@@torpor8652 Haha yeah that’s how these runs go, it’s about getting enough armor or golden coat and find a way to counter the healing negation and just play with no health, really changes the playstyle from normal nightmare
12:43 "please be the one with the free stone" Is this because you can take it and leave the mine immediately, then go and do the other mine (which has less encounters), totalling enough stone for the mission? @@xxxxSylphxxxx Yeah that’s the reason, never really want to do the one with 3 encounters if I can avoid it, and cause a lot of times you can sneak into the mines with a well timed dash

Yeah golden coat is a lifesaver in these runs, I feel like sometimes I take it to save me early game but if I don't have good healing I might still stack armor even if it works against golden coat
Since the damage pools were modified (and many more added in chapter 4) I think bolstering chain mail with other protection makes a bit more sense. I've lost a surprising amount of feathers to puddles or 'weak' attacks, that I've started to supplement chainmail sometimes, and I prefer to support it with armour since with chain mail, flat healing works better the lower health you're on.
@@xxxxSylphxxxx Yeah that’s a big reason too, a lot of these challenge runs have a huge value on chainmail and become a game of doing enough healing to get you back over certain thresholds.
