I have been snacking on watermelon lately because it is really ripe right now here in AZ. The riced cauliflower in the pancakes is a great idea. Oh! The homemade granola is another great idea for the pancakes. Ok, I am waking up at your place one day and waiting for breakfast!! Wow, the plate up of the teriyaki stir fry with the white rice was so attractive. I mean its a simple meal right, but it just looks soooo decadent. Ok, I feel like I make potatoes and broccoli with cheese sauce on it all the time, but I just love it and its so simple and delicious. I feel like that is just a really good base meal to have in your arsenal as a vegan, right? Ok, I also wanted to tell you that I was in the hospital recently to have a brain tumor removed and my nurses were SO AMAZING!! So shoutout to you and all the nurses for everything you all do. My nurses made a really rough situation so much better. Thanks for all you do as a nurse and as a starch based influencer. Love watching you! - Joey

Thanks for watching! For Frozen veggies I put them in a non stick pan with a little water on medium heat, cover and let them heat until they are totally thawed and warm all the way through about 10 minutes then add your sauce. Very basic and easy, not much to it. I hope that helps you.

I think it's very important to show fruit as snacks in what I eat in a day videos. Those videos inspire people and the #1 food cause of death according to the best medical sources I found through Dr greger is not enough fruit.
Even if you don't want to film it's at least worth taking a picture. If I were to not show any fruit in a what I eat in a day I could potentially not be showing half my calories (some fruit is relatively high in calories approximate ex:banana 405 kcal lb, jackfruit 430 kcal/lb, passion fruit 440 kcal/lb, breadfruit 470 kcal/lb, durian 670 kcal/lb, hass (the common type) avocado (varies a lot) 720-1360 kcal/lb, dates 1260 kcal/lb)
Hello Debbie, could you look into plantains and see if you could make some meals from those and if they are starch solution friendly? I love ripe plantains, are tou familiar with them. Looks just like Bananas but bigger and must be cooked before eating them, very sweet and delicious. Hope you see this message. , I just started eating vegan a week ago because of your channel. The Teriyaki stir fry looks so good! I will also be trying those pancakes as well as the cheese sauce using cashew powder! When making the Teriyaki recipe: Do you add the entire 2 1/2 cups of the sauce (the 1 cup of coconut aminos and 1 1/2 c. veggie broth) to the cooked vegetables?
Love these recipes. How to you ensure adequate caloric needs are being met? Yes to no counting, but also the body needs a certain amount per day. (Maintenance and even weight loss) Do you have fruit as dessert? :) so good. Thanks!
Good question! If you are eating until you are comfortably full and are eating a variety of non starchy veggies, whole starches like potatoes, oats and rice, beans and legumes and fruit you will easily get enough calories. When you are hungry, eat until you are comfortably full.

You are so welcome! I randomly bought that brand at a discount store it wasn't that great. I prefer to grind my own oats to make flour. So easy and cheap. I have Celiac so I don't use wheat flour.

What I can tell you is eating this way (low fat) definitely will help as far as what exactly you should eat you should refer to @mastering diabetes.

The are also called, gold or yellow potatoes. I'm not sure where you live but here in the states you can find them at most grocery stores. Red potatoes are good too. It's a nice change from russet potatoes.
I eat mostly white jasmine rice. I buy a 25 pound bag at Costco. Brown rice has a more fiber but I prefer white rice. Think about the Asian culture, they eat white rice and they do not have the obesity epidemic like here in the USA

The are also called, gold or yellow potatoes. I'm not sure where you live but here in the states you can find them at most grocery stores. Red potatoes are good too. It's a nice change from russet potatoes.

coconut aminos is similar to soy sauce but it is made from coconut. They should have it at a health store.
I also have Celiac and definitely can't eat oats cos they have gluten so not sure how you can eat them!!
I use gluten free oats. Make sure it says gluten free on the package. You can find them at most grocery stores.

Hi, is jasmine rice ok or should we just stick to brown rice? LOW FAT!!
I eat mostly white jasmine rice. I buy a 25 pound bag at Costco. Brown rice has a more fiber but I prefer white rice. Think about the Asian culture, they eat white rice and they do not have the obesity epidemic like here in the USA
