What a wonderful clip . Colour quality is exceptional for 1946 .
As a little boy I used to watch these films with my grandmother. We both loved the glamour.
She was just wonderful what A beautiful lady.
What a great song and performance
This is not the only time Miss Deadpan was used to puncture a serious love song. She did the same to Sinatra's 'Poor You' in 'Ship Ahoy' (1942). It was an extension of the role of heroine's deflationary gal pal that romantic comedies use to skim the saccharine.
Like Eve Arden. The funny second banana who sometimes stole the scene. If I were an actor, that’s the kind of actor I would like to have been.
I love Virginia 'O Brien she is so funny 😍😂😊 great actress in everything I see her in
"in fact most any man I see is the only man for me" literally me. Every year I fall in love with some man I cannot have, rn is the boomer actor Terrence Mann 😩
LOVE! SEQUENCE! MISS O' BRAIN WAS IN RARE FORM! THOSE HELEN ROSE COSTUME! MISS ROSE WAS TRUEY ONE OF THE DIVINE ONES, SHE DOESN'T GET MUCH GLORY AS SHE SHOULD!
ONE OF MR. EDEN'S GREAT LYRICS! 🙂;
i know it was for comedy purposes but i always found it so funny how they always gave her these songs about not being able to find a man as if she weren’t beautiful herself 😂
Outstanding historical Hollywood rendering TechniColor rendez-vous! First Class clip ever. Merci beaucoup from Paris France and take care 😉. 👍👍👍
What a woman!!
Este filme é maravilhoso.
I wonder why they didn’t add Virginia’s name in the beginning credits.(Starring List)
Same ? Here as well!🤔!
Apparently her number was hastily added in after the original cut of the movie was done.
Is that a fake horse? Wow, the talent involved in these old films is impressive
Believe it or not, that's the prop Silver from the Lone Ranger movie serials.
I was tripping out on it too!!
Grace 💛🙏🌻
Estupenda morocha y graciosa!!😃👌🌹🍃🌹🍃🌹🍃🌠💎🌠💎
Should've been 100 today...
Me encanta los musicales de la metro gordinflón Mayer mgm
Was that a real horse?!?
It seems it isn't
Real horses blink.
@@NeelLLumi-AnCatDubh I had the same reaction, but what a tremendous amount of detail - including clear representation of moving muscles under the "skin" and other marvelous design. Wow!
nope it wasn't! Virginia had a huge phobia or horses so she required it to be fake
nothing is real on black mirror
Virginia is the gal for me.
When women weren't so worried about seeming desperate. Jolene anyone?!
Occult program
Traditional 💕 I love it
That horse looks creepy and lifeless
That's part of the joke ... that this is going to be a comedy bit.
Bueno . lástima no subs
These actors are great but do you know who is greater? Jesus. He is selfless and loving. He died for everyone's sins, past, present, and future. Be careful when watching these films. We mustn't make these people our idols. Exodus 20:3-5 says "You must not have any other god but me. You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens on earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods." Not only that, but the end times are here. 2 Timothy 4:1-5 states "You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. People will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!" This is merely to inform people, not to attack them. God bless.
