- The Jurassic Park scenes we never got to see include a lot of older movie scripts and concepts that were almost made official canon and lore but have now been given alternate status as unmade apocryphal material. These include unused dinosaur attacks, fights, longer scenes and different endings.

According to Laura Dern, they had nearly a dozen models of severed limbs from Ray Arnold. She said during one take, she heard laughing around the set, and looked around and saw that she was dragging all of the limbs from her foot, and the crew was laughing at her. They were only ended up using one arm, but I guess they had a bunch of variations for some reason.
More dramatic death or fake out death impact.
I like the idea of Eric Kirby being a closer representation of Tim Murphy from the book; I've always liked that character more and I feel like this is a more interesting character than what we ended up with. Cooper being more than just a random mook, but a surrogate father/big brother figure is also a better relationship dynamic than Eric just vacationing with his mom's boyfriend like we got in the final film. Giving the characters more nuance is something I'm always on board with.

Me, definitely. It’s a rather interesting incorporation of certain novel elements into the films, and gosh darn it, I have a lot of nostalgia for it.
Honestly despite its dialogue it’s the best sequel.

@toyboxskits1341its not just for no ads, I pay for it so I can close my screen off while I'm driving so I can listen to stuff without worrying about getting accused of watching videos while driving. Oh and some ads go for like 30 mins if you don't skip, and its really not expensive, id rather pay for youtube than some trash like Netflix.

The alternative Ludlow deaths are much more accurate to Dodgsons death in the book but also the finished script isn’t too far off. It’s confusing.
Also I hate that Nedrys character is only remembered for his movie adaptation, the book character is way more sympathetic.

I think the power plant in Fallen Kingdom, where claire and company turned on the power to find Blue, is the original geothermal plan. The base of volcanoes is the proper location. In the book, the distance between the visitor center, Hammond's bunker and the power plant was never established. The movie made everything seem side by side, which in reality wouldn't happen because the bunker and power plant would be considered eyesores and kept away from public eyes. No different than the way amusement parks operate today. The behind the scenes are hidden.

Human or dinosaur for that matter, in fact he left the movie pretty much in the same place is was in when it started in terms of species mixing species. Ideally the next filmaker can pick up on the thread of dinosaurs & humanity co existing.

Why are some people so obsessed with having the Rex kill the Spino? It's been 20 years and people are literally making petitions to try and get this to happen. Like I get it, nobody wanted to see the Rex get beaten and in a scientifically accurate scenario the Rex would win 99 times out of 100. But there's enough room in the franchise for more than one big bad dinosaur. Rexy already fought and won against two other big bad dinos, you wanna watch it again for a third time?

The 1977 photo is a basking shark. I saw a fairly comprehensive video about it some years back. With an outline and having seen several photos and video of decaying basking sharks that have been found at see over the years, its fairly obviously a basking shark......as much as I still want it to be a plesiosaur.

Great idea throwing all of these together. All the expanded JP/JW ideas that we may never get to see on a screen are such a shame. Hopefully down the line we get to see some of these unused concepts used in Jurassic content much like The Mandalorian has done with unused STAR WARS scenes/concept art.
I feel like the military vs dinosaurs would only really work with either a large pack of something smart or one of the hybrids from the world movies. While the Dino’s can be scary, they aren’t monsters, and bullets will work on them, especially explosives such as grenades or rockets
I always have wanted to see the T-rex river scene, man that would have been amazing. How horrifying would it be to be floating down a river... and bein' like, oh that rex can't swim.. turns out it can. Oh shit that would be horrifying.
Having Ricardo Delgado sharing such info on JP3 is so cool!! Always admired his work ever since Age of Reptiles. Funnily enough he would eventually make his own Spinosaurus-centric story, taking cues for Yojimbo, though the dead spinosaurus offspring wasn't included. Still, there is enough of a blank in the movie to include all reasons behind Spinosaurus' persistence besides the Peter Pan crocodile homage.

Was there ever any lore about the rest of "The 5 Deaths"? We know Nublar and Sorna, but what are the others called? Were they going to be used for anything?
I’ve done a few videos on them. They’re called Las Cinco Muertes : Sorna, Peña, Muerta, Tacaño and Matanceros. Nublar isn’t actually apart of the chain. The 5 Deaths are named after ways the natives died years before InGen showed up.

I don’t mind the opening scene change because it’s roughly the same thing, but I don’t think people would have immediately connected it to jaws. It’s all about the dialogue in the scene. In the novel, Regis says it was a construction accident and the doc doesn’t immediately question him. She thinks it in her head. All that would have been needed was maybe some dialogue with her whispering to a colleague that she thinks he’s lying. Scene couldn’t have totally worked and been great. I think it just boiled down to Steven wanting a more action oriented start

That funeral scene is insanely good. I wish it was part of TLW. It really ties together the impact of the human perspective on the events of 93. I wish they would've gone with that side of the human experience of all this in the new series of films rather than going off into military research and human cloning. I'm much more interested in the question of narratives and truth than "wow science is crazy!"

I’d like to see a complete recast that goes back to the original JP timeline, a la Rogue One. Like a movie that shows what happened on isla sorna or isla nublar after JP and in between The Lost World and JP3.
Probably for the best that Diametridon was left out since it's a Permian/Triassic Synapsid, not a dinosaur, then again neither are Mosasaurs and Pterosaurs

I love this i have the books my mom bought me then when I was 22/23 and it’s been 4 years later and I’m still on page 70ish right when they got to the island I need to read them this winter cause I wish the movies were exactly like the book R rated I would love that ( i haven’t read a box since I was 18 in high school) but I bought another book from micheal called the timeline and it seems like it’ll be very good people said it was more intense or something then Jurassic park

It has always felt weird to me that they swapped Tim and Lex's ages and general personalities. That said, Joe Mazello is an amazing actor so that is compensation, it's just still strange.
i think you forget that the jp franchise is pretty christian-friendly (or jewish, since they're both abrahamic religions), so the controversy around zara getting annihilated by the mosasaurus after having had a death struggle vs a pterosaur already does seem a little excessive. yes, this is an animal attack movie and animals dont have morals, but most kills in the whole franchise were either comeupins, hero's sacrifice or collateral damage. for collateral damage this scene went on for too long and the focus was fully on her in comparison to random "red shirts" getting picked off by random dinosaurs in all franchises. she also wasnt even close to a low level hero, she did her job of paying attention to the kids pretty badly and barely protected them at all, so it wasnt really a sacrifice on her behalf, just her failing in general. and she also wasnt bad enough for her to had to have gotten her comeupins either, so what you end up with is an outright voyeuristic extended scene on some poor woman whose death did nothing to protect anyone or anything. some would call this in bad spirit, others would call it realistic. but realistically, why DID we focus on it so much? couldnt it have been any other dude from the masses like the "unlucky bastard"? couldnt it have gone on in the background somewhere? couldnt she have been killed in a second? ofc it couldve happened those ways, too, but trevorrow wanted a shocking scene in an animal attack movie, which is great by itself, just a little unfitting for the franchise.
as a comparison let's take those typical horror movies where promiscuous people and drug users/alcoholics all die first and the teetotaler/dry virgin survives. the christian/jewish message is obvious. now how unfitting would it be for such a movie franchise to suddenly pretty much first kill the one good hearted virgin who never boozes and has a cross around their neck and then focus on this death scene for 10 times longer than any other death scene in the whole movie? exactly.
dont get me wrong, i loved the scene, but it's only so surprising bc it was so unfitting. if the whole movie franchise had more moments like this like final destination, then everyone would relish in the guts and gore spilt

Really would of liked that version of LW where Ludlow and Tembo die, they get back by the skin of their teeth and they bury Hammond and the island because Lex and Tim are his legacy. The dinosaurs are out there in secret. I know it's not "Blockbuster" and Universal Producers would go apes*it that this is one of the highest grossing film series of the decade. You cant end it like that! .... But thematically, feel its the better way to go.

There is nothing nothing nothing... no scene, no concept, no idea in any of these movies that is "too violent". These films are kid's films. Read the novels if you want to know what a violent dinosaur story is. We need an R rated dinosaur film
I would like to point out that the shark was supposed to be alive when the Mosasaurous ate it in Jurassic World. They even showed that in the trailer.
Roland Tembo 100% should have gotten a redemption arc. It would have made for a much more mature and nuanced story. A lot of big game hunters are easy to hate but many of them have noble intentions and aren’t simply out to spill blood for the sake of killing.
There's a giant root Carter could've easily tripped over and everyone else ran over him in fear.

For me, the Spinosaurus was the single worst thing about the JP movies. It's noticeable that it isn't really in the LW movies, although Doninion shows them in the more true way that they are believed to have walked etc.
[The only scene that it was in that I thought was any good (more scary comedy than anything else) is when Grant et al hear the phone ring and then the camera pans to the Spino once they realise that it had eaten the guy who had one of the satellite phones; and then when it smashes through the fence shortly afterwards.]
The T-Rex and the raptors are the stars of the series, even the LW ones (although I felt that Fallen Kingdom, and Dominion,especially, had deviated away from being a movie about dinosaurs and more about humans being scumbags ...), and it is a shame that they brought in the Spino as a "natural" adversary for the Rex as it just made the whole thing silly and killed off the (formerly) baby Rex when people didn't want it - the Indo Rex was OK as even though it was a bit silly, you can rest assured that humans would try to make an even more dangerous and scary creature if events like this were possible, and the Indoraptor was just this in a smaller scale (size and movie presence).
JP/JW should have left it to the Rex, Raptors and other real dinos IMO; they could have pretty much done all that they did with the Indo Rex with one or two T-Rex and the last two movies can be forgotten about pretty much IMO (again, the Giga was not a rival for the T-Rex, as bone structure and modern anatomical science shows)

Anyone else think that the exclusion of the Spino in the JW sequels feels a bit disappointing? There was so many times in the films where I was like.. And the Spino enters lol.

Defiinitely think the Arnold scene is sorely missed in the movie. As a kid I remember thinking 'guess hes dead then?' and feeling disattisfied at that part.
