Poor guy had quite a cross (or rather a great deal of limelight - stealing) to bear.

Yo Thersites I really do enjoy these videos and have previously given money via super chats during your live streams, but can you pause these side-quests and do another Byzantine Emperor?

Byzantium is the side quest, Res Publica is the main campaign

It's fascinating to get these capsule biographies of the *not quite top tier* of the middle and late Republic.
It gives us a real sense of the way politics worked at that time.

There's no way that's an actual death mask of Glabrio...?

It is interesting to know that his name survived until the V century AD.
Is it possible to know which emperors families were in the Senate before Augustus?
I know that all Julio-Claudian emperors and Galba had consuls in their famillies trees before the empire, but the other dynasties seem to enter the roman history "from nowhere."

It's hard to say, but if the Emperor in question was from Italia or had recent Italian lineage it's not impossible they had an ancestor of Senatorial rank. A lot of the old Senatorial families during the Republic had entire branches die out in the Civil Wars and the ones who didn't play ball with Augustus' new regime were probably phased out of politics over the multiple decades he was in charge.
By the time you get to Septimius Severus the old Rome was effectively gone and political skills/pedigree were secondary to being a skilled military commander who is able to put down rivals. An interesting question for sure, but one who's answer is most likely lost to the historical fog.

The use of BCE and CE is a sign of historical dishonesty.

Isn't the fact that you feel the need to bring that up, much rather a "sign" of you being rather ignorant and easily triggered?
