usual, fabulous video.
