I just realized that all most every single character in victorious has mentall illness. It's fascinating cuz the characters makes them so unique in my opinion
@Ayman Al-Tamimi I mean Jade is bipolar or maybe uses this mean girl persona to help her cope due to her dad not caring about her and her mom not being in the picture. Robbie probably has social anxiety, which would explain how awkward he is around people, or either a personality disorder, which would explain why he carries around a puppet that always makes fun of him. My friend said Sinjin's on the Autism spectrum. Everyone else probably don't have a mental illness, but they do got stuff going on, like Tori and Trina. Their parent's are going through some things. Both parents seem like they neglect the two girls, which would explain why Trina shoots for attention and Tori is more calm and mature because she had to grow up quickly, and it's pretty obvious that the mom is having an affair with the policeman who's also the dad's friend. There's little about Beck, so he doesn't really have a storyline. All I can say is that him and Jade are in a toxic relationship. He lets girls flirt with him and deals with an overly possessive girlfriend, and those two can't get enough of each other, even though they fight and complain often. Sikowitz is a weird hippie crack head. The coconuts, clothing, and behavior are just something else. Sorry for ranting, I know it's a lot to read.
Kimani J As a person with autism, I do have a feeling Sinjin might be on the spectrum, considering his lack of social skills (most notably his inability to detect non-verbal cues) and his obsession with bugs (most autistic people have very few interests that are very developped)
I mean Cats Parent's may Be abusive Because when Beck and Jade Argue She Says "Im Under My bed" and Covers her ears And then faints And Also Robbie Says "I don't like being beaten I never did"
It's dementia plus I'm assuming andre lost his parents and grandfather. That would make me lose my shit too. Parents have the possibility of snapping mentally if they lose their children no matter the age, especially if it's traumatic enough.
SergeantRenegade imagine losing your child and your husband ? Possibly son/daughter in law that was dear to you ? It makes sense if she’s very close with family which is clear she is .
Every caring parent wants to die before their kid. Mostly because that's how the brain is wired. When the kid dies the parent has no idea what went wrong. I'm starting to think she possible maybe had multiple miscarriages before one survived and then ya know. Andre is maybe the reason why she hasn't gone full crazy.
Yeah. Andre has never talked about his parents so I think she lost them. They had Andre and then disappeared or killed. So Andre went to his Grandma and Grandpa. Grandfather died and that's when she went crazy. That's what I think anyway
i don't remember much from this show, but i do distinctly remember a quote from Andre in an episode where the gang is stuck inside a hot bus. "My grandma - before she went insane - always used to say, 'No matter how bad things are, you can always make it better with a song.'" i may have butchered the quote, but the idea's still there. his grandma wasn't always crazy and Andre was old enough to remember when she wasn't.
Maddie Tannie maybe that’s why Andre puts up with her instead of putting her in an old people’s home like she seems she should. Before grandma lost her mind she was a decent musician but never went anywhere and Andres parents either had the grandma live with them or they died and Andre had to live with his grandma. Her passion for singing rubbed of on Andre and grandma was his biggest influence.
I honestly didn't find Andre's grandma that funny to begin with (she wasn't a bad character and the actress herself is lovely, though!), but looking back I find it terrible that the show played severe mental illness for laughs. It's such a cruel thing to further stigmatize and LAUGH AT this kind of suffering. Anyway, I love any of your analyses on any of the Victorious characters (or any other character on any other show). I think the whole Andre and his grandma thing is hilarious don't get me wrong, but as a teacher it's so bizarre to watch. A kid being "cared for" exclusively by a very sick, unstable old woman who actually requires HIS care more than the other way around isn't acceptable and the school would definitely have intervened. Also, somewhat related side note: I've had many students who live with grandparents and it's pretty much never because the parents are dead but because they're unfit to care for their child. Considering the harmful stereotype that black people are deadbeats/abandon their kids, it really left a bad taste in my mouth that Andre had to be the one with mysteriously absent parents
I agree with everything aforementioned but it’s worth stating that almost all the characters don’t really have involved parents. Tori and Trina’s parents literally attempt to abandoned Trina by leaving both their daughters alone before Tori can abject. No one even knows what’s wrong with Cat’s parents either, just that her brother is definitely mentally unstable and that they’re most likely too involved with him to care for Cat. Jade’s dad doesn’t approve of what she does and is absent from her life for the most part because of work. Tori’s mother is cheating with her husband’s coworker so that’s also very messed up. All these people are really unstable.

4) Why is Beck living outside his parents driveway? Beck explains this to Tori his parents said if he wasnts to live in their house he gots to obay their rules so His Trailer Home His Rules as he puts it
My maternal grandmother had schizophrenia, and I can say that Andre's grandma is portraying a lot of symptoms of being a schizophrenia. She's paranoid that people are after her and is having hallucinations, which my grandmother had. My grandmother didn't exhibit symptoms of schizophrenia until her parents died, and then she went completely off the deep end when her husband, my grandfather, passed away in 2008
I can't believe you contacted her!! And she even responded!!! Ahhhhhhh thank you so much for doing this. You came through harder than 3 Kool-Aid men! 🤣🤣. I appreciate your efforts and you so much 🌻🌿
I'd like to see if you can do something with Tori's Dad and how her mom was acting after his character was gone from the show. Like "Victorious Analysis - Why Tori's Dad Disappeared"
There was an episode when Andre said something to his friends and said “My grandma told me that..you know *before she went crazy* “ so that means she wasn’t always crazy.
I don't think she is 53? She just said she's been screaming for 53 years. She could have meant she's been screaming since a certain point in her life. I think saying that she's 53 for that statement is jumping pretty quick into conclusions. Either way, good video
But mostly when you say something like this you often refer to your age. As kind of a joke. For exaple. I looove swimming. But I wouldn'T say it like : Oh, I swam for 18 years at this point - Because I began with swimming at the age of six-nearly seven I would say 'I love to swim since 25 years' - Even if this is my age Not a good exaple, but it would explain that she is 53 years old After all we don'T know that much about her
I don’t think she’s related to Cat because cat is the only “different” one in the family maybe besides her brother, also I’m not saying there can’t be black and white family races but I think it’s unlikely for Andres grandma and cat
In one of the episodes, Andre said that his grandma thought him something(I forgot what) “before y’know she went crazy”. Those were his words. I’m sorry I forgot which episode it was too. Thanks for making this video, I imagine it would be hard to make an analysis.
i worked at a nursing home as an activity person and we had a lady with dementia and schizophrenia and she acted very much like this. she would constantly ask for people’s names and was scared that if she got someone’s name wrong she’d be killed. she was scared of almost everything especially new people. she still knew basic things but she still feared most of them. she was also pretty young and it started early. so i think andreas grandma might have both dementia and schizophrenia, the behavior matches up.
You forgot something important, in the episode “Jade gets crushed” André says “And i promised my grandma i would never be a bad person! Y’know Before she lost her mind”
I think that she's in her 70s. And this is why I think she snapped. Andre has never talked about his parents. All the others have. We might not have seen them, but they've talked about them so we know they're there. Andre never talks about his. I think they had Andre and then got in trouble or died or something. So Andre went to live with his grandparents. I don't think this is where she went crazy. Andre has said there was a time where his grandma wasn't crazy. I think she had been shouting for a long time. She wasn't crazy, but just because she's been shouting for 53 years doesn't mean she's crazy. But I think whatever happened to his parents started her to go downhill. I think Andre was between 7-10 years old when her husband died. I think that's when she snapped. Losing her children definitely brought her down, because losing children at any age hurts. But then losing your husband? And he was probably in his late 50s, early 60s. I would be a wreck. And then she started getting dementia. So I think she's suffering from loss and dementia. That's my theory on this.
I’m not sure why but when she was screaming at the butterfly in cats ear to “Get out of there!” . With the passion she had in her voice it made me think of her possibly having said that before to someone else that was actually in real danger perhaps someone she lost to that danger...?
What if andre’s grandma was in a car crash with Andre’s parents and she was the only one to survive. Which explains why you never see Andre’s parents and he lives with his grandma. The car crash could be why she acts like that. It could have hit her head the wrong way and make her crazy.

To answer your first question, Cat's brother is Frankini from Henry Danger.
@@JaxNovoa509Frankini is actually Ariana”s brother in irl named Frankie grande
@@Trixisntforkids I already know that.
I wonder whatever happened to Andre’s parents.
Me too! We know practically nothing about them.
i’m going to go with a stereotypical car crash
@@zahara1115
I'm going with the stereotypical plane crash
I'm going with the stereotypical 'parents got divorced and disappeared cuz Andre was an un-wanted child'
@@moonundernostalgia good point.
My maternal grandmother had schizophrenia, and I can say that Andre's grandma is portraying a lot of symptoms of being a schizophrenia. She's paranoid that people are after her and is having hallucinations, which my grandmother had. My grandmother didn't exhibit symptoms of schizophrenia until her parents died, and then she went completely off the deep end when her husband, my grandfather, passed away in 2008
This wasn’t the video i expected to pop up on my explore page but it’s definitely what i needed.
Thank you for watching!
Okay but did she get the helicopter away doe..
Hopefully you didn’t thrash the Vega sisters thumbnail hahaha would still love to see that topic for future video ❤️❤️
Nah, it was just a goof. I've still got it.
I can't believe you contacted her!! And she even responded!!! Ahhhhhhh thank you so much for doing this. You came through harder than 3 Kool-Aid men! 🤣🤣. I appreciate your efforts and you so much 🌻🌿
No problem, be sure to check her out and tell her that Jayniac Jr. Sent you.
@@JayniacJr I will! 😃😃🌠
I'd like to see if you can do something with Tori's Dad and how her mom was acting after his character was gone from the show.
Like "Victorious Analysis - Why Tori's Dad Disappeared"
I plan on mentioning them in my discussion on the Vega Sisters.
Shes such a sweetheart! She even donated to my college gofundme:))
best grandma of the century tbh
Please do the Vega Sisters next?!
OMG ANDRÈS GRANDMA NOTICED ME BEFORE SHE SAYS IM A REAL GRANDFAN AAAAAAAAAAAAA
THATS SO COOL AIGDKAHD
I'd say dementia/ schiziohrenia and agoraphobia (the fear of going outside)
"hello."
*I DON'T KNOW YOU!!! AAAAHHHH!*
I swear charlotte was lit. She was a riot.
ANDRE WHY AM I ON MY CELLULAR DEVICE
XD
its just ure camera app grandma
There was an episode when Andre said something to his friends and said “My grandma told me that..you know *before she went crazy* “ so that means she wasn’t always crazy.
Marilyn did such an amazing job with this characters acting!!!
But I wouldn'T say it like : Oh, I swam for 18 years at this point - Because I began with swimming at the age of six-nearly seven
I would say 'I love to swim since 25 years' - Even if this is my age
Not a good exaple, but it would explain that she is 53 years old
After all we don'T know that much about her
@@KaliqueClawthorne r/youngpeopleyoutube
she probably was somehow related to Cat's family, or lost her mind ever since André's parents were gone or something
I don't know if you know her but azula from the last airbender is a good topic
honestly this just feels like ableism mixed with racism rolled up in a kids show
That wholesome ass intro made me smile I'm a dark time. Thank you Jayniac Jr.
“We know André’s grandma is 53 years old.” She could be older.
i worked at a nursing home as an activity person and we had a lady with dementia and schizophrenia and she acted very much like this. she would constantly ask for people’s names and was scared that if she got someone’s name wrong she’d be killed. she was scared of almost everything especially new people. she still knew basic things but she still feared most of them. she was also pretty young and it started early. so i think andreas grandma might have both dementia and schizophrenia, the behavior matches up.
Yaaaasssss!!!!!!!!! I’ve been waiting for this!!!
That clip before the actual analysis is the most wholesome thing I've seen in a long time. She must be protected.
You forgot something important, in the episode “Jade gets crushed”
André says “And i promised my grandma i would never be a bad person! Y’know Before she lost her mind”
Marilyn seems so cool; I'll check out her channel! Thanks for the cool video on Andre's grandma! :D
She was a joy to communicate with!
"she also has music out on spotify"
SAY WHAT NOW!?
I remember in one episode, Andre said "Before she went crazy" referring to his grandma
That's my theory on this.
every episode she in is instantly one of my favorite
I’ve never been this early
Love your content :)
Thank you!
I’m not sure why but when she was screaming at the butterfly in cats ear to “Get out of there!” . With the passion she had in her voice it made me think of her possibly having said that before to someone else that was actually in real danger perhaps someone she lost to that danger...?
I have been waiting for this for the longest time it's not even funny
Your voice is so pleasant to listen to. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos!!! 💜💜💜
Thank you for taking time to watch them!!!
I *really* need to find out what happened to André’s parents.
Andre's grandma is lowkey the best character there is. She's not annoying. She's just funny
Do the Vega sisters and prove me wrong that Tori was the bad sister
But what if I disagree?
Jayniac Jr. Everyone has opinions!
Imagine what would happen if Andre's grandma and Crazy Steve are in the same room.
everyone loves jade, beck, tori andre etc.
but i live andres grandma
“ANDRE! ITS RAINING IN MY BATHROOM!”
“Grandma, she was just taking a shower”
What if andre’s grandma was in a car crash with Andre’s parents and she was the only one to survive. Which explains why you never see Andre’s parents and he lives with his grandma. The car crash could be why she acts like that. It could have hit her head the wrong way and make her crazy.
I just realized how much patience Andre has
I know about dementia because my great grandmother has it
I think Andre's grandma and Cat would have such a great dynamic.
"ANDRE!" It's awesome to dive into our loud and unpredictable grandmother of our talented/patient Hollywood Arts student. Keep doing what your doing!
You can't change my mind, Andre's grandma is the best character
My mom is slowly becoming Andre's grandmother. As we watched the show again, we realized that fact. Pray for me
Please continue the polls
Thank you, will do!
the fact that you got her to make that clip deserves a like imo
im like pretty sure she also has severe agoraphobia or a related anxiety disorder
Andres Grandma was actually first reason for me to watch the show when i was a kid
Please do the Vega sisters next :)
On it!
