Isla Nublar was called cloud island because of the fog that would often overtake the island hiding it in clouds, or that's what I recall from the book.

The funny thing is that Doctor who says she was here before Dr. Wu saying she was her before the plan, and never agreed to it. By her still being there after it was put into effect, she was giving her consent by continuing to work they and getting a check. She obviously didn't hate the idea enough to stand by her convictions and quit or go public about what was going on.

You talk about how the Lysine Contingency was flawed due to Dr Wu’s arrogance to think it was a viable control measure. But I question if it was an intentionally flawed failsafe that he engineered to ensure that his work would not be destroyed simply because INGEN or the Park failed. Any non biologist would hear the explanation and think ok good we have a failsafe but he may have known it was all smoke and mirrors and his work would survive.

Lysine contingency and the Pterodons getting are like the breeding Velociraptors as symbols of Malcom's warning to Wu, "Life finds a way". I believe we can and should see Metriacanrthosaurs, Segisaurs, Proceratosaurs, and Troodons. The latter would present a Deinonychus and Velociraptors-like threat think The Lost World: Jurassic Park game Human Hunter and Human Prey levels. There should be Pectinodons too. I would say Troodon Pectinodon is a hybrid. The Tylosaurus is in the ocean somewhere. I think the Pterosaurs are vicious beasts in the series eg dropping Zara into the lagoon.

Comments on Troodon taxonomics: I think Ingen's clone being called Troodon pectinodon works out. Troodon being the genus designation and pectinodon being a species designation . A genus name can be used as a species designation and has been done in paleontology. The one that comes to mind is Kansasensis (Meaning from kansas) belonging to Tylosaurus kansensis and planulina kansasensis (a marine micro-organism). With troodon being a nomendubium in 2011 and formosus being in doubt, Ingen's solution appears to be maintaining the genus while creating their own species inside the genus.
Colossal biosciences (IRL Ingen) plans to take the same approach with their planned dodo bird based on their planned modifications to its genome. ( I have one or two really bad videos on colossal's comparisons with Ingen).
Ingen's dinosaur may not be a hybrid but without carefully identifying osteological correlates to paleontological taxonomic identifiers (synapomorphies) (something ingen could only accomplish via CT or dissection) a confirmed species designation is impossible, giving it a unique corporate designation is actually responsible in my opinion.
My next issue is ragged tooth, most theropods (all, to my limited knowledge) drop their teeth, much like sharks do, ragged tooth would have to be a physical or infection based disruption to this process. That being said, tyrannosaurs do carry pathologies from some sort of infection of the jaw that is visible as boreholes and bone necrosis in the dentary bones of the lower jaw.
Sorry bout the paragraph, Christ is indeed king! Merry christmas!

The JP tell-tale game "Troodon" is an addition that is as fascinating as it is baffling. It IS a fun creature concept but so weird and horror-heavy it almost feels out of place for the franchise and more at home in a Carnosaur knock-off or even Dino Crisis. Their design is also so cartoony, it was hard to take them seriously. There ARE interesting things to do with an animal that for a long time was held as most intelligent non-avian dinosaur, cousin of dromaeosaurids but still different. I wrote JP sequel pitches where a Troodontid would show higher than usual intelligence and use it, not to kill, but to free itself from the confines of Costa Rica.

A point that I constantly see getting glossed over is the fact that Isla Nublar could NOT contain their assets. In the book there were a few accounts of dinosaurs getting off the island and surviving even with the contingency plan in effect. They never had control. Tim sees raptors on the ship with binoculars during the tour, and we can't forget the baby that had its face eaten by a compy.

The dinos getting around the lysine contingency always struck me as BS in The Lost World. The animals wouldn't adapt quickly enough to "start eating lysine enriched foods" naturally to continue surviving before they slipped into comas. Just like Malcom's death, it was a work around Crichton needed to come up with to tell the story he wanted to tell.
