- The Starch Solution weekly meal prep plus freezer staples is the focus of this video. I will show you how I prep for the week to make sure I have plenty of options for work lunches and dinners. I will also show you a few of the items I keep in my freezer to make sure I stay on track. Making sure that your environment has compliant foods ready for you is key. One of the recipes I learned from Anne Esselstyn is “savory” oatmeal. Most people make oatmeal sweet with berries or raisins etc. She makes it with a vegan chicken broth (I use Seitenbacher) and hot sauce (I use tobasco). I know it sounds gross, but it’s my favorite now. Also, another suggestion I learned from Dr. Greger about broccoli prep. If you cut up (or break up) broccoli, let it rest for about 45 min before cooking. You dramatically increase it’s cancer fighting/preventing properties. If you can’t wait, add mustard seed powder to the water your cooking with. Just thought I’d share...

This is so simple, and so helpful! Thank you! I must say that the one thing I miss about living in the States is having so many food choices! I miss Trader Joe's and Whole Foods SO MUCH. I expend a great deal of energy preparing the vegetables!

Food prep has always been my Waterloo. I hate to cook, only do it because I have to eat, but this does simplify it so much. When we got home late from a medical appt. today, I was able to just reach into the fridge, pull out my salad stuff (all cut up and ready to go), and the mashed potatoes I made a couple of days ago and I was done! Good thing, too, because I was famished! Thank the good Lord for potatoes!

I'm prepping today too. I made a batch of veggie broth for the first time. I rely too much on store bought variety, although it is very convenient to have in my cabinet. My goal is to have 12 family dinners we love so I'm auditioning two new recipes this week. They need to be delicious and look inviting too. I have never been to Trader Joe's. I have a list of items to buy there though. Thank you for sharing your food prep. It is helpful to see the plan of a person who works outside the home, like I do. The wide video view shows realistic prep so thank you for that. My kitchen sink and dishwasher and drying counter gets crazy on prep day.

One question I have- I have been doing the starch solution and loving it! But I hate hate hate potato. Can I continue to be successful just doing sweet potato? I have tried to like potato but I just don’t :(

Yes white rice is fine. I like to mix both brown and white rice together in my rice cooker. It's the best of both worlds!
I enjoy white rice…how ever there is a brown rice I like just as much or more…Brown Jasmine so, so, delicious!! Boiling it like pasta makes it not stick together!!

Here's a recipe for the best natural underarm deodorant I know. I gave up antiperspirants about 20 years ago and started using this, which works much better. Mix equal parts of coconut oil, baking soda and corn starch (about 1 tablespoon each). Put into a container. Use by scooping a small amount out on you fingers and smear on underarms.

The concept is make what ever veggies you like. I happen to like green beans and broccoli. I also eat carrots, onions mushrooms, zucchini etc. It was just an example. you do you.
Has anyone tried freezing the cheese sauce?
I have. It works pretty well. The texture does change a bit but it still tastes great.
