I love how rip knew exactly how old he was, a true best friend.
2 favorite scenes for me in the whole show. When Jimmy wins his first rodeo and how proud lloyd is, and when Jimmy is leaving and Lloyd cant say goodbye.

Lloyd is the greatest father figure Jimmy could’ve had.
I had the pleasure of meeting Forrie Smith. Very friendly and very gracious. What you see is what you get. Down to earth.

Jimmy was definitely Lloyds adoptive son, especially after Rip grew up
Lloyd is the friend that every man needs. Can't be bought nor would he ever betray you and is fiercely loyal. Always one of the first to protect and stand with his friends.
Would give you the shirt off his back, and help you take care of a problem, and not expect a thing in return

Loyd is the best character on the show. He reminds me of the old guys that let me apprentice under them and taught me everything I know. And the reason why I don’t have any friends my age.

The fact that Forrie’s son is an EXACT replica and therefore can give us young Lloyd flashbacks is everything. The character is so pure of heart.
Lloyd is the uncle all of us need but only some of us got.
I like Lloyd as a character, he is the guy who always has your back and he is the guy that if you say we got to mess someone up he will just ask whose car are we taking?
I'll agree, however men of THAT caliber have protocols. YOU gotta earn their respect, especially if it's in their circle of influence or hard earned knowledge. Once you cross into that circle, never give them cause to regret their decision

For me, it's too hard to choose a favorite, which is why I'm sorry to see this series end. No more Taylor Sheridan projects for me. He can't make 'em last. There's no point in "falling in love" with a series that has no future because the creators won't resolve whatever differences pop up. I was sorry to see Sons of Anarchy go the same route.

My grandpops is exactly like Loyd whenever I was down bro would get me a job painting houses or whatever type of contractor work and till this day he still does it and I can I love that man, and Loyd is exactly a man you need in your life💯🙏🏽

Lloyd is such a great character. I didn't really like the storyline where he gets jealous of Walker and the girl. He's so old school he should have known that's just how it goes sometimes. I know Walker did antagonize him a bit, but he should have known better.
Either way Lloyd is one of the best characters on the show!
There is a WORLD of difference between losing your woman... and losing your woman to a guy who you already dislike and sleeps with her in the same room as you and rubs it in your face. Walker got what was coming to him.

I don't think it was about the woman more about the fact that Walker dishonored the Brand and now gets a second chance and gloats around like nothing happened. Loyd has been there the longest and takes pride in being a branded man.
That or he was indeed jealous lol

I think my favorite scene was Lloyd talking to Carter. Lloyd defused that situation better than some of wisest i know.

Lloyd was without doubt my favorite character. Thing only went wrong for him when he stopped being the old man with nothing to prove. If John considers Rip a son, He should consider Lloyd his brother. I haven't seen season 5, buy Lloyd should have his own home on the ranch.

The Dutton Ranch saved Jimmy. Turned his life complete around. Gave him purpose and allowed him to dream, grow and become a man. Lloyd was like a big brother to him. One of the best lines in the entire series is when Jimmy comes back from 6666 Ranch and John says: The only person you owe is yourself Jim, you don't owe me a thing. JIM, not Jimmy. And you see the look on his face as he realizes the significance of the moment. The scene is really profound.
