I’ve had the Sony headphones for like 2 weeks now and I’m still learning and finding new things out about them, it’s crazy the amount of abilities that they offer that are super useful!!!!! Literally love themmmmm smmmm!!!
I accidentally stumbled upon this video and watched it using _my_ Sony XM4 that I received 2 days ago after ordering them on sale from Best Buy (day 3 of using them)! To say I've been enjoying them is an understatement... they're easily the best headphones I've owned yet! I listen to super bass heavy genres within EDM from house to hardstyle and the sound immersion is real especially after playing around with the equalizer on the respective app! Great review - you had me dying in laughter the whole time, lol.
I would like to have them but they are much more expensive in my country than in us. I have enough money for even xm5 but i dont want to spend all my money on headphones

Only downgrade is for me that xm4s are more portable but im usually going out with a backpack anyway... and xm4s headband was more comfortable, the one on xm5s presses my head sometimes a bit too tight but you can adjugst the headbands lenght. Best way is if you would just compare them side by side on a store or ask friends if you can borrow their models...

I bought the XM5 but decided to eventually buy the XM4. Should have done my research properly, because the XM5 auto ANC clearly sucks. It's garbage. Plus, the earpads are thin as fuck. It's just a downgrade in my opinion. Plus smaller drivers. XM4 you can change noise cancelling intensity manually. Headband is pretty thin too. And they don't fold like XM4. I don't know what Sony was smoking when they made these headphones. Just a complete money grab.
I think both options are great, I bought the XM4 because they are cheaper than the XM5. The XM4's NC is amazing, I've never experienced that level of noise canceling. I am happy with my XM4

when charging them, does the red indicator light stay on all the time until you unplug them or does it automatically turn off after the headset is charged (even if it’s still plugged in)?

I’ve got a pair of Creative SXFI Air since 2020, I love those headphones but they’re in bad conditions, all the leather fell down the pads and the costing of the part on the head is falling down, leaving white pieces all over the hairs. I believe it’s a really good pair of headphones, I paid like 100€, I need a new pair of headphones but I don’t really want to spend 220€

Absolutely not. I own many headphones, like VERY good open-back and closed-back headphones like the Focal Clear and Hifiman Arya... and these are terrible for mixing. Bloated bass, scooped out mids. Technical performance is also not good. Not only is the tuning and tonal balance completely whack, in the end, you will always be limited by the bluetooth technology. We're just not at the point where bluetooth headphones can compete with even cheap, wired headphones. I would say get a Sennheiser HD600. That is like THE reference headphone you want to use for mixing. The only problem with the HD600 is the sub-bass roll off. Otherwise the midrange and treble are fantastic. Imo, with mixing, you probably already know this, but you don't just want to use one headphone, you want to use various audio devices to test your mix. And even then, a speaker system would always be much better.
Can someone tell me about the synthetic material from the ear pads please?. Do they peel off quickly?. This is really worrying for me. I'd be grateful to know what's your experience about this. Thanks so much. I really would love to buy them but I do not know if they will last or not...

Use them a bit carefully since I've seen examples of where the hinge breaks; I got myself a pair couple weeks ago too

Upgraded from xm4 to xm5 due to giving my mom the headphones and I would recommend getting the xm4 to save money

yes they do wear off depending on your use but you can replace them for an ok price
