Just so people are aware because I don't hear this part talked about enough. A large reason why updates on Stoneshard slowed down was because a large majority of development team lived in Ukraine and in active warzones when the invasion started. They made a very small post about it over a couple years ago and Rags to Riches (this update) was originally intended to be released early this year (2024) AND was set to be even bigger in scope (mage updates, and a few of the smaller updates from earlier this year etc, all in one large overhaul update) sadly this didn't happen as intended BUT has lead to the new roadmap we now see. Please don't be to harsh on the devs when talking about the duration of how long updates take, they really did have to prioritize keeping staff and family safe first and have done an excellent job with that and the game so far.
I touch on it in the streams but yes! I have a lot of respect for the efforts and the quality of the content they are releasing under the circumstances!
This game looks so good, but I'm still on the fence about it. Too much stuff to learn, millions inventory items, I only have a couple hours a day to play. Is it good for casual play? Looks intimidating (great play-through, by the way.)
Glad you're enjoying it! I'd say if you have a couple of hours this is a great game to get into, you can always exit and save the game where you are, if you die you go back to your last rest though. I've really been loving it!
Well theres a reason I didnt call it the ultimate guide lmao, just enjoying the game bud :) never claimed to be here to teach you how to min max. Totally cool if it isnt working for you though!

Hahahah YEEEEES DUUUUUDE
I used to play Dirwin with bow and two handed weapon. not a bad run.
I was contemplating going spear for my secondary, maybe we'll try it out at some point for science!
I wanted to make a bow/crossbow build too but I HATED to pick up all the arrows/bolts after each fight.
It can be a little annoying for sure
