Extremely helpful as usual. Much appreciated. Glad that Ravenswatch players / theorycrafters hook up like this. We had a chat in the comments under the previous video. I'm the console guy that has been doing "homework" for a long while waiting for the game to be released. One thing I have failed to find a decent guide about is stagger. I understand how essential it is to break that bar to be able to do damage efficiently. Would you mind doing a video about talents on all the characters that do the most stagger damage? Or if there is such a guide, would you direct me to it? Thanks a lot. 3 more days to wait and then only two weeks to enjoy it in peace before Path of Exile 2 comes out 😅 PS. Really hope they don't nerf the economy build before I get to enjoy it. Though it is indeed unbalanced. Reminds me a bit of how Ceremonial Dagger was/is broken on the Curse of the Dead Gods. That item simply made me not want to play with anything else. Makes so much more damage than anything else, faster and easier to use AND scales (obscenely high) with the one stat that gives you more gold/better gear 🙃
Dude I'm excited for you to get this soon, and I could look into the stagger idea, not sure if I'd be able to get something like that up before launch> I'm working on clear speeds video and character tier list for launch so most of my focus will be there but maybe down the line
I hope you make a similar discussion on skills and talent synirgy as well. Something I have noticed is that not all skills or talents take other skills or talents effect. If you take Sforzando and Explosive Blast with Piedpiper special will deal defense's damage as well. Where with Beowulf, Secondery Tremor will not trigger Double Shock.
@@aauukk1 Ohh I don’t know if we go too deep into that in the character video but yeah I love when talents work like that. Sforzando completely changed so many builds for piper and made a lot of underwhelming things incredibly useful
In my opinion Leprechaun Coin should instead of giving dream shards, it should be like 10% chance to refund/not use reroll when rerolling, with diminishing stack. So with 5 its not 50%, its maybe 30%. Just to make it the "take this if you want to reroll a bunch" item, but removes the feeling of you have to reroll.
@@positive4ceI think it's more like when you were not lucky to get Balors eye or any dash items and have a lot of special cooldowns and big their number and need no more to attack, you just press special, then dash and just sliding around enemies It also connected with 10 level ulti talent, when creating notes by dash
I still want to start the game with like 2-3 Bans that get rid of an option while also re-rolling. The more you level up a character the better build synergy you get at the expense of having a lot more talents that can keep popping up stopping you from getting said synergy.
@@Sombriage Yeah I think for that reason a ban system would be cool, I know some people will play on new saves for the specific reason of targeting some talents they want in runs and it’s weird to have that as a legitimate option for efficiency

I feel like if you aren't given a decent selection at level 2 you want to just restart at that point. Wasting re-rolls on a bad re-roll system isn't fun for me. Bans would help alleviate the issue and items like Lep Coin could be altered to be less dependent.

Super new player here with the game just releasing on Xbox and it’s interesting to hear what’s actually good. I didn’t know what super affects even were. I thought wishing wells were t worth it and always neglected economy type choices / rerolls. And broadly wasn’t valuing magical items in general Only done like 5 runs on the 1st difficulty
@@erkgrr5863 Wishing well become really important to get super effects and can help your early game after completing 1-2 shard camps. And I’d say probably avoid the economy choices while you’re new, they reward players that have a really good understanding of the builds in this game and what they need to do to get them. I’d say to explore the things that sound interesting or fun first and once you have a better grasp of the game then try out the economy stuff to perfect your builds, hope you’re enjoying the game!
Again referring to lep coin, i do think that the eco build is very overpowered but I really like lep coin for the reason that it lets you do the build you want, every time i wanna do a dash build or any other build that requires a common item which makes it so i cant take lep, what I'm missing isn't the amount of money or the damage on egg its the rerolls, which makes it so I'm not getting the talents or the items i want. To fix that i often take horn of plenty and focus rerolls so that I'm just sitting here with 12 rerolls to make sure that i get what i want. In a way that's even more boring because now you just have a bunch of horns with a super effect that's really underwhelming. As for the armor build i really believe that's its only really useful in 5 negs run because in normal nightmare well the enemies aren't doing as much damage of course so in the end in normal nightmare you can always complete the run without any armor if you can dodge the big skills, that's also possible since you have healing fountains. For the ultimate part of this, i wish that real ultimate builds could be done where it would do actual damage with a low enough cd so that it becomes an important part of your build. Maybe with a blue magical object that increases ultimate damage by 20% with a super effect giving it 40% crit chance like the ones for power and special. For dreamcatcher i will say that getting one or two in the first chapter doesn't feel too bad and that it stretches your money much further throughout the game. If I'm not doing the eco build i often wont take Excalibur because rare is when I'll have all my talents at legendary since i don't have all that money from lep coin/egg/etc. As for vorpal blade, even in solo id say that's its an almost always take in chapter one or two, once I'm at chapter 3 i would that its too late for it to be worth it. Lightning ignoring armor is so strong, especially since some enemies like knights in chapter 3 often you'll kill them after staggering them but since the lightning ignores the armor it speeds up your clear so much since it'll kill the knight before ccing him. For hungry grass, I've literally just died on purpose right at the biggening of chapter one just so that i can pick it up later on and get all that damage (I've picked it up in chapter 3 and gotten 130 damage from it). As a player i really enjoy playing glass cannon cause it just fits my playstyle so Oni masque for me is a pick 90% of the time but if that's not your playstyle i totally understand that we can hesitate to take it. The problem I have with Father time's hourglass is that i don't wanna be missing 40 or 60% of my health because that puts me in one shot range so i don't even think the cd reduction from it is worth it. Thanks for the vid it was very interesting!
@@Paandaa0 I agree with a lot of your takes, I think coin should still exist with rerolls as well because if you’re taking something to get the build you want rather than more healing, armor, or crit, then I think that’s fine. I do agree with frebr33ze that it being attacked to dreamshards as well does contribute to it being the strongest item in the game and needs to be looked at in that aspect. And yeah I’d say for you or me who feels really comfortable armor becomes unnecessary outside of 5 neg runs but I know a lot of people struggle on nightmare and a 5x of green armor and 4x dragon hide is probably the safest yet strongest build in the game for them, it becomes really hard to lose with that setup. I really hope they look at ultimates as well because it feels bad when it becomes a dps drop to use your ultimate in late game, having another way to scale them would add so many builds and playstyles to characters so I hope it’s addressed.
