I am getting mine delivered today and I am insanely excited! I listened to Spotify for over 30,000 hours last year so I knew I needed these. I also use my Airpod pro 2nd gens and I am very excited to have an over the ear headphone! As someone who has had ear surgeries on ear headphones are very uncomfortable for me because of my ear. Now being able to get the XM4's and that they are over the ear headphones will be the icing on the cake!
how do they sound? i heard you only get to listen to aac with iphone so do they still sound good with aac? assuming you own an iphone

How do they sound in comparison to the airpod pro 2nd gens? I'm actually switching to the sonys so I'd love to be able to know about the sound quality difference, ANC, etc

Just got mine 2 days ago and this is day 3 or using them (I'm even using them to watch this video)! Easily the best headphones I've ever owned especially if you listen to super bass heavy genres in EDM like I do and want to be immersed in sound. Great unboxing and review! 🙏🏽

I purchased a pair today. I will be using them with my cellphone but my main reason for purchasing them is to use them with my 160G iPod Classic when I travel. I'll have to go through the set up to actually see if there is a dramatic difference between the Sony WH- 1000XM4 and my old reliable Sennheiser HD 280 Pros. Out the box the Sennheiser sound better. Hopefully after I download the app and adjust my settings the sound will be considerably better.

I notice the difference in plastic sealed from other unboxing. The gold label (Industry Leading) in the upper right side. Is this normal or they just resealed it?

how would you rate the severity of the sound leak? cuz me personally y biggest fear with headphines is having people hear what I am listening to.
at like 70% volume they don't leak at all or barely (in a quiet place), they're very good!

Why did you choose xm4 instead of xm5??
cheaper, foldable, and a lot of people have said the improvements in the xm5s aren't worth the price difference. I just bought the xm4s myself funny enough
they also sound very similar almost like you wouldnt notice which is which

Do not buy the Sony WH 1000XM4's. The youtube reviewers don't mention it, but it comes with the worst touch controls I've ever come across. Also, they have this braindead speak to chat function, which stops what you are listening to if you make too much sound. It doesn't start playing again until the minimum time in the app of 15 seconds. You can turn this function off in the app, but it randomly turns back on again for no reason. You are supposed to be able to turn it off by touching the touchpad with two fingers, but because the touch controls are terrible, most of the time this doesn't work.
