i hoped this video will shine some light on how valve are killing KZ by 1) destroying the public server search and 2) destroying movement with subtick, also ramps on surf
couldnt agree more with you on the public server search. cant believe they removed that, it was there for over 20 years, you cant just remove it like that wtf second, is it still possible to KZ with subtick? how is it killing kz? feel bad for the community
@@hearTelus i havent played anything community based on cs2 due to the stupid server search but i was part of a big kz amd surf community in csgo and from what others have shared - subtick makes it very hard to consistently jump both in lenght and in height due to the programming while surf has been killed because doing smooth ramps has become basically impossible for mappers on the new engine due to the collisions
@@hearTelusjumping is very inconsistent, ie. you get different units every jump. you could go up 20 units or you could go up 45 units very inconsistent due to sub tick. long jumping is very hard now because new plugins have to be made for prestrafing which the ones out now are still being tested and very buggy. becuse of sub tick you no longer can consistently bhop it is very random and the threshold in which you can hit a bhop. kz servers usually have 3 modes. vnl- vanilla. kzt- kz timer. and normal or kzs- kz simple. vanilla works but with all those previously mentioned buggy mess intertwined. and normal has to use a plugin that propels the player forward whenever you land after jumping. instead of previous versions of normal mode which just increases the amount of velocity you gain when jumping and strafing
i run a 1.6 kz server with over 4000 maps (insane, i know!) great video, and thanks for helping to bring kz to the masses :) suggestion: detailed KZ tutorials for each technique in 1.6 (cuz there really aren't any in english)

I remember playing the map Xunlian a long time ago and never realized the objective of the map was to climb until the end. Aside from that, Kreedz Climbing is a pretty cool mod and it is truly a shame that is falling apart and the playerbase keeps declining.
Ah yes the giantbean. I remember the gold one the most. Golden era of 1.6 death run was also fun back then. Before all the custom knives with, like speed, gravity and other nonsense, autobhop and even timers.

I've been enjoying kz for like 15 years but I never knew how to do HJs like I know Ljs and BHOPs (most used ones) but HJs alwys get the better of me do any of you guys have an explanation how to do that or am I missing a point and it's similar to LJ?
For high jumps, do count jump (cj) or stand-up count jump (scj). It will be hard to master it, but once you practice enough, you can pretty much use it to jump anywhere :)
PLEASE enable widescreen field of view in hl1 and cs1.6. as if playing native 16:9 wasn't bad enough, you're using significantly lower fov. actually eye bleeding otherwise great video lol

CS2 KZ is really fun, and the binds aren't as bad as it sounds. It just needs time, because there aren't many maps right now.

@@rudecs nah they just different gamemodes atp with similar skills. Cus bhopping in 1.6 has more depth but comboing sucks the maximum amount of balls

It may sound weird to some, but this game mode in cs 1.6 along with the XJ community was a big part of my teenage life and I love that :D.

i hate how the movements have become so restricted, but i'm an old quake player. i miss the old beta CS versions with no restrictions
