Well done Darren for turning it round. And then giving back. I have similar experiences to you. I had good mates going to prison on release from the Army. I was homeless. I managed to turn it round. I’d bump into mates and ask how’s so-and-so getting on. Suicide was a familiar response. In my day, there wasn’t the concept of a veteran. That came with social media. Northern Ireland was my conflict. 4 tours. Lost mates. Bits of mates. Got injured. When I left I was in this complete vacuum. Nothing meant anything. I can empathise with the lads who fought in Afghanistan and Iraq. Best wishes to you all.

Good on you Darren, great respect to you from a fellow veteran!!
After a 12 year military career my world went crazy and I ended up in prison serving a life sentence.
At one lifers prison I was at there were 67 ex military personnel and I ran a group in the chapel every week as our chaplain was ex army.
We even had 6 officers join in who were also ex military. We had reps in from SSAFA, British Legion, Haig Housing.
It was great as lots of lads got help for future resettlement after prison. We even had mental health support.

British, American & Canadian soldiers plus the armies had no right to illegally invade Afghanistan, Iraq & Libya just because they have rich resources such oil and minerals. The reasons why soldiers who are suffering PTSD and other severe mental health issues is because they thought that they were going to be super heroes not knowing what danger they are putting themselves into. Also the war crimes that the soldiers have committed such killing innocent men, women and children and destructing lands in which they had no right whatsoever are stuck in there memories and the blood of innocent Afghan and Iraqi civilians they have killed are on there hands and now they have to pay a price by going through PTSD all because of the horrific killings they have obnoxiously committed.

There were Lots of other countries fighting in these conflicts, Poland, France, Denmark, Estonia to name a few, but obviously I can see that you’re racist as you only mentioned the English speaking countries?
And what do you mean soldiers and their army’s , soldiers are the army, and there are other branches of the military involved as well, ie Navy & Air Forces, their personnel are not soldiers by the way!
There are many differed branches of the army and they’re not all front line, cooks, surgeons, veterinarians where do they fit into you super hero hypothesis .
Lots of soldiers join because they feel it’s a calling, like the guy in the video said, “I always wanted to be in the military from a very young age” Or they do it to escape from bad areas where they live.
Some join up and there are no active wars on, but when needed they are sent by governments to quell a situation, the Falklands is a prime example. One minute the soldiers are training to fight the USSR, which never happened and within weeks they are sailing to the South Atlantic to fight Argentinians
Some over seas people have joined the Russian and Ukrainian armies because they feel they want to fight a cause, just like the foreigners joined the International Brigade to fight The fascists in the Spanish civil war
You’re obviously a very low IQ individual who doesn’t have the emotional intellect to deal with complicated matter such as Geo Politics, probably a Marxist liberal, so I suggest you stick to colouring books and crayons.
Go away little boy and leave life to real men!
